Additionally we may have already got our first glimpse of one of his alt modes. If you looked over our images of Metroplex's packaging you may have noticed a few extra Autobots, one of which is a orange VTOL type aircraft. Check out the bottom right corner of the image below. There's also a blue character standing on Metroplex's right shoulder and a green character on his left arm that appear to based on the new Generations Trailcutter mold. Skids and Hoist perhaps?

Fort Max is 22 inches tall. The new Metroplex is 24 inches tall, so he is the biggest transformer ever.
Good to know we may be getting more classic G1 triple-changers. Astrotrain perhaps?

Nitpickings . He's a bit taller than Fortress Maximus, toy-wise, but doesn't have his bulk.
Anyway, Sandstorm has to have his own mold, or significantly retooled (meaning more than just the head) to be worth it.

Still I can't wait for a proper Sandstorm.
Finally we'll have all 6 of the Triplechangers!

Broadside?

(just kidding)
Sandstorm looks significantly different from Springer. Which makes sense since despite people's claims, I didn't think Springer's robot mode or helicopter mode looked anything like Sandstorm. It might be a retool or alternate transformation, but regardless it looks good.
Now, Hasbro, hows about that car alt mode, pink and white Arcee?

I don't think Metroplex comes with extra giant braided beard or war axe accessories for Unicron. He might have something you could use as a flagon of ale. maybe?

I knew about Assaulter, I just thought there was an official Hasbro Broadside out there somewhere based on what you said.

They did that already for the Animated line. I don't think it was super common, though.

They did a Blitzwing in Animated too, and we're getting him.

she was dark red and brown! I suppose I should have been ULTRA SPECIFIC in my request, but I wasn't aware this was a monkey's paw wish I was making, and assumed people would interpret that I was talking about a Generations/Classics styled version of the character.

I see what you're saying. The front section sticking out under what appears to be the cockpit and the arms that the "rotors" are on definitely give it a familiar look. Lets hope the bot mode is better than Armada Cyclonus though.

just to double check, but the Sandstorm entry doesn't match the TRU/GDO Scout class Sandstorm does it?

While I share your apparent frustration with the bipolar nature of some members on this site one minute knowing every specific detail of a thing and never hesitating to correct you, only to then feign the absolute inability to understand something if not presented with painstaking and excruciatingly specific details, I must say, your post has made me laugh heartily.
A monkey's paw wish? That's just golden. Thank you greatly, good sir.

ach, I'm probably guilty of the same thing myself. Frustration is too strong a word. It irks me occasionally. Glad I entertained though.

Yeah, but it's true. If you had been more specific, someone would have posted to mention that that Arcee is actually pink and white with three vertical red streaks on the left side. (I've no idea if it does, but you know what I'm getting at.) It's like we're in this constant state of trying to out miniscule detail each other.
On the other hand, if you reference Classics Kup, some days you'll get one hundred replys from people claiming they don't know of any Classics Kup becuase despite obviously being a Classics-styled figure, the card says Generations, so the average board member is totally lost due to such a gross inaccuracy. Just look at the whole Prime Voyager/Powerizer or whatever thing. People clearly know what you're talking about, but suddenly, everyone has forgotten 15 years of the Voyager size class because six months ago Hasbro tried to rename it, yet still prints Voyager on the packages.
Still made me laugh though, so I still thank you.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think the vtol copter thing is a partially transformed flight mode designed in mind of a fan requested remold. Not like they haven't done it before.
Also, I'm guessing the blue guy on the box are is either roller or scamper. We should also keep in mind that it says the scale is for legends, (While prime looks like the wave three prime with the roller minicon, Bumblebee looks like the deluxe) so it might be that the figures we are seeing on the box are either legends or scout figures.

I saw Scamper during Hasbro's presentation on Saturday. Scamper is a black figure that transforms into a black car.

They did a Blitzwing in Animated too, and we're getting him.
In the same page, when you look under "Transformers Fall of Cybertron", you get Arcee with a call number that is currently not tagged to anything. Maybe..

It's definitely leaning toward Sandstorm. Scamper was a 6-wheeled car, not a helicopter. It's not supposed to be a promotion: all the characters running around on Metroplex are part of his package art.

I hope they do Hoist too, but since I at least have the legends version of Trailcutter and Hoist, I'm not that desperate.
Arcee would be nice too but I have the Delicate Warrior which is a good enough Generations Arcee for me.

There was a HtfD Sandstorm as a repaint of Legends Beachcomber as well.

Oh so Hasbro actually showed Scamper. I thought they might be throwing a curve ball and change him from his original G1 alt mode to something different. Because all that they have coming up with at the Toyfair seems way to good to be true

But hey, if Hasbro wants to give us a triple changing Sandstorm, who am I to argue. Just so long as it's a fresh mold.

Does IDW Hoist design look different? Or did Hoist show up in IDW?
Or could it be someone else?
