Sabrblade wrote:There is a very good reason why Citizen Stack is so wildly out of scale with MP-10.
It is because KFC used the following scale chart image for size reference when they made the figure:
HOWEVER, there's one little problem with this particular scale chart: It doesn't exist. Unlike the official one that Takara's been using for sizing the official MPs, the scale chart seen in the above image that KFC used for Citizen Stack is fanmade.
Actually KFC made Stacks that out of scale because they let the fans vote on if they want it to scale with MP-10 in bot mode or ALT mode. and the fans voted Alt mode...

I'm actually digging the color and lives down the street from a true UM coloring scheme. But I'll gladly add you Ultra Magnus to my personal supply. If they did Marlboor, I can see this on up for a recolor.

I like it. It's part of his cartoon model.

Could care less about scale or buying stand alone toys.
Think MP-22 and KFC Citizen are a lot closer in height than some speculate. Guess we'll now soon enough when fans buy the toy, take pics and do video reviews.

You guys can have this one. I don't think the blue looks as nice as the G1 toy, not even close.
I never got into the later Transformers bots anyway, so no ties to Magnus like I do for Prime.

Delta Magnus wrote:Well Transformers and scale have never exactly got along well- and considering most of the Season 3 episodes were animated by the notoriously shoddy AKOM (leading to some truly awful size changing) and the general disregard for the scale chart the animators had...yeah, I don't care. He looks good next to him anyway, and Ultra Magnus' size seems to be one of those things nobody can agree on (let's not forget that time he was able to pick up the constructicons in his hands like they were toys- which is hilarious considering they combine into a robot that at one point held Prime in his fist in a similar manner!).
He looks a good size to me anyway.
Thanks for those memories. Season 3 was so awful that even as a kid I was always thinking wth. Magnus's size is fine Grimlock on the other hand is a whole other story!

I don't care even thought your right ! LOL
Most MP's are after designed after the Cartoon colors. However, they go back and forth from G1 Toy colors and Cartoons. Look at Takara's MP10 and Hasbro's MP Prime. Starscream, Soundwave's eyes, and this goes threw out the whole Transformers toy line. Which to make them like, G1 Toy colors, or like cartoon. Just saying.

If you're trying to use Hasbro's MP releases as examples of MPs using toy colors then there's your problem. This isn't a Hasbro release. This is Takara, who goes for cartoon colors every time since MP-9.G1COLLECTOR wrote:Because it's based on the cartoon's blue.Sabrblade wrote:G1COLLECTOR wrote:BIG FAT PASS !!!

I'm sure if Hasbro takes a whack at this, we'll get a lighter toy-esque blue.

Some Transform steps for UM.
Btw guys, which came first? Titanium UM with the no core robot fig or the IDW UM spotlight? Just want to know for trivial pursuit.

Probably SL: UM since, while both it and the Titanium came out in 2007, the comic came out in January of that year.fenrir72 wrote:Btw guys, which came first? Titanium UM with the no core robot fig or the IDW UM spotlight? Just want to know for trivial pursuit.

Is it okay to infer that with the exception of DonFig whose TF art were techincally transform capable, the SL UM version must have been THEN based on the upcoming Titanium UM?
I raise the question based on the almost similar TF sequence MP UM has to Titanium UM.

But aren't toys engineered/designed like at least a year in advance of them even going into production, much less actually being available on store shelves? At least that's what I've heard from interviews and such, although of course it may be different in this case since (I don't think) Has/Tak actually designed this one (it was the Micromachines guys or something, right?). If so, then that would put the toy at least a year before the comics, and while I'm certain some level of advance planning goes into the comics, I sincerely doubt those guys are planning this stuff a year ahead unless it's some kind of major arc for the entire series or something.

Yeah! I also like how Tomy implemented that wheel swapping trick. At least UM won't be "roller skating" in robot mode. Can't wait until the end of December.

The wheels seem to be decorative.............won't roll.

I was answering the question in regards to "Which was released first?" rather than "Which was conceived first?" since the former is easier to deduce than the latter.xyl360 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Probably SL: UM since, while both it and the Titanium came out in 2007, the comic came out in January of that year.fenrir72 wrote:Btw guys, which came first? And yes, Galoob made the Titaniums instead of Hasbro.

OK then.
Posted by Sabrblade on December 17th, 2014 @ 1:00pm CST
It's the little things like this that make this so special. That they went this extra mile of swapping out the functional wheels for the vehicle mode with the cartoon-accurate wheels for the robot mode in order to both keep the toy from slipping around on roller skates and adhere to the cartoon design to the nth degree is really impressive.Delta Magnus wrote:So, his wheels hide in his feet to be replaced by...slightly different wheels?
OK then.
