Okay, I ordered all 6 Arialbots. The family15 code didn't work from me but I was able to get the spring15 code to work. I had previously picked up Firefly and Skydive from K-mart, but with discount and no tax I am saving $5 on each limb. So they are getting returned tomorrow. That $10 saved gets me a free a powerglide at no extra cost in the long run.

That looks better than having Blackjack as the chest.
I just realized you gave Menasor ankle tilts then I realized how you did it. Looks awesome :APPLAUSE:

Agreed, those are some badass leg-mode configurations. That's how I think I'll display mine.

That is horrific...I'm actually glad that leader class can't combine (outside of fan combination) it looks very unwieldy and unstable

Bought and received Air Raid this week from Seibertron store on Ebay. Decided it was time to give in so I could save gas and time looking in stores if Air Raid ever gets released locally.

Members in their G1 configurations, the way I like it with Powerglide as gun. :BOT:

If one uses Breakdown and Air Raid as legs, are they the same length?

I mention it in my review of Motormaster, but Drag Strip's rear fin has to be folded up whenever it is used as a leg. The vehicle is just too long.

Nice. I like the middle configuration particularly. I guess Pipes is inevitable from that mold and, if the blue is close enough, Prime could have a pseudo-Roller component. I'm hoping to come up with something using Breacher.

I love the new megatron and I think he will be my stand in for my Classics shelf and My MP shelf (as he fits in nice with MP-10 Optimus. my only problem is his head sculpt has no character. I much prefer the head of Cloud Megatron. CW Megatron's face is just bland.

Hey! Has anyone noticed how sweet the sculpted detail inside Motormaster's chest is?

It's cool though that they went through trouble to sculpt those little differences into the two. Can't wait to get Motormaster in my hands so I can pick out all the other differences in the retool.

So, I was watching some video review of Third-Party combiners and the Combiner Wars guys in order to make some comparisons. My main focus was the Fansproject M3 (I think that's the name) and CW Menasor, which is probably my favorite so far.

I must admit, the quality and level of detail on the FP guy is amazing. And also it is very faithful to the G1 Menasor, which, for some people, is an instant buy. For me, these factors do justify the higher price.

However, there were some things that didn't quite make it to me. One of them is the fact that the leg components are simply attached to the existing legs, made from separate parts that were from the torso guy. I like that combiners actually have their limbs made from the components, and not them as armor over existing limbs. Also the number of "partsforming" that goes into the torso...

However, my biggest gripe was the time. It took most reviews so long to put it all together, and so many small parts, and unnecessary movements. It just seemed that the toy was a bit over engineered.

Now, looking as a collector who likes to show my collection to my friends and family. I'd much prefer the Hasbro Menasor, which I can put together and transform the individual bots in a few minutes and a few easy movements; than a ROTF Prime level bot for each limb of the combiner, if only losing a little bit more articulation and more detail.

This is my opinion, of course, and I don't see anything wrong with people that prefer 3P

Yeah, I was gonna say its hard to free healthcare.

Also, man that Hulk Hogan video has some steep production value. Think of all that money spent flying the hulkster and the camera crew to film on all those locations!

Lastly, is that robert e lee in the video?

Yes, on bot accounts. I'm working on painting my own Menasor right now to bring out some of those details.

I think it's more likely supposed to be Menaso's own spark chamber, like a perverted version of Prime's matrix case. Because that's what you'd see if you opened up a Transformer's chest.

That's essentially my thought as well. The 3P stuff works well as novelty and display items. They look fantastic, they have great articulation, and they're engineered to perfection. But that makes them extremely complicated for their often small size. I've seen several people confess that they'd love to fiddle with their M3 more but they just don't want to take the time to disassemble him and transform all the individual parts. Meanwhile, the Hasbro toys are toys first and foremost. They've got decent articulation, simple but effective transformations, and they're affordable. Plus they can make either an arm or a leg and they can attach to other torso robots freely, which is something that most of the 3P combiners can't boast. Hasbro's products are toys for children to play with and have fun, which is what Transformers has always been, while the 3P products are collector-oriented. I don't mind people that like 3P output, but I do have a problem with people that claim Hasbro is terrible and that they should just hire all the engineers and designers that work at the third party companies, because that kind of attitude completely misses the point of what Transformers are supposed to be and who they're for.

I agree that Prime's is a nod to energon, and Menasor's does have an AOE Galv vibe, but I'm gonna just chalk it up to artistic license. Menasor's sculpt is much more menacing, evil, and twisted looking than Prime's, for sure.

I getcha. Before we had MM to compare with, I wasn't so much complaining about Prime's chest as I was being hopeful towards Takara's eventual release. Prime's Legends-less chest SCREAMS for paint apps, and would look a million times better if those fine points were picked out.

Motormaster on the other hand, looks OK in the solid grey. Even though I also look forward to his painted up Takara counterpart, the Hasbro one is just fine. It probably helps MM that one of his primary colors is grey, so that chest piece doesn't stick out like Prime's does.

Daaaaaammmmmnnnn.... I'm NOT a fan of stickers. But I have bought Repro's in the past and feel their quality is top notch. And that set fixes every issue with CW OP. If Takara's version has unsubstantial differences, it is so bought. Thanks Cobro ;)^

I can understand the "Hasbro is Terrible" attitude, even if I don't agree with it. They're toys, and Has does the fans well by directing the Generations line towards collectors.

When Hasbro announced Combiner Wars, with only a teaser for Superion, I was amazed and very excited, as was most of the fanbase. However, where they expected TFC's Uranos, I expected a good Superion with Hasbro's quality, that while not as great and detailed as 3P, has improved considerably over the years.

I think that they've learned a great lesson with FoC Bruticus, which I have and I like very much.

I hear you on the "searching stores" thing. Thats why I didn't order MM. So I would still have some pray out there in the wild.

That 20% is what's stopping me from cancelling my preorder from HTS if I see thm in stores before they ship. I too was under the impression that they would be shipping at the end of March, and my invoice still says that. I hope they do, because every day that Menasor stands on my shelf with Dragstip and Fireflight as legs, I want the rest of the stunticons more.

I placed my order HasbroToyShop.com for Motormaster, the stuntacon limbs (plus AirRaid), Blackjack, and Megatron the minute they were all first available to order. Megatron Shipped right away, Motormaster and Blackjack a few days later, and the limbs have yet to ship.

My Order Status page still shows the limbs as having an expected shipping date of 3/27, so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that they can stick to that date!

Hey man, thanks for the review, but please post this one and the others you'll have in the site section we dedicate to reviews. It can be found here. That's where people go for reviews so you'll get your target audience right there. You can make a thread for all your stuff. Also, that will help keep the momentum and flow going of the conversation on this thread. Cheers!

Yes. Three months of disparate thinking just made sense. I knew I'd seen connectors like them...

No typo on our part. The original date *was* March 27th, and it still is... For the first shipment to HTS. It presold out in a matter of hours, so they ordered more and that second wave of figures will arrive April 27th.

Because of this, I couldn't wait. I bought one from an importer and it was well worth the extra money to be able to complete my Superion. I'm sick and tired of waiting, I'll pay extra to get it now and use coupon codes later on to catch up on what I didn't before.

Patience is not my strong suit.
