Yeah, bbts hasn't even got a pre-order up for fracture, but hts has them in stock already... nothing about their distribution makes any sense anymore - the one thing that always seemed to stay the same was that hts got 'em last , same goes for the legends figures, maybe they wanted to push them for the holidays, or something? Doesn't matter it's an infinitely better deal than anything through bbts or the like

I see a ven diagram in my head of which kinds of fans order from which places, but I am too tired now. The point is as long as you are happy, no need to diss other retailers.

Most big retailers have discounts on TFs all the time anyways (and I just get a raincheck so that I get the upcoming figures for cheap) which usually makes BBTS the pricier place. BBTS was never about the price. They are there because some collectors dont want to worry about getting their figure. Some dont check this site every day anyways and if they check it a week from today then this news wont help them. BBTS is there so that you can avoid the distribution hassle, get help if there is anything wrong with your figure and for some ensure that the box has a particular grade.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to insult, I was just glad to get a good price.

Well, it's more the issue of them raising prices for figures like shockwave, because he is more sought after, they increase his price by $3, same goes for onslaught, $32 and he still sold out;
I don't know if this was to offset the fact that buzzsaw and pipes and (not)scattershot might shelfwarm, but, by that logic, then they could lower their (pipes, et al) by a similar amount to encourage people to buy them too (I would definitely consider tossing pipes in my p.o.l. if he were $7 (-$3 for shockwaves +$3 if this is the case)); or if this is a case of extorting money for a figure that people want, but, if this is the case, it's not cool, and I have every right to not only not buy it through them, but to also diss it. If both of these aren't the case, then I'm not sure what it is.
I think the bottom line is: tf distribution is total chaos, and plays by no ones rules

Dude its fine, I was writing in general, not targeting you specifically. No one did anything wrong here, I just wanted to remind people that the retailers compliment each other to ensure that we get our toys no matter what

Yeah... aren't they shipped as a case in the same box? Maybe they're pulling a rook and won't get him uploaded onto the site until much later

I think this is precisely why they up the price. Eesh, that 32$ is pretty darn steep. And I think you have a damn fine idea there. If something is raised, why not lower the other? It would be cool to see how the MSRP could be deviated from in both directions.

I'm more thinking what happened to Clampdown? That guy isn't there and yet Thunderhoof is

I mean, come on... $33 for onslaught, why not sell scattershot for $7 then, bet he would fly off their virtual shelves then - I'd buy it, and I hate the idea of him... I don't want to, or like dissing them, they have great customer service and fulfill an important role for us, but stuff like this => http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS24821&mode=retail bugs the sh!t outta me - hotspot is still $30 there

Well, this happens with every wave, some of the wave are uploaded, some aren't until later. If clampdown shows up, I'll get him, underbite, and thunderhoof (assuming there aren't two order pages up for him at that time )
And being completely fair about tf retailers, tfsource doesn't even stock or sell the rid figures, so there's that for limiting options

Nope, there used to be many moons ago, but it's long been dead.
Now the hasbro site just tells you in which stores you can (not) find their toys.

There is also a store wide 20% off and free shipping when you enter the code: CYBER.

Yeah, I tried that one too. The item discount works but the shipping fee won't go away.
Edit: you have to register with the website for the promotion to work properly. $8.11 shipped.

But at the same time, this was an expense I couldn't really afford...

Now if only they had Clampdown, too, then I'd be set.
(EDIT: what the heck happened to HTS? Had to create a new account since it wouldn't allow me to use the old one...)
Posted by LongHaulLaser on December 2nd, 2015 @ 9:03am CST
In another note, it appears though that HTS still hasn't fixed their problem with having to do a keyword transformers search to list all the transformers. If you just click on the transformers brand, you get 145 results, if you do a keyword search on 'transformers' you get 160 results including the latest deluxe wave of Sunstreaker, Prowl, Ironhide, and Mirage. I honestly think the previous version of the site worked better, but I guess it wasn't good enough for phone screens.

I remember them doing it to the Generations Deluxe Class Wave that had Skids in it the first time he was released. I'd ordered the wave anyway (minus Skids) and another figure I'd planned on repainting into another figure just so I'd qualify for free shipping or whatnot. Then after the promotion was over, Generations Deluxe Class Skids finally gets added to the list. Of course to order him would've cost me twice as much as what the figure was being sold for because of having to pay shipping. I didn't order Skids for that reason and it eventually sold out and was even removed from the list. Thankfully Skids was placed into another completely different wave and I was able to get it. But like I said, this leaving off a figure of a new wave from the list tends to happen semi-regularly with www.hasbrotoyshop.com.
Regardless, I placed my order for Legends Class Chop Shop, Buzzsaw, Shockwave, and for Voyager Class Battle Core Optimus Prime. I was going to order Voyager Class Motormaster as well to replace my current one in hopes of getting the new one with the upgraded hips. But didn't want to take a chance at getting one of the first releases, putting me back in the same predicament. My local Wal-Mart doesn't seem to be trying to get in any new stock of the Combiner Wars Voyager Class Figures.

Scalping, army building, use for customs, makes a cool gun... I know when viper came out, people on here were buying them 10 at a time, and I missed out, I don't like it much either

Yes, thanks for the tip, Seibertron! Shock was already sold-out in all specialised TF stores and 33% more expensive.
I like those little cartoon figures like Powerglide, they're fun figure to fiddle with.

I only bought an extra for a custom... Wouldn'tve been necessary if the Shapeways Targetmaster I ordered a while back for the same project didn't fall apart three days later.

I thought HTS shipped worldwide, no? You just dont get the free shipping or discount. But the discount would be negated by the fact that there are both e-bay and paypal fees that you would have to pay.

The shipping would kill you though. Shipping from US to UK comes out to the same as just buying it at 9-12 pounds. I live in canada and so far, the shipping has never ever made it worthwhile to do this type of thing. I am gonna wait to find him in stores. Its too bad Kapow toys doesnt sell these individually. By the way, speaking of UK, this is a pretty great deal for an amazing figure: http://www.kapowtoys.co.uk/transformers ... prime.html
surprised its in stock

I want to say someone else was having issues with not being signed in. I've placed mobile orders before and it was a bit of a pain though. I use chrome on both and I have my ad blockers disabled for HTS if that helps any.

Site worked perfectly fine for me, and I did none of that, I just checked out as a guest again (really should look into signing up for them as much as I buy from there - especially as my 'autofill' settings hiccuped and have me living in alabama, india, or some such nonsense)
