Gotta catch 'em all!

Now I wonder which retailer is willing to take a chance on these if any.
Hope everyone gets one who wanted them! 24 sets per person.

I feel a little bad for the folks that gave in to the (compoletely unfounded) panic earlier and bought the Cosmos and Swerve assortments from eBay at ridiculous mark-ups.

I will wait until HTS gets them. Not big on preorders myself.

I am one of those people unfortunately and bought 2 sets!

There, there!
Well, at least you have them in hand and can enjoy them right now. The rest of us will have to wait until "Late April" at the earliest.

My cosmos has a gimp arm I will tell everyone this. They are Amazing! Really cool figures and fun transformations. After playing with Swerve I am really looking forward to Gears!

[rant] Weren't you also the one insisting that these were absolutely, definitively canceled, stating it as fact and causing people to rush to buy these off eBay? That's the only issue I have with how you presented this whole thing. It was irreponsible to say that before Hasbro gave the definitive word on it, which they did, at ToyFair. I understand all the trouble you went to to find out about their availability, but it's better to be wrong than to rush to judgement, state rumors as fact and cause others to give in to hype and hysteria. [/rant]
Ahem. I preordered these as well, and hope they show up at retail before the preorders are filled. Either way, I get them, but if I can save on shipping, I'll take it.

Yup. He had hard evidence from rock-solid sources that these figures were cancelled.

One saving grace is if HTS posts them before they come in I will order from there instead... Or they may even pop up in stores before then, who knows?
Kinda wanted Cosmos by himself... More of a Gears than Swerve fan.

zatara1701 wrote:I put in my preorder like everyone else...That shipping is KILLER!! Drives up the cost by nearly a third!!! Sheesh... Pile of looted it with the supposed Arcee and Chromia.
That's what I'm doing: bundling them with Arcee, Chromia, and Rattrap.
If you can spread that shipping cost out over 6-7 figures, it's no more than the gas you'd burn driving from store to store, especially since it will probably take a lot of trips to find these.

When they show up at retail outlets other then discount stores or Toys R Us let us continue the conversation. Until then let us rejoice they are being sold somewhere.
Still none for sale on ebay currently and they have been showing up in Canadian retail already.

Well they're available through retailers now; that's the point. Why don't TRU and discount stores count as "retail" in your definition?

However, since I live in Canada I'll grab them at retail if they show up in my area before the preorder, and then cancel. No sense waiting longer than I have to! Plus it'll open availability for those who wanted it from BBTS.

Then again, I'd also get Generations Armada Starscream and the rest of his wave-mates too... and Metroplex... and MP11 Starscream... and some vintage figures...
...I have a lot on my bucket list, with very little money. As you can see, that's an issue.

Because they are specialty retail. They do not carry the same items as Target , Walmart and Kmart usually do. They are Retail and do carry certain cancelled or so thought cancelled items like the First Edition , GDO , Power Core Combiner and Reveal The Shield Lines as well as Skyquake from the Prime Line.

Well, in technicality, those lines weren't cancelled per se... and Power Core Combiners had a pretty good run as well (kinda wish I had gotten more of them besides the Bombshock set).

I really needed just Tailgate but while I was ordering, one thing led to another and now my wallet hates me again.
Posted by Sabrblade on February 28th, 2014 @ 8:27am CST
TRU does so count as mass retail. It's part of the "Big Four" that contains it, Walmart, Target, and Kmart (KB Toys used to be in this as well, making them the "Big Five"). Discount stores are part of the "Market Six" branch, but TRU is a main retailer.Primeultimus wrote:GuyIncognito wrote:Primeultimus wrote:

As for the things you mentioned that TRU carries that other retailers don't, Power Core Combiners and Reveal the Shield were both mass retail lines found in plenty of Targets, Walmarts, and Kmarts; Prime Skyquake was just a late arrival and only found at TRU becaue TRU still had Prime RID toys for sale at a time when other retailers had emptied their Prime RID stock and were already deep in Prime BH toys; and both the Prime First Edition and Generations GDO toys were exclusive to TRU, meaning they were never going to come to mass retail since no other store would take them. They weren't canceled if they came to the store they were meant to come to.
And TRU having exclusives is no different from Target or Walmart having exclusives of their own.

Oh well, I got Tailgate and Cosmos, since I don't need an Insecticon and I'm going with MakeToys for their Swerve option.
Goodbye iGear Cosmos.

i remember one of the pieces of evidence. the walmart shelf layout. i didnt fully understand... its not like those are set in stone OR that that will be the layout in even a months time. ive seen those layouts a bunch of times.
but anyways, i preordered all four. just as a precaution. and someone made a good point about these coming out near the release of TF4... if the shelves are suffocated with movie figures these could still be hard to find.
