Definitely going to skip the first two (sups and menasor) and save up for bruticus, but if g2 defensor is anything like the prototypes auctioned off, I'll be passing on them too

Wonder what G2 Shockwave will look like ? Hope its the all grey pre-transformers deco. I look foward to this so I can finally display my FOC Combaticons as individual bots. I never transformed them before just pulled him out the box and added the boosticus set.

You may be in luck as the pic does seem to be tending towards the cool/grey side of the spectrum, shame he isn't shown in the art

Sadly though, Bruticcus would be the only G2 with the wrong limbs being released. Sups and Menasor both include the right set of limbs that was at first not available at retail, making them perfect homages to their G2 combiner selves. This one though uses the jet mold for Blastoff rather than a space shuttle.

I am also curious to see the deco on the shockwave they include.

And I wasnt trying to be a ballbuster, I just find it cool that while it is perfectly fine for us to reffer to that as galvatronus, we still technically know nothing of what it looks like. While I probably wont get it, I am super curious.

I'm super tempted, if only to have more limbs (as on galvatronus will be a separate fig if they are both cyclonus) but I'm waiting to see pics first, I love all the molds, so it's a no-brainer for me. Wow, TT's galvatronus, and G2 bruticus, that's a lot of cash to drop on repaints, might have to go without

I have similar feelings. Recon jet that has orbital abilities does sound and look better with the combat team. idk, just makes sense to me

I'm holding off to see what Takara does for Bruticus. Shuttle Blast-Off, torso fix for Brawl, and maybe an extra gun for Onslaught; I hope. I really don't like they're using hot SPOTS guns like that.

So with the limbs and torsos out, when are the legends coming? I'd really like to get that Shockwave in hand.

If the Combiner Wars G2 Menasor and G2 Superion sets announced earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con were up your alley, then you'll be equally excited about Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus! A poor quality image of the front of the box leaked online yesterday, but now we've got some official images directly from Hasbro that we can share with all of you that Hasbro showed us during a presentation earlier this week.

Bruticus is a Decepticon Combiner made from the Combaticons Onslaught, Swindle, Brawl, Vortex and Blast Off. As an extra bonus, a Legends Class Shockwave figure is included so that you can recreate those classic scenes from the Generation One episode "The Revenge of Bruticus". This giftset presents all 6 of these characters in classic Generation 2 colors. Of special note is Shockwave, whose color scheme homages his 1990 G1 Action Master counterpart.

While an exact date was not specified for this product's release date, we're estimating some time around next summer (early 3rd quarter). Hopefully takara will cash in and do a real G2 Blast Off. I hate that stupid slingshot repaint that didnt even get a faceplate when they could have used the fireflight head. That mouth just annoys the crap outta me like hes saying "I blow". I need me a shuttle. I think the idea of a military shuttle that launches spy satellites is cool and unique. Its ironic that nobody complains about a passenger concorde being teamed up with 4 fighter jets but they all hate the shuttle.

I think it's worth waiting until images come out because the idea is set least interesting. And who knows maybe they'll fix the brawl mold by then. I agree that they're milking it and like I said I'm getting tired of it too but if the combined mode looks good I'll be interested.

Oh, but of course, why wouldn't the torso of Liokaiser not be Leozack when they can instead make it into his boss who was never a part of Liokaiser in the first place! Totally makes sense, yeah!

And the fact that Jallguar from Swindle, one of the most OBVIOUS redeco/remold ideas for a CW Liokaiser, is not being done just reeks of pure logic and common sense. Truly, such an idea is worth doing.

I can see why they made some decisions that they did. First of all Jallguar was never a limb in Liokaiser so it was a catch 22 for his portion. People would complain either way so they went with the actual limbs. As far as the torso goes I can see them not wanting to use the silverbolt torso again since they've used it 3 times already. Instead they use a mold that's only been used once and can at least homage another character that has ties to the combiner in some way. This was a risk for them to take in the first place and I'm sure some people are happy they did. Right now I'm not totally sure and am reserving any real thoughts until a picture comes out. The way I see it is if they're going to be doing box sets now then let them go crazy with them. Since they're repaints they're not costing Hasbro much to make them so they're not taking budget away from anywhere else and since they're not main line releases they're not interfering with other characters coming out. Obviously not everyone is going to be happy with it but I appreciate the nod ( however slight) to the collectors because they're pretty much the only ones who Will know who this team is.

It makes sense in my head,

If they did Jaruga and Leozack as limbs, Sold it as a set of 7, with Deathsaurus as the torso, hell they could even do Deathcobra (was that his name in the show?) helicopter limb to round out the set as 8. It represents their interaction with Deathsaurus as the breast force. Give them all arms micron weapons too while we're at it. There's plenty of existing mold potential for that set.

What if part of next years tfss 5.0 will have the last 3 members of the breast force team. It was said in an interview that the service was approved at the same time as 4.0 and Will have some combiner wars molds but not all of them will be. It was also said that they will be characters that American fans haven't had a chance to get before.

Also g2 Bruticus looks really nice actually. I'll definitely be getting him.

The limbs themselves MAY be worth getting, but I'm really not sold on Deathsaurus as the torso.
I get why Jaruga isn't a limb, but it does feel off to be getting 2 tanks and jets, when we could get some more variation with a Swindle repaint.

I really hope they don't do this to Liokaiser. Where's Jallguar from Swindle? A new Leozack mold? And the Sky Lynx mold only has one repaint possibility that will look at least a little good: Big Purple Griffen. For shame, Hasbro.

That would be ideal and it would open up the door to do other 6 bot combiners like Monstructor.

There are certainly ways of making it look like Liokaiser collectively, at the cost of the torso bots.

The problem is that a vehicle that turns into a beast is unlike most other bots outside of the current RID line. More suited to a Hatchet or, dare I say, a Purple Griffin. Heck, with retooling and replacing the shuttle, you could make an argument for Hun-Grrr.
