While Combiner Wars G2 Superion has been chilling in Canada for a couple of weeks now, we finally have our first US retail listing for this toy. It was being sold and shipped from Amazon.com today for 99.99$ and he sure seems popular because he was sold out before our very own Scotty P could go to checkout (who, along with Bounti76, made us aware of this listing).
If the price sounds good to you and you would wish to get him soon, be sure to bookmark this link to see if he comes back in stock. If he does, please let us know in the thread for products that are now available online.

Looks cool but it's definitely a digibash. The colors are wrong on the torso, head, drillhorn and killbison
... and the killer: that's Gen. Ratbat's head, aka Gen. Scourge's alternate head mold.
So That's where that head came from. Interesting
And here's something funny: when first leaked via Gen. Scourge's instructions, some of us thought it was Leozack
Oh man, I want that toy now! (the japan ratbat). How the hell is Takara the one with the toys representing caracters of comics that arent even translated in japanese yet?!
Hellscream9999 wrote:So is this art fake or not? Is the torso currently considered to be Deathsaurus? (those rumors have been right about everything else, right?)
Art is pretty darn legit. And yes the main rumour is that the torso is deathsaurus.
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:YoungPrime wrote:Deathsaurus deserves his own unique un-CW'd figure preferably a Leaderclass but I wouldn't mind a likely titan class Tripticon remold of him either.
I really don't want that Deathsaurus thing to be true. Really don't. So I fully agree with you. I want it to still be Leozack
You can call him leozack if you want. People call battle core prime Nova Prime, you can do as you wish. Though you should be aware of one thing though. This being the skylynx mold, leozack will not have a robot mode and if you look at the pick, the torso does incorporate the black jalguar stomack segment. So your Leozack would be a teal and black dino bird.
Pretty much the idea behind this is that it can be a good looking liokaiser combiner but that in individual modes, it would look like an update to this with 2 less smaller vehicles:

Probably just a redeco. It looks to be pretty much the same mold with a little head sculpted into the pre-existins combiner head.

I'm pretty sure that the head of pretooled by Hasbro, but by the time the Generations line had switched to its FOC phase, the size of the Deluxe class had shrunk down to where the Scourge mold was too big to properly fit into the Deluxe class packaging Hasbro was using for both the FOC and Thrilling 30 phases of the Generations line, and just forgone releasing the mold as Senator Ratbat.william-james88 wrote:Oh man, I want that toy now! (the japan ratbat). How the hell is Takara the one with the toys representing caracters of comics that arent even translated in japanese yet?!
Takara, however, did not have so rigid a size class system as Takara and was able to fit the Scourge mold into their equivalent of Deluxe class packaging. And since the Japanese Generations line was basing itself on the FOC and Thrilling 30 portions of the Hasbro line, Takara was able to release Ratbat amid the rest of its IDW-based figures. As for how Takara released the IDW figures as representations of the IDW character despite the lack of IDW's comics being in Japanese, Andrew Hall was the writer of the Japanese bios for the Japanese Generations line at the time, and thus was able to write bios that appropriated the toys to the American FOC and IDW characters that they represented in English-speaking markets.
Not to mention that MTMTE does have a somewhat healthy fan following in Japan, with Japanese fans reading the comics in English (I believe ComiXology is also accessible to the Japanese) and drawing tons of MTMTE fan art.

Maybe Dezaras had enough of Leozack's bs and ate him + Jaruga. And they probably tasted terrible which causes big D to turn teal and black.

100% yes. Even if there's minor changes in plastic colours with the same paint mask/layout, I feel that it'll definitely be a different decco. Otherwise what would be the point of selling scattershot individually at all?

I honestly think they put out Scattershot with no plans to do Computron, saw the reaction to it, and changed plans. Realized later that wouldn't really work as the torso so repacked it into a box set with some new paint apps, also allowing them to keep a consistent price point with the other four (so far) planned boxed sets.ZeroWolf wrote:I think the computron head looks different as well in the box art to what betatron has. Though I'm still wondering about why they released scattershot on his own. My personal theory could be that there was something else in his place but it was shelved/pushed back so that left a spot open in the waves so they took scattershot in the state he was in at that moment and worked out the gap between him and the box set then revealed him.

Transformers have a production cycle of two years (I think, but correct me if I am wrong), so the situation you propose is impossible. As for Zerowolf's suggestion:

But that goes against what John Warden told Seibertron (Ryan Y) when he was asked about the release when he was initially announced, along with the name of his combied form. He was told that it was called Betatron because it was the beta version of another combiner, with a hint hint wink wink. That tells me they were gonna release computron eventually (a full combiner takes a while to plan for). Since all these designs are preplanned, I think its more the other way around. Computron would be released eventually but since Scattershot has a whole bunch of new tooling, he would be released first to offset some of the cost and as a way to get new stuff on the shelves. Hasbro never denied that we would be getting computron, unlike what they said about Predaking, Abominus and King Poseidon.

Yup minimum 2 years. This was confirmed by hasbro in this awesome article from 2013:
http://gizmodo.com/5994962/autobots-ass ... me-to-life
Also, a cool tidbit for you all. This is for all Hasbro toys. Take this interesting toy for instance, it is another hybrid dinosaur from Jurassic Park. This idea never got past the design stage for the film and the script was rewritten to exclude it (and thus make the Indominus Rex unique). By the time the script was changed before initialy photography began (and well before they started filming), Hasbro was already too advanced along the development to change things and the toy was released with the rest. That means that the time it takes to rewrite a movie script and then shoot the film, then add special effects, edit it and release it is small potatoes compared to the time it takes to develop a toy.
And that toy didnt even need that extra interaction with a Japanese company to engineer it.

I would have liked to have seen that as well, but just for the sake of variety. I actually like old Ironhide a lot and often reach for "Big Tex" to play with. In Superlink, that's Red Alert anyhow (and therefore the inspiration for the Energon redeco of Armada's Red Alert toy in the Sam's Club two pack with Starscream.) In my head canon, that's indeed the UT version of Prowl, but after being reassigned to Velocitron and scanning in a more appropriate alt mode.

Though, just for clarity for those unaware, the Super Link version being named "Red Alert" shouldn't be confused with the Armada/Cybertron Red Alert character, whose name was "Ratchet" in Micron Desetsu and both "First Aid" and "First Gunner" (after his upgrade) in Galaxy Force.ScottyP wrote:I cared.william-james88 wrote:They did something new for the 20th anniversary and made him a formula 1 type car. -New leaders for torso re-use
Silverbolt & Hotspot joint 1st place with 8 uses each.
-New leaderS for limb re-use
The Skydive/AirRaid mold AND the Deadend/Streetwise mold, which now stands at a grand total of 13 uses.
-Total Combiner bots existing UP
Now 24 complete gestalts
-New pure and chaste overlord
Unite Warriors Blast-off's new shuttle mode is the only CW mold which hasn't been repainted at least once.
PM me if you want screencaps.
Who is the 13th use of the dead end mold? And am I the only one who's a little upset that with all the mold reuses we didn't see another use of first aid or a retool to drag strip?
1. Dead End
2. Break Neck
3. UW Dead End
4. G2 Dead End
5. UW Wild Rider
6. G2 Wild Rider
7. Street Wise
8. UW Street Wise
9. Prowl
10. UW Prowl
11. Smokescreen
12. Lightspeed
13. Dust Up
I would wait on putting Lightspeed with the Dead End mold. Breakdown has a similar transformation for the leg mode, the only difference is the shape of the pieces. And shapes can be drawn distorted depending on artist. Besides, Wheeljack (who's based on Breakdown)has a more fitting shape for Lightspeed in vehicle mode.
Also, looking at the Bruticus teaser more closely, he has a similar shape to the Aerialbots in arm mode with the cockpit going on his back. It's quite possible he'll be a heavy retool.

By "he" you mean Blast Off?! Yeah, I would have prefered a remold of Alpha Bravo but let's see what they are making out of it. And yes, with the AB mold he would be upside down, but I wouldn't have cared.

Sadly you may be waiting a while for predaking, not saying that he'll never come but earliest estimate would be 2018, just in time for the third part of "prime wars"
Welcome to Seibertron by the way

Yes, I meant Blast Off For that matter, Strafe also has Lightspeed's problem with the Aerialbot molds being so similar: it could be either Skydive/Air Raid or Firefly.
