Thanks to BB7 Toys at Facebook here are some new images of the officially licensed Transformers 3D Metal Puzzles by Shangai Art Model.

These officially licensed models are made from ultra thin laser-cut sheet metal pieces assembling into a larger metal object 11-18cm long. You know, basically knives.

Using a simple tab-into-slot assembly process these models assemble with no glue, but do require a wealth of patience.

From this staffer's personal experience all you need is a little determination, an electron microscope, a pair of Doctor Octopus assistance arms, a few adhesive medical strips (for yourself) and you too can find the joy of juggling small knives until they somehow assemble into awesome looking metal masterpieces.

There is no current information on their suggested retailer price or their release date, but the release wave will feature the following live-action characters in their vehicle forms:

Ironhide as a GMC Topkick 4500 truck from Transformers 2007.
Sentinel Prime as a Rosenhauer Panther Firetruck from Dark Of The Moon.
Bumblebee in his Chevrolet Camaro Concept from 2017's The Last Knight.
Hound as a Mercedes Unimog tactical vehicle also from The Last Knight.
Hot Rod in his Lamborghini Centenario body from The Last Knight.
And Optimus Prime as a Peterbilt 379 Truck from Transformers 2007.

Check out the images below and share your own tales of woe (or joy) when assembling these mini metal models.

I really wish these ones weren't so pricey. I wanted but could not justify Star Saber, and this is so ridiculously cool, especially since it is a G1, Movie, and Animated Prime fused into one. I really would like him.

These are super cool. Too bad that they don't really sell these in Europe. Though I have preordered all the model kits.

Some toys may have a larger codpieces, but at least they are not trying to poke your eyes off with it like this one. But its not really that terrible.

Haven't got mine yet for some reason. Bumblebee should have been out already, but I'm not in a hurry. I have other scale models and miniatures to finish.

The nice thing about those is, that you can build them straight from the box or paint them by yourself and maybe add some extra detail etc.

Dude DMax the pics you posted is the reason I’m dying to pick some of these up. I don’t know why but it’s when a fan gets one and poses them just as well as the fancy shots, I’m sold. It’s probably those manuals you use as a background I think it just makes them pop

Greetings Seibertronians! Today we have new galleries to share with you, created by site owner, Seibertron, and feature two of Flame Toys recent releases, Furai Bumblebee and Thundercracker.

Flame Toys hold an official licence from Hasbro/Takara Tomy to be able to produce these highly detailed plastic model kits. They are highly posable but not transformable, and often feature designs straight from the comics.

First up, is Furai Bumblebee, armed with a pistol, his trusty hammer and a helicopter back-pack, enabling him to take the fight to the skies.

I don't think so, the other guys are tall, lanky guys, and he is meant to be short and stocky

That contrast gives him a great visual role of wielding that hammer I think, it’s almost like the dwarf on the quest: oh this guy? The little guy? Yeah he’s short and tough and typically brandishing a heavy melee weapon - it works for me. These pieces I can just zone out on sometimes it’s like action figure art.

The reason why the model kit bumble looks so different is, that he is actually kind of different line. Some of those kits represent highly stylized versions of the bot in question. Others are more like official IDW versions of the character. Like there are 2 different Prime kits available.

Aha!
I wholeheartedly understand that such a thing would "trigger" any semi-pro model builders.

If I ever build a model, I'll be sure to use some sand paper and/or a file to get rid of those admittedly unsightly sprue nubs.
Then I'd waste the whole thing with my horrible painting skills. #-o

Even slicing them off with a hobby knife and running your nail over them to remove the stress mark is sufficient to me, but a sanding and polishing job is definitely the pro way to do it!

I think the difference being spoken about was between Bumblebee and Attack Mode Prime, as they are part of the same "subline" of the stylized versions.

I like the 2-part line too. Giving us IDW Prime, Megatron, and Drift is really awesome. And then we also get these highly stylized ones like Prime, Bee, the Seekers, Devastator, Hound, and Windblade soon.

And this is just me, but more Transformers need handheld melee weapons, especially Hammers and Axes

I completely agree with the last comment, it's one of the reasons I love the deluxe animated battle begins Optimus Prime, I prefer the axe on him then his bigger voyager mold

It brings you comfort, like an old friend who is in fact an enemy who's out to destroy you, just like he's always been.

Now per the website the item will be available at the Bluefin booth #301 so get a map, make a plan, then make several alternate routes, then a few more, then just one more, then get over there as soon as you can to pick up the Shadow Daddio before he's gone.

Available at Storm Collectibles/Flame Toys (Bluefin) booth 301!

Now Robotkingdom currently has the item up for order and is listed as available for $39.90. They also provide a bevy of images of this ebony eliminator of all that is, well, take your pick I mean regardless of which version we all know when Nemesis comes 'round, bots get knocked down.

Wait they're doing a stylized Windblade? Might have to drop for that. Also I agree with you 100%. I'd love to see Megatron get a mace or flail more often especially, and of all the things movie Bumblebee could contribute to Bumblebee overall, the war hammer feels like a good fit.

Yeah they teased some design artwork of her a few months ago. No prototype reveal yet, but I imagine it will be soon.

Devastator has had colored images, and we were told to expect pre-orders here soon. and Hound has a prototype, so i imagine we might see him in the coming months as well. Skywarp has also been confirmed to be coming.

Thank you for your suggestions. Had I actually put the kits together myself, I probably would have done that. However, the kits were assembled sets that Bluefin Distribution sent to me for review purposes (which I'm assuming Flame Toys assembled themselves and then sent the sets to Bluefin Distribution. If they didn't send me assembled samples, I probably would never have done the galleries because of how long it takes to build sets like this ... heck, I never even got around to doing galleries of the recent Kabaya Transformers because of how long it took to build Deszaras, and those are pretty simple compared to the Flame Toys kits).

The only "customizations" I did to these figures was super glue parts on so that they would quit falling off (such as the horns on Bumblebee, Bumblebee's yellow chest, the vents on the side of Thundercracker's head, and the back pieces to which the wings attach on Thundercracker. I will try to keep my eyes out for small flaws like that on the assembled sets they send me in the future.

One would assume that a company that send assembled copies for review purpose would have taken some extra care in building the things.

On the other hand though, most buyers will be complete casuals and would never think about painting or cleaning the kits of nubs. So in a way, the pictures were "honest". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One would assume that a company that send assembled copies for review purpose would have taken some extra care in building the things.

On the other hand though, most buyers will be complete casuals and would never think about painting or cleaning the kits of nubs. So in a way, the pictures were "honest". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Guess I'm a complete casual then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think I prefer them to look great without paint, because then I am not disappointed in the way they look after all the time I spent building it. Also, shouldn't a person start painting these things once they get one of the bigger, more expensive kits like Tarn or Drift? Because I think those need the paint more than these simple figures.

An amateur would give at least a clear finish for that extra shine, with paint highlights. The pro would go the extra mile by adding dirt, battle damage, and special effects.

If I find one of these kits on sale, I may try it out. But I'm sure the thing may end up completely ruined. T__T

Flame toys is keeping things sizzling hot this summer with their upcoming release of Transformers Shattered Glass Attack Mode Optimus Prime! Although not an entirely new mold this repaint of Furai Model Optimus Prime Attack Mode absolutely captures the image of the unhinged warlord mirror universe version of Optimus Prime. You know, the dark version of Optimus that's not Nemesis Prime for once.

Originally debuting as part of an April Fool's joke to Transformer fans that saw many a bot's color scheme, faction, and archetype flipped for fun, the character has developed and grown into the one formerly known as Optronix who amassed his sadistic hordes of Autobots to destroy the noble Decepticons.

Translated from the Japanese Tweet:

"Unlike the regular version, the mask is painted on each runner. The state of luxury will be completed as shown in the photo, but you can further improve the detail by sticking the attached sticker. The crack in the chest window was reproduced by printing on the print."

Enjoy the images and as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!

Is it just me, or that Optimus Prime is actually a FEMBOT?

Those delicious child-bearing hips... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That mold looks really good in the shattered colors. And that artwork, oh it's gorgeous. I would make a clean version of that my wallpaper

Continuing on with our San Diego ComicCon coverage, we have the latest Flame Toys Furai Model Kits and Kuro Kara Kuri Figures on display!

The Kuro Kara Kuri kits include the currently for sale Shattered Glass Drift, the soon to be released Star Saber and the recently revealed Optimus Prime. Drift is a red repaint of his original Kuro Kara Kuri Figure, representing his Shattered Glass IDW body, a look inspired somewhat by Deadpool. Star Saber is directly based on his IDW self, and will combine with Victory Leo, who will be released later on in the line. Optimus is a stylization based on his IDW self but with some Japanese flare and energy pulses.

The Furai model kits include both currently released figures as well as upcoming figures. Among the already released figures are Starscream, Thundercracker, Attack Mode Optimus Prime, Nemesis Prime (attack and IDW versions), and Bumblebee. Among the soon to be released figures are their version of Devastator, Drift, G1 Optimus Prime, Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, and IDW Autobot Megatron. The kits have proven to be a popular trend with the fandom, and we are hoping to see some more kits this weekend, including their Hound and Windblade, both of whom have been teased prior.

The more I look at these guys, the more I think of them are "reverse traps". Most of these bots are actual FEMBOTS trying to pas themselves as boys with their very feminine curves.

Like in Final Fantasy 9.
