Cary uses a souped up Jazz.

Jazz kills everyone.

Jazz makes everyone else cannon fodder.

Be like Cary. Use Jazz.

I tried downloading the game on my iPhone 6. It stalls while "loading" or "installing."

Haven't tried my iPad Air yet. I deleted it off my phone, hopefully there's an update soon.

Anyone else having this problem?

As someone who has been playing this game for months, and has watched it evolve and improve in real time, cancellation seems extremely unlikely.

FYI: Supposedly to get your pre-registration reward character you have to use the link sent to you via email, which just dumps you into the regular app store for your device to download the regular version of the game. But your reward character doesn't show up. Supposedly they're 'working on it'. Not a good start to the game if the devs can't deliver on their pre-registration offer.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS Now Available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android Devices

Players Must Align with the Autobots or Decepticons to Determine Earth’s Fate
in New Real-Time Combat Strategy Game from Hasbro, Backflip Studios and Space Ape Games

BOULDER, Colo. – June 2, 2016 – Hasbro Inc., Backflip Studios and Space Ape Games today released TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS, a new real-time combat strategy mobile game featuring the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe. Published by Backflip Studios (DragonVale, SpellFall, Paper Toss) and developed by Space Ape Games (Rival Kingdoms, Samurai Siege), TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS breaks new ground for the genre, pairing authentic Transformers storytelling with fast-paced gameplay, beautiful 3D animation and hundreds of characters with diverse strengths and abilities. The game is available now for free download on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and on Google Play for Android devices.

“The Transformers franchise is one of the most iconic in the world, so it is exciting to include these characters in such a compelling mobile gaming experience,” said Julian Farrior, CEO of Backflip Studios. “We are thrilled to partner with Hasbro and Space Ape Games to launch TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS and think that Transformers fans are going to love teaming up with their favorite Autobots or Decepticons in these highly engaging mobile battles.”

Inspired by Hasbro’s “Transformers Generations Prime Wars Trilogy,” TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS players must choose to fight with Optimus Prime and the Autobots or Megatron and the Decepticons in a battle to decide the fate of planet Earth. Once allegiance has been sworn, gamers assemble a powerful team of playable characters, raid enemy bases for Energon stockpiles, and construct the Space Bridge to add reinforcements from Cybertron, all while playing in real-time against other players around the globe.

The game also features notable storytellers and voice actors from the Transformers franchise, including dialogue written by comic legend Simon Furman and voice acting from Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime, and Frank Welker, the original voice of Megatron.

"TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS offers players an engaging storyline and incredible gameplay experience,” said Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President, Digital Gaming and Corporate Development at Hasbro. “The game harnesses the unique strengths and abilities of hundreds of characters from Transformers lore, which really helps it to stand above existing real-time combat strategy games and delivers on the Transformers promise of More than Meets the Eye.”

“With TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS, our team was dedicated to making a high quality, hand crafted experience that fans of both mobile games and Transformers will enjoy,” said John Earner, CEO of Space Ape Games. “We’re really excited about the finished product and can’t wait to help grow and support the community around this game.”

TRANSFORMERS: EARTH WARS is FREE to download andwill feature in-game purchases, and is available worldwide excluding Japan and China on Android and iOS. Please note that a WiFi connection is required to play.

You're darn tooting I do!

I just got back into the game now that it's gone live. It has its quirks, it's ups and downs; but we've seen some big changes to the game over the last few monthgs. Some of them took a while to adjust to and some were just plain awesome.

My point is that there is a lot of polish and fun to be had here. I have a good feeling that we will see a lot more change over the next 6 months to a year. I'm still betting on combiners

The most fun I've had is hanging out with my robobuddies, collecting bots and playing base with them - good times ;)^

This thread is also a good place to talk strategy. There are quite a few theories for both defense and offense. Sharing strategies will help win wars and we need to stop Burn and his Decepticon cronies :-P

The full game has been available for a few days at least, it's just now in the US app stores. My issue is that it's a bad looking start to not make good on offers right out of the gate. I'll be rejoining the Seibertron alliance once I get enough along again in the full game.

Strangely you can still play the Beta too, even though the full game is out.

Has anyone else playing the Decepticon version noticed a weird - albeit very minor - graphical glitch with Blast Off? When he's walking around the base, the jet on his back is completely extended out. Like, the tailfin's hanging off him and everything; and the cockpit is left as if untransformed on the toy. It fixes itself once he transforms to jet mode and transforms out of it, but it's still odd lol.

That happens now and then. I've caught Thundercracker walking around half transformed with his wings already rotated down ready for flight.

The latest one is Long Haul, he just doesn't display at all so he's a little black triangle on the battlefield.

I compared it to his toy and various fictional depictions and it doesn't resemble them nearly as much as Bovis. SpaceApe, I see what you're playing at.

So I've got the full game, now I'm wondering if there's any way to port over my data from the Beta or if I have to do that full grind again. Some parts I don't mind but it's a bit uphill at the start. If I could at least turn off hints....

Has anyone figured out exactly what the shield special ability does, or how best to use it? I have Jumpstream, who has that ability. I'm sure some other characters have it too.
Does it just protect the user while attacking a target, or does it extend out to others around them too?

A little bit of both. It blocks the path and protects anyone inside.

It will absorb any weapon that hits it. I'll need to check but the shield bearer may still take a % of damage.

This is how I use the ability: I send her in to block attacks and start attacking the weapon. Sometimes I can use the shield to block multiple weapons at once and/or protect anyone behind her.

My Jumpstream is a little weak so I usually wait until I've already attacked the weapon so she can destroy it. More often than not I'm using it to just buy time.

She is in my D team and it helps to have a little bit of protection for those weaker bots.

EDIT: it only blocks 80% of damage but I've found in use it does stop the projectile and other bots won't get hit unless it's an area of affect type weapon.

It also pulls agro, which means all nearby weapons with target Jumpstream. A good way to distract weapons from attacking other bots or even better, some that are about to fall.

I wonder if there is an Autobot that has the same skill. I've seen a few abilities that do not have a counterpart.

Kickback has those glass grenades (or what ever they are called) and so far I have yet to find a 'bot with that skill.

Mirage has EMP cluster missiles, which I didn't see a 100% same ability on the 'con side - Kickback is close but not the same.

I think it's kinda fun to give each side some unique stuff. Makes picking one over the other more than just personal preference. I have heard from the devs that they want to allow you to have one of each team per account. That would be fun and I'd love to take myself on ;)^

Kurona wrote:Anyone else having trouble with the last stage of the Decepticon campaign Power Play? No clue how to deal with Ironhide and the Beam Laser.
I never got that far when I had a 'con team, but I'll give some generic advice. Attack rival player and level up your team. Don't forget to level up their abilities as well, that can make a huge difference for some of them. Getting a few bots up to ability lvl 3 doesn't take a whole lot of resources - lvl 4 is a pretty major hit.

Where do you get the sparks to level up abilities though? So far I've only gotten sparks from getting a duplicate Tantrum on the space bridge.

There are three ways to get sparks that I'm aware of.

1. random reward for the free crystals

2. dupe bots generate sparks and 2 or 3 star shards

3. winning alliance wars

There is a forth way, some of the daily bundles for purchase have sparks included.

Has anyone else found buying premium crystals next to useless after you get all the 2star formers?
