*ahem*
Scamper looks great and that is an amazing feature (especially after the failure to do the same with SIEGE Brunt). However, this feature makes the need for another reissue of T30 Metroplex all the more urgent because with him costing what he does on eBay right now... most who don't already have him won't be able to take advantage of it - unless there's a reissue.

Yeah, reissuing Metroplex would be a good selling point for Scamper (not to mention Metroplex) and it wouldn't even require any new engineering. Personally I believe the figure needs an update though. I would like to see him updated with G1 aesthetic instead of Aligned, and with CW ports and TR and WFC base connectors, but I specifically mentioned T30 because that already exists and is what the pics from this reveal advertise Scamper as being able to connect to.

Yeah that's why I said it would be easy for Hasbro to rerelease that one. No extra engineering needed. And it would make massive profits for them.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I would like to see him updated with G1 aesthetic instead of Aligned, and with CW ports and TR and WFC base connectors, but I specifically mentioned T30 because that already exists and is what the pics from this reveal advertise Scamper as being able to connect to.

Yeah, it does on the left, middle and right are regular Omega Supreme. Also interesting that the file is dated as November, could be hearing something about that soon if it's happening.
I like the folder titled "TRA_ARMADASTA...OLD_V2" Which I assume means Armada Starscream mold version 2. I'm just surprised they internally refer to it that way.
Another folder is named "GENERATIONS - GATE D...ATE". Speculate away on that one.
OK, back to the actual news, does Slammer just sit there? There's only one useful peg hole where it's sitting and it doesn't really match up with anything on him.

Wow I only thought they were putting out Slammer right now, I hadn't heard about them releasing scamper on his own. That's pretty cool.

Put a new head on Siege G2Covert Clone Sideswipe from the Amazon set and you have a reasonable deluxe Scamper.

I only want a T30 Metroplex reissue IF they fix the hips. If they're not going to do that then forget it. I am a bit disappointed that they made the effort for Slammer to combine with Metroplex, but not Sixgun from Siege.
I got Jackpot yesterday, the head is garbage, to be honest, I would've liked to have gotten the Puffer Night Ranger Road Ranger set.

Not $50 cool though.
And either i’m doing something wrong, or the clearance of the tires and the arm panels is non existent. The front tires scrape against the panels in truck mode, and Road Ranger’s chest seems to protrude a bjt too low past the tires and hits the ground.
Never picked up Huffer, so don’t know if he had the same issues.

I popped his head off, and since mine was not well-glued, I was able to pry apart the left and right halves with little trouble. (The gap in his chin is a great leverage point.) The sides of his head are held together by two pegs, the smaller of which is contributing to the misalignment. (His face is a very tiny piece of plastic slotted in between; gotta make sure you don't lose it when disassembled.) I snipped off the smaller peg and carefully trimmed less than a millimetre of plastic from the rear edge of the cup for his neck-ball to create the tiniest bit of wiggle-room for realigning the left and right sides. I was able to get the front of his helmet to line up a bit more evenly, and after carefully gluing everything back together, I also repainted the silver portions on his forehead. (Mine was a shade darker on one side than the other, making the unevenness even more obvious.) It's not a perfect fix. The asymmetry of the molds is still clear when viewing the back of his head, but the front doesn't look nearly as janky as when I first unpacked him.
I still don't get how Hasbro's QC could blow it this badly, but at least now I can look at Jackpot without feeling he was a wasted purchase.

He does bow a bit in the middle yes. May be what's causing the chest to scrape.

The Huffer mold does have enough clearance when everything is tabbed in correctly. You are likely missing something in the transformation. The arms have to be lined up just right and tab in multiple places to the rest of the truck.

I'm pissed off enough about it that I e-mailed Hasbro customer service. This is their reply (get ready):
Response By Email (Rochonda) (12/06/2021 11:40 AM)
Hi Dan,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your recent purchase of the Transformers War of Cybertron Jackpot figure. We understand the figure may be slightly different from the packaging images, this does happen from time to time as the packing artwork may vary. We assure you that your Jackpot figure will function fully as intended.
If you have additional concerns, please contact Hasbro Consumer Care.
I hope you have a fun day!
Kind regards,

First, I can't believe Hasbro had the balls to reply with that, and second, I'm torn on whether to bother replying to it.

Correct, and it really isn't even articulated. It looks like it is on a hinge, but it is actually fixed in place. I'm thinking they must have wanted to make the gut gun go where it should, but couldn't make it work. Possibly ended up with something non-workable on the crotch for robot mode.
The bigger question in my mind is why did the put a face on the crotch?

Actually, it will move on that pin joint, but it doesn’t really have the clearance to swing out fully due to how the rest of the figure was designed. Maybe it was intended to flip up to give greater range of movement to the robot mode legs, primarily to do a high kick, like they’ve done for other recent War for Cybertron figures, but for whatever reason, that functionality was dropped, but it remained in the design, at least partially.

It will technically move a tiny bit, yes, but I wouldn't recommend trying to move it. The "loin cloth" appears to be 2 pieces, the blue part is pinned through the actual crotch part and the white part I believe is just glued on the blue part. However, the way the blue part of the "loin cloth" fits with the white part of the crotch it is pinned through is clear that it is not intended to move. If it was intended to flip up, they would have needed a rounded edge on the back portion of the blue part so that it has clearance to rotate within the white part, it does not have that clearance meaning that joint was not intended to move, at least not based on the final design.

As far as I can tell, the arms are tabbed into his waist, and the tabs on the back of the cab. Still the front tires are floating above the ground.
But I think It's not scraping against the shoulder panel, I was wrong there, but against the hole it pegs into. Switched the tires, and the issue changed places. So I assume its the tire peg, that's a bit thicker on one tire than the other.
However, it still not clear to me why it's not touching the ground.

Same thing with Cheetor.
Either to improve movement or it's just for an easier assembly.

Okay, that is weird. If the problem switched sides, then I definitely think it is the tire peg that or maybe the tire diameter on that specific tire that is the issue. Fortunately you have potentially an easy fix. The front tires are the same as the back, so you can try swapping it to the back and see if the problem is lessened enough where things will roll without the clearance needed for the chest.
You look like you have everything transformed properly as compared to my Huffer when what I can tell. There is not much clearance for his chest to begin with.

Showing a toy for what it is? It is what you see, and nobody will display an $11 core figure from the back with the entire backpack unhinged and totally out of place. I don’t feel any need to defend hasbro, they’re just a company, but the frontline picture is weird and feels oddly subjective to someone who dislikes this figure and wants others to aswell lol.

Even if that were the case, seeing it like that shouldn't be a deal-breaker to anyone, unless hollow heads are a feature one absolutely dislikes on a figure. And if that's the case, the rest of the figure could look like a masterpiece and that person should still pass on it, because of the hollow head.It is what you see, and nobody will display an $11 core figure from the back with the entire backpack unhinged and totally out of place. Overquoting to ask what's the issue with the hollow head again?
That's a small figure with limited budget and parts count. Furthermore, the hollow part on the head is only visible if you look for it unlike hollow limbs. So I think some people make a mountain out of a molehill.
