Transformers Legacy Minerva found at Walgreens

I hate Walgreens. Every single Walgreen in my area is out of the way of anywhere I go to and then when I go to one, they have nothing.

Sorry to be skeptical, but without a name of the item on the receipt (only a random number), how do we know that it just wasn't just *any* Gen Deluxe purchased at Walgreens? The item has been removed from their website, so it cant exactly be cross-referenced.

A picture of the item (or multiples if there were) on the store shelf would have been more convincing.

Maybe tomorrow I'll compare Legacy Megs to my POTP Optimal Optimus. Now if I can just track down a Transmetal 1 Megatron again I'll have the complete set of Beast Wars leaders.

Does anyone think Megatron had any issues going from being a lefty to a righty when his hands switched sides?

And he'd already had two free hands in his original body before he scanned he T-Rex one, so maybe he was always ambidextrous.

They're robots, right? He probably just went "COMPUTER! Make me right handed, my pet has changed hands" or something.

Went to 3 Walgreens that form a triangle around my home:

Store 1: Nothing
Store 2: Had a whole bunch of Kingdom Red Alert (probably at least 8 ), and 1 each of Scorponok, Wheeljack, and Wingfinger
Store 3: Nothing

Well at least now I can say I've actually seen Red Alert at retail . I'll probably check out a couple more stores that are a bit further tomorrow afternoon, but seems likely I'll find Minerva in store this time next year.

Also, all those deluxes were at the 25% off sale price of $18.74 (or whatever it is). To put things in perspective, Back in 2016, I went into a Walgreens for the first time looking for Transformers after the TR Brainstorm sightings started. At the time I passed because I thought $18 was way too much for a deluxe. Man times have changed.

Thank you for giving me some info on Animated Ratchet. I was beginning to wonder if I would get an answer. I remember seeing that Junkion and first thing I thought of was Lockdown.

Fellow Seibertronian Gotbot made a video and in that video he shares new listings he found. Hasbro whiffed their opportunity to give the Ark the head of Auntie, which makes more sense than the Last Autobot if you've read the earliest UK comics, so maybe the sentient Nemesis will be--

It wouldnt be for Clout points, regardless, as Nemesis is a female name. And ships tend to be gendered female in English (more a cultural thing than a grammar thing).

It's the guardian robot with nothing more, 299.99 is just how much standard titans cost in Canada now (just like how deluxes were 29.99 when they were 19.99 in the US)

I was so busy reading the codes I didn't read william-james' explanation above that. Silly me.

More to the point, which Nemesis will the Titan be based on?

A Titan Nemesis would be interesting to see. Basing it on the ship in the tv show would be a challenge. That ship was a lot more spindly than the ark, with lots of tapered extensions and whatnot.

I think we have an idea what it's going to look like, based on the Nemesis showing up on Legacy Metroplex's box. I know it doesn't have to be that design, but it's a general idea.

A quick google later and it seems like the Beast Wars/Dreamwave Nemesis is the winner, potentially?



It will be interesting to see how/where the cross wings are integrated into the bot design.

I think the design between all versions of the Nemesis (except for the Aligned Continuity/Trypticon) are basically the same. If the toy comes out in 2023, and it looks basically like it does on any of the the box art for the last couple of years, whether people want to call it the original, or from BW, or from the comics, its all basically the same.

What I thought was interesting though was, in the few times the Nemesis & Ark have been seen together, they are *roughly* the same size, or at least in the ballpark, with the Nemesis probably being longer in some dimensions, but probably overall not more than 10-20% larger than The Ark.

For WFC specifically however, the Nemesis is HUUUUUGE!!!! (I only know this from purchasing the artbook from the series, since the ships never were on screen in the same frame with any sense of scale IIRC)

Obviously, the Titan for 2023, will probably be in scale with the others. However if it was made to have a slightly taller Robot Mode than The Ark, that would not be inaccurate.

If Hasbro makes the ship female, she's definitely got a lot of junk in the trunk.

Also, it appears there are at least 2 more selects coming besides the Omega Sentinel. They appear to be deluxes if my CAD prices are correct. All the Diaclone updates have been nice, but it would be nice to see something different as well. I dont see a Leader Selects on that List. So Cryotek from TM2 Megatron still isn't confirmed yet, unless its later revealed as a retailer exclusive.

There is a "bear" crossover TF and those collab prices could simply be the streetfighter sets which have yet to be released in Canada.

While I can understand it being SS-86 Magnus, part of me wonders if Hasbro isn't doing an actual SS-86 Prime in Commander Class.

By all accounts Earthrise Prime is pretty much SS-86 Prime, but one can argue the same thing about Kingdom Magnus.

The Commander Class is puzzling, as they have proven they can make a Magnus in Leader Class, and it still works fine. Not sure I can find any valid reason for it being Commander Class. However as has been pointed out, there's no other character in the 1986 movie that would technically fit the price class.

If this were a new G1 Prime mold that is both larger and more detailed, that could be used as a Magnus inner robot, it might make a bit more sense. Maybe Magnus is the pretool to a brand new Prime.

Another Ultra Magnus is not exciting. I really like the character and his design but wow, it's too much lately.

Unless it's a magnus with a g1 accurate trailer

Commander class will just be animated prowl with his side car or maybe they are going more in scale for the G1 dinobots

If it were Titan class I may have joked it was a transforming autobot city playset

Also I wouldn't expect a white prime from ss86 ultra magnus, as pointed out, there wasn't one in the toon

Or some slight variation thereof, and that is likely what the toy will look like in Ship Mode, according to Box Art from the past few Generations toy lines.

That makes one Magnus release ever years for the last several, so yeah that's overkill. Granted they have all been from different sources but still, and this one is SS86 which means it's just Kingdom in essence. A new trailer isn't enough to justify another $50+ to buy another version.

I wouldn't mind a better more improved Astrotrain, I just don't know that they can ever truly deliver it being that he's a triplechanger. I mean look at Blitzwing, and I like it for the most part.

I think I'm entering a phase where I'll likely dip out of this line as I'm not interested in ROTB and so far nothing seems to be coming that interests me. Between the Cosmos issue and Hound not turning out like I wanted those two long sought after updates are a wash.

Those prices did have me for a minute before seeing it was CAD, I'm like $35 for DLX I'm out! lol

I have been thinking and since it's SS86, Magnus could be a White Prime version of the ER OP mold as the base with some changes, sporting a Matrix Chamber and a trailer closed to the cartoon and original toy with more parts to cover the cab and opening and closing hands so eh can hold the Matrix. Another thing they could do is have it where he can disassemble as a nod to being blown apart in the movie.

But that's still not enough to get me. I got two already.

At this point, SS86 Springer is a given. They'll just tidy up the Siege toy, probably give him a better sword as well. Would be nice if they included a tool-in wrist laser cannon.

I'm looking forward to Armada Optimus, and I may also get the Nemesis as well to go alongside my Ark. I'm guessing the "BB SS Deluxe" listings are the Hound and Hatchet we saw a while ago, if indeed they're still coming out, or perhaps Hound is part of the "BB SS TF-86 2 Pack", maybe with a Sunstreaker repaint? While it's nice that Studio Series is getting the Commander Class, I'm happy with my Kingdom Ultra Magnus and have no desire for another one.

Probably not considering they’re actually based on Galvatron’s ship the Revenge, not the Nemesis.

Doubtful for the animation accurate line to go the white Prime route

The chance of me not getting Commander Class Ultra Magnus is zero. Even if I think they're going back to the well a bit too much.

For those of you wondering "Why has my local Target not recieved any Wave 2 Deluxe" ? well...

They could have been inept like the employees at my local store, and only had 1 peg dedicated to Legacy deluxe (which had only 4 Elita-1 for nearly a month), and instead of moving pegs to get more product out, which is normal, they just sat on product until the few they had out moved or...

UNTIL... Probably ordered from higher up...Now that there are sales, they are forced to put out everything they've been sitting on. See the pic my daughter just took below. If you are still waiting for wave 2 to arrive in your area, it might be worth checking now.
