Any Legends version, preferably the RtS mold.

I'd prefer the WST version for purposes of scale, but, unfortunately, he's the wrong style (G1) and doesn't pose worth a darn.

Why not the adorable Kreon Optimus Prime? Image

I wish they would put something other than KREO to show the scale of the hands. I dont collect those things and I dont own a Fort Max either. They should put classics figures next to it.

Hopefully we get to see more images soon. I really can't wait for his release.

His release date is somewhere after July, right?

They're about this big nowadays (it's the reason why Transformers are so small):

And children it would seem...

I think the new Generations Cyberversey style OP with Roller is designed to work with him, even though a small G1 OP can be clearly seen through his windshield. Oh well :D

Unless you've seen the toy at Toy Fair, there hasn't been any clear images of the Optimus in his torso (at least to my knowledge) on the web. From the very little I saw, it didn't look straight-up Generation One to me. I saw either the upcoming Legends-scaled toy or the Classics Voyager from 2006/07.

1) It's the Generations version of the G1 Metroplex. Fortunately it's not the FOC version since that one's altmode was an insult. It was actually worse than Galaxy Force's one was. He just sat down and shrugged!

2) The Deluxe Optimus is based on his IDW comic design.

3) Some teaser. Now we still don't know whether Metro's forehead is higher up than Max's, which is how I measure it.

The one with Roller? He's Legends Class, like the Data Discs. The Deluxe one is Orion Pax.

Yeah I did this once.. Need to find the pix but I transformed Max and had all of my SCF PVC figs (Japanese versions of HOC) around him and it looked cool and proper scale.

A Metroplex toy correctly scaled to the Deluxe class toys would have to be at least twenty feet tall. :KREMZEEK:

Well, I never had the original Fort Max, nor do I care much for the character beyond IDW's comics.

And in any event, 2" will probably be more significant then we might assume. Only time will tell.

Also, I measured my tallest TF shelf, and 'Plex wouldn't fit on it. It's just over 6" too short!

I'm with ya, Wewyllenium. My consolation is that he won't be in alt mode on my shelf. He's just too damn BIG!!! He might even have to find a spot on my floor.

Same here Maximo. This will remain as a robot in my shelf and that's because I could not see how its alt modes can fie :D

Also I sure hope the plastic they'll use would not be like the plastic used on GIJoe reissued toys such as that on Wolf Hound. Please don't be cheap Hasbro/Takara Tommy.

Wasnt the WHOLE FAWKING BOT revealed at Toyfare a few montrhs back? The pictures are all over Google, even the base mode.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to buy him for my Cyberverse display. I do hope this will be for a real a nd true WIDE release. Not some TrU exclusive bullshit.

Not so, they're apples and oranges. They're both big and that's about it. They're designed for different audiences.
Re: Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex Teaser Images (1480603)
Posted by Sabrblade on April 20th, 2013 @ 8:16pm CDT
IMHO, I always found Fort Max to be a more appealing guy than Metroplex. Even before I started reading TF comics, Fort Max just seemed to have so much more going for him. Here's a rundown of all the things I saw each had going for them:

Metroplex
  • Large guy
  • Citybot
  • Battle Station mode
  • Slammer, Scamper, and Six-Gun

Fortress Maximus:
  • Large guy
  • Citybot
  • Battle Station mode/Battleship Maximus (Japan only)
  • Double Headmaster
  • Master Sword (Japan only)
  • Autobot Headmasters Commander
  • Autobot Supreme Commander (Japan only)
  • Pacifistic idealist
  • Binary-bonded to well known human ally Spike Witwicky (certain versions)
  • Gasket and Grommet --> Cog

Now, granted, I'm still very far behind in reading the IDW G1 comics, so Metroplex may come to wow me in that continuity. But as of now, the most this new Titan class Metroplex toy has over Fort Max IMO is both his height (two inches taller than Max) and his modern-day articulation.

Metroplex is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but Fort Maximus nails it when it comes to badassery, articulate or not.
