Transformers Generations Deluxe 2014 Wave 2 Sighted at Retail

I might get that Starscream. Scoop looks good, too. As does Skywarp, but they will probably be a pass.

Sweet! Tax time is just around the corner. Hoping to at least snag Scream and the combiners.

I bought Scoop and the Mini-con team. I passed on SS because it just doesn't interest me and on Skywarp because I already have the SS and TC versions of that mold and don't like THAT much that I need a 3rd, even if it IS Skywarp. (Of course, I say that now, but will probably end up picking up both of them later.)

I'm passing on the Starscream as well, however I will be getting his repaint coming out. Scoop for sure and perhaps Skywarp.

Wait, I'm confused. How does the wave-breakdown in this incarnation of Generations? I thought Wave 2 was Thudercracker and Hoist. Were they just part of a Wave 1 revision?

With Hasbro, Wave numbers are reset after New Year's. Technically speaking this is Wave 4 total, but only Wave 2 for 2014.

The wave numbering reset for the 2014 product releases. Wave 1 Deluxe 2014 was Goldfire, Dreadwing, Skids, and Waspinator.

I only want the combiner and Skywarp.

I don't like the mold that much either, but I have to have all 3 seekers, and Skywarp is my favorite of the three.

Wanting Scoop & Screamer. Not interested in Skywarp, and those Minicons are ugly as hell.

Not to argue semantics, but shouldn't this be 2014 Wave 1? I found Skids, Dreadwing, Waspinator and Goldfire at TRU last year, in early December. I know others did, too.

True, but it's not uncommon for Waves to be released ahead of schedule. Hasbro (apparently) call it Series 2, and the stores stick with it.

I can't wait to get Starscream, but first I still need to find a waspinator.

Picked up the whole wave today at a Target in the Bronx (225th St).

I'm super impressed with Scoop & Starscream. Skywarp is what you would expect, but I like that deco much better than the recent Thundercracker and FOC Starscream. Jury's out on the Mini-Con team.

EDIT-1: I really, really hope they repaint Scoop, give him a new head and call him Scrapper.

EDIT-2: I just stood Armada SS next to Generations Skywarp & Thundercracker, and they look great together. I like this Seeker configuration a whole lot better than having all 3 be FOC Seekers.

It may be the first wave to hit retail in 2014, but the actual packaging literally says "SERIES 02". Any way you cut it, the naming/numbering is confusing.

The Tankor/Rattrap/Crosscut wave is Series 03.

I don't know what Series 04 is, but according to BBTS Series 05 is going to be Waspinator, Scoop, Aree and Chromia.

Once again, Series 04 is Jhiaxus (Armada Starscream retool), Nightbeat (Jazz Retool) and Windblade. Funnily enough, it seems to have switched dates with Series 05, I'm assuming because of Windblade needing more time.

I'm getting all 4 of these mofes on sight. Love the FOC seeker mold.

guess im never getting waspinator, probably wont get scoop either cause i havent seen any deluxe generations around here in at least 3 months maybe 4. Hey if i cant find the few TFs i want ill just go and get me some kick ass NECA predator & alien figures, the new waves just hit my local TRU & my god are they awesome.

My TRU only just today got in their first case of those legends: Megs and Screamer with shortpacked Op and Bee. I think there's some sort of distribution oddity with that entire subline. For months, I only saw them at Meijers and Target. They also showed up at Big Lots, but not at a lower price.

Good to see. TRU,Target and Wally Mart are sorely lacking Generations figs. TRU has 1st release prime and Target and Walmart have random Prime figs.

Looking forward to find Scoop to place next to my G1 version and Skywarp to round out the trio.

This wave sucks. . . I want Wave 3 with Rattrap and Tankor already. . .

Still haven't seen any sign of Wave 1 in my area. Needing Skids and Goldfire and would very much like to get them checked off my list before snagging Skywarp and Scoop out of this wave. Have pretty much written off Starscream. I like the design but the paint app is just killing it for me. More grey and less red and I'd be all over it but as it stands now he's a definite pass and I have more than enough mini-cons right now although the fact that they are technically Amonites (or whatever they are called in the IDW-verse) might sway my decision later after I pick up the other figures I'm after.

I wish it was that easy to find toys here. There's never much selection anymore and it's been that way since the first wave of PRID.

I found them this morning at a target down here.

I was at two Toys R Us stores today, and the Transformers section was sparse at best, mostly leftover Beast Hunters and construct bots, although my daughter was happy with the entire isle of My Little Pony with more toys than the isle could manage, spilling ponies over into the Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake isle.

Does that mean wave 1 is done with... I haven't seen a Skids anywhere near me?

Don't worry about missing a figure when a particular Wave has passed. A new Wave merely means new figures are introduced in the shipped cases, and some figures of earlier waves are carried over.

...and this is peculiar. According to BBTS listings the initial cases will have an even distribution of figures: 2 each in a case of 8. That's a first.

Maybe a Revision will re-introduce Skids into the assortment?
