That figure was finally starting to grow on me, I like the blue spray and the gold highlights, but as I read the review... the user mentions that...

*gasp*

HIS HEAD CAN'T MOVE!

... and that's the deal breaker.

pass!

you'd expect a lot more from an 07 mold toy, but no head movemebnt? still means its a worthless waste of plastic

I know it's the final product but it looks like a crappy prototype. What is the deal with the paint apps on these figures? They look like cheap bootlegs or something!

The Robot mode looks pretty decent.

The alt mode is essentially lame and the colors, while not bad, should have been more robust.

the paint is really lacking on all the Movie figures, they all seem just really washed out and bland.

Come to think of it the only one that looks like it has a decent paint job is Prime.

I mostly like the look of this guy, even in jet mode, but it's a damn shame the head can't move. I was expecting rotation at least. It's also a shame the panel that covers the face doesn't have the same blue wash as the head- it really stands out without it. Hmm.

The chain hand is pretty cool, though.

Piece of crap.

A piece of plastic barely covering the head, which is clearly visable? Please. Just because they slapped the name Megatron on it doesnt change the fact that its a steaming pile poo.

booo!

I quite like him, but the fact that the head doesn't move really puts me off. The fact that one can blatantly see his head - and know that it is his head - in alt.mode is even worse. Otherwise, though, he's quite cute.

I feel the same way.

I really, really want to like this figure, but the visible head in alt mode and the lack of head articulation (come on, heads on balljoints should be the law) is making it really difficult.

The lack of articulation comes as a surprise, considering how articulated other TF's have been and also considering this is a Leader class.

I knew the visible head in alt.mode was coming because the Movie Prequel comics (especially issue #2) gave it away. It's still a shame they couldn't have disguised it better by having it sink lower or something.

Very nice, I've been trying to come up with a name for this guy though as he is cool but not a Megatron.

I haven't had any luck so I'm just gonna have to wait to get him and figure it out then.

(yes, I plan on renaming most of the movie figs with G1 names)

Well, Barring the review shots which are absolutely horrible, and not to mention the lighting, i give it a 6/10 as well, and I knock off 2 points for coloring, and 2 points for articulation.. No haed movement, for shame hasbro for shame.. in this day and age, to have a leader class with no head movement, or a compartment to house the head in alien cybertronian fighter mode is absolutely pittiful.. I like the design, for what it is, and not for what he is supposed to be in G-1 so i'm ok that he's a cybertronian form, he's newly awoken and hasn't chosen an earth mode yet..

so it works from that angle, still nice figure, just they need to add Silver coloring and the grey plastic should go. Now if Takara Tomy was to Robovision-ise him and Leader Prime with fair amounts of Diecast and fix the head situation, then those would be a better pic.. as it is i doubt many variations will be introduced into the line.. for now, this is the best Megatron we can get so far.. my hopes are that they decide to do a Movie Masterpiece Series and do a proportionate SS, a Better Megatron, Optimus-Chrome w/removable face sheild for lip enthusiasts...and a Bumblebee 70s and 08 version that resembles the movie to a T..with a correct chest, and movable helmet sheild...until then these sorry piewces of plastic money sucking merchandise will have to do ...I'm happy but disappointed at the same time..

Am I the only one who likes the movie megs vehicle mode? It looks nicely sleek and powerful, as well as being completely unfamiliar, like an alien warship should. Granted, I think the icy voyager version does it better, but I'm still looking forward to this.

EDIT: Possibly, I'm being generaous because I can't see squat in those pictures, and I feel like everyone else is beeing rather harsh. I would like some head articulation... I'm not going to let that be a deal-breaker though, and I'm awaiting more pics, especially of the "fusion cannon"... Or, as the description makes me think of it, the "Mega-doken"
Re: Transformers Movie Leader Class Megatron Review With Pics (126765)

I agree with you Skywarp-2! I can accept that Megatron hasn't "chosen" an earth form yet, so he's stuck in his Cybertron mode (Although why he's a jet and not a fusion canon - like G1 Galvatron - or something, really escapes me... Aren't there already enough jets/seekers to choose from without inventing more???!!!)

But what I can't accept is his HEAD... Firstly being semi-exposed in alt mode, and then not being able to move in robot mode. That's really slack!

Only a cybertron galvatron-esque repaint would make me consider this. It really does look unfinished at the moment. I predict it will be a shelfwarmer like cybertron megs.

I think that once you see Ryan's Gallery of Leader Class Megatron, you'll understand what "Horrible" really means in this instance, until then, look up and learn how to spell dictionary..

I will definately get leader Megaton, but I'm still hoping ot see some kind of Masterpiece from Takara, especially buimblebee, he really needs it.. the chest is all wrong, the legs look like crapola on a stick, and the helmet doesn't have battle mode..

Megatron would need to be cast in metallic silver coloring almost all over, and chrome all over prime...and finally Starscream would be revised to have better proportions, similar to the movie itself and not a monkey version, not that the movie version wasn't too monkeyish to begin with..

Sorry, I hate to be a butt in, but Ryan makes crap look good all the time.

Take the BoneCrusher gallery, that thing looks like a Evil Chunky Chocolate Chunk, but still he pulled it off.

I agree with most of you, this bot isn't perfect!

Ryan's galleries are most of the time overkill and too late in the game. Honestly, he should stick to smaller galleries, especially when his is #2543 for a given toy.

Ok kids. But while I'm gone :

-try to not steal news from other websites
-if you insist on doing so, at least give proper credits
-try to verify sources for your so-called exclusive news, most of the time they're inaccurate or just plain wrong.

Thank you.
