They're a reputable site sponsor (the article says as much) and their adverts are on virtually every page of this website, if you don't have an adblock installed. I know advice is risky territory here - but how about not assuming and just taking 5 seconds to do a Bing\Google search for them and save yourself the time spent posting?
I'm actually surprised you've never heard of them - they even get their updates put onto the newsfeed.

BBTS only sold onslaught and scattershot as a pair. He isnt that bad but definitely no maketoys metalstorm.

Well, they did sell him individually but, for $33 each; now that wave 2 is out, his price has returned to it's normal price

You mean the 100+ dollar collector-oriented figure is better than the 25 dollar kid's toy? Shock! But hey, "isn't that bad" is basically a Rated X glowing endorsement so I can't get TOO holier-than-thou.

Honesty I dont pay much attention to smaller retailers as they come and go. The cant afford to buy in huge quantities and upsell BBTS. The only small retailer I deal with is chimungmung because he often gets rare items and early factory samples.

I'm thinking that if the individual Onslaught comes in stock on BBTS, I will take the plunge and order the entire team from them. For some reason now, they are showing that they will ship all 5 for $5.99, a drastic decrease over what they gave me last week

Yeah, saver is ~$4.50 + $.50 per pound or something like that - and they weigh ~3lbs;
But if you have the patience, you should just wait for the sky-lynx case with the pile'o'loot system - as that is the one with the cheap onslaughts in it; otherwise, you'll be shooting yourself in the foot by getting charged shipping for skylynx when you order it later. If you want the wave 2 limbs, just pre-order them too and push that into your stack

My patience is notoriously low in quality and quantity. I just want my Bruticus now, Sky Reign maybe later in February towards spring break, and then Victorion right as school is letting out for the summer. Plans!

But it's the new year! should be a coupon for the first few weeks of the New year to serve to get rid of Christmas stock.
Also of note: it's funny that on BBTS, Armada Megs is $29.99 while G1 Megs is $49.99, and the legends class ranges from $7.99 (Warpath) to $14.99 (Viper). I'm surprised Viper is still holding that cost

Yeah, they (can) fluctuate the price to compensate for perceived interest, just like how the initial onslaught and sky-awesome were $33 and $35 respectively.

Not sure where you came up with the 60% figure unless you conducted a survey from IP addresses perhaps? Reading further down the comments its refreshing to see there are some Floridians on here. Although in the last couple of years the site has seen an influx of members from 2 particular non-Asian countries who I find myself constantly in disagreement with due to cultural differences. Many of the people I know who stopped posting here from the US are former staff. Im not going to put their business out there because theyre either cool with me in person or cool with someone I know in person. But out of pure curiousity, I wonder what percentage of current active staff members and mods on this site actually live in the US ? (Besides Ryan)

The 60% is publicly available data. Just check this out http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/seibertron.com
It's actualy 58.6% of people who visit seibertron are from the US but I preferred giving a whole number. And that stat is a good index to measure the rest by. A bunch of staff replied to your last comment, including news staff and mods. Just read their comments and read their position and you will see there are quite few americans here.
But I still strongly beleive that it doesnt matter how many americans are around when discussing about toys that werent american to begin with. Hasbro is an international company and it's Transformers franchise is shared with Japan to the point that each of their toys has a counterpart there. And all designs are based on initial Japanese (G1) designs. So I dont see how being internationally inclined would be bad.

Seibertron seems to have a lot of its data being run through Google, which can pinpoint where the sites traffic is coming from at glance. Even my wordpress site does it for me.
I'm going to have to bite when I see Powermaster Prime up for pre-order. It an ace figure.

Thats actually a quote from one of my favorite old school movies (Under Siege) minus the cussword.
My expierence with most smaller dealers is once you place your order, your bound to it. So my "assumption" is more of an educated guess based on previous knowledge. You might then ask how do I know they are a "small" operation? My answer would be "how big could they possibly be if I never heard of them?"

Interesting data. Although I was more talking about site visitors with an account that post in the forums, not lurkers who just read the news. I would love to see the same data spreadsheet stats on members with accounts minus the lurkers if thats at all possible?
And the only reason I brought this up is because I noticed over the years posting is that the non-US site users take a more conservative stance on certain issues that US site users are very liberal about. When these differences in opinion cause arguements, that is my definition of "culture shock" on this website. And without trying to offend anyone, half of this culture shock I expierence is from staff members.

Sorry if I got too off topic. But the staff members with the blue screen names seemed to be encouraging the discussion in a respectable fashion. You guys should have a conference call and get on the same page about whats acceptable. The new staff often act on the mods behalfs, so when they engage in an off topic discussion the rest of us will think its ok.

Let's get back on topic. This thread has a very specific purpose. I'm sure there are plenty of other threads where we can discuss Seibertron politics and demographics, and the pros and cons of small retailers Vs. large retailers.
Thanks.

I was at Target the other day, and the ONLY deluxe on the shelves was Vortex. Two of them. So I guess we're having the opposite problem.

Hmm, lucky, I've got a bunch'a '84 bots still, like 2-3 cases worth at each store talk about a long shelf life, august to now or longer; guess it makes up for them going from wave 1 to wave 4 with a 6 month span of time where they weren't stocking tf's at all

Yeah, I wondered if he was mislabeled and got lost on the site, but, they're missing out on so many sales by not having him, as so many (>90%) of us buy them as a set, I bet a lot of people are waiting for him to show up to get the free shipping; just surprised brawl and swindle haven't sold out yet
And now the site's not working, maybe vortex showed up and the server exploded from everyone trying to buy them all at once
