I won't get the Beast Wars ones,
but I'm soooo happy they're gonna release more G1er's...
Man I wish they would release some combiners,
at least Devastator and Omega Supreme...
Yeah, they wouldn't be in scale with the others,
but that's already happened in the line anyway!
Hoping for:
Hook vs. Snarl
Bonecrusher vs. Slag
Scavenger vs. Swoop
Mixmaster vs. Sludge
Scapper vs. Blaster
Longhaul vs. Sidswipe
Rumble vs. Perceptor
Asrotrian vs. Springer
Blitzwing vs. Ironhide
Kickback vs. Rachet
Bombshell vs. Brawn
Remjet vs. Smokescreen

kimmer wrote:well, one that we're definately getting is galvatron cause he was in one of the pics from comic-con. there was another one pictured but i couldn't quite make it out though it looked kinda like blitzwing.
Looking back at the photos, it is indeed Blitzwing. You can tell by the shape of the wings on his back, and his sword weapon.

I'm down!!
I just really don't want Kup, Blur, or Wheelie!!
Can someone post the link to those pics?
Thanks!!
I just had what I feel is a great idear--
Instead if with an Autobot,
package each Constructicon with his combiner form/mode piece
(some with pegs, others with holes),
so when you get them all, you can form Devastator!
They could even make the head on the chest/shoulders part of Hook hinged so it can be raised/lowered
(also making it easier to fit in the packaging).
The really cool thing is that he'd be 2-3 times taller than the rest of the characters in the line!
I think this could be awesome because I know that they would sculpt the parts of Devastator nice and chunky stylistically.
But I know, I know, not very realistic.

Bass X0 wrote:The four known Robot Heroes of Wave 4 are G1 Galvatron, G1 Blitzwing, BW Cheetor and BW Megatron. That means three more Autobots/Maximals are to be revealed and one Decepticon/Predacon.
It could be that the Beast Wars characters get their own wave... so maybe
Wave 4
Galvatron vs ???
Blitzwing vs ???
maybe more...
Wave 5
Megatron vs Cheetor
??? vs ???
maybe more...

I definitely like the look of Blitz and Galvatron.
But I'm not gonna lie...
I really wanted to see more G1ers before any B.W..
Of course I'm bias, and B.W. probably has more of a following than I realize,
but it bugs me that this probably means the line will "run out" and be done before we ever had the chance to get some of the classics...
And I don't know marketing, but I would think you'd release characters that are more likely to sell,
and then make some "lesser knowns".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't more people in general,
not just fans,
know the G1 characters, and not B.W.????
Just because a toy says "Megatron", doesn't mean it's gonna sell, right?
Is there a chance I'm wrong and this line will carry on for longer than we'd expect?
If there's any confirmation, go ahead and drop the bad news on me now...
My hopes for the Constucticons is already too high.

The line will continue, Hasbro said it's really popular with retailers and fans. And I understand your logic, but it's probably a better idea to "spread out" the popular characters. If you get rid of all the cool TFs at the start, what will be left in the line afterwards?
Look at the Star Wars Galactic Heroes. Most new waves have characters from the classic trilogy, mixed in with characters from the new trilogy, and now they're even mixing in the expanded universe. The Star Wars line has been going on for years, and they still come out with new versions of the popular characters every wave or two (every wave has at least one Vader, Luke, Anakin, Yoda, Chewbacca or Han Solo - to encourage sales, they re-use the popular characters - just like the Transformers Heroes already has two versions of Prime (the normal one and the Matrix-opening one with Unicron - and a third if you count the supermetal finish one from the Wal-Mart exclusive set).
Don't worry, this line will be around for awhile. They're just going to spice it up with some Beast Wars guys here, mixed in with G1 characters, Movie bots and who knows what else...

However, there are few if any lines that will ever match the marketing potential life-span of S.W.
And I would assume it's happened a TON in other toy lines,
where the logic of spreading out popular characters
(in the minds of fans; to others they may seem obscure)
totally makes sense,
then "x-situation" happens, and suddenly the series ends however-many-waves early...
You, me, and everyone on the forums know characters like the Constructicons--
the names, their modes, even bits about their personalities, etc.
But the average toy consumer (especially the kids), may not.
So I would think characters like those are already a "risky" release when you put it into terms of the mass market.
But my main point and worry is releasing the Beast Wars characters now,
where these don't really look like the G1ers, and nothing like the characters from the movie...
Is it possible then, that if the sales of these flop,
the line would end,
OR
at least keep Hasbro from releasing characters that are considered more "fan favorites" in future waves?
Because I know they could throw out more Primes & Megatrons in some sort of new pose, "Battle Damage" etc.,
but at what point will the company say,
"We're not even gonna risk throwing out another Prime, especially if it's packaged with this character (like a Constructicon) that the average buyer doesn't know/really remember (even though it's potentially a fan fave, and you and I would buy it in a heartbeat).
Realistically I know what they're doing makes sense...
Otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.
But it's still frustrating to think that they are skipping over G1 characters,
and potentially risking never getting them out.
Lemme ask you (and anyone else) this:
How many waves do you realistically see being released?
