The full game has been available for a few days at least, it's just now in the US app stores. My issue is that it's a bad looking start to not make good on offers right out of the gate. I'll be rejoining the Seibertron alliance once I get enough along again in the full game.

Strangely you can still play the Beta too, even though the full game is out.

When he's walking around the base, the jet on his back is completely extended out. Like, the tailfin's hanging off him and everything; and the cockpit is left as if untransformed on the toy. It fixes itself once he transforms to jet mode and transforms out of it, but it's still odd lol.

Hahaha, I'm not but I've noticed that Ironhide and Ratchet do the same thing with the hood sticking out of their chest.

That happens now and then. I've caught Thundercracker walking around half transformed with his wings already rotated down ready for flight.

The latest one is Long Haul, he just doesn't display at all so he's a little black triangle on the battlefield.

What's your in-game name Kurona and are you interested in joining the 'Con Seibertron Alliance?

I've been playing around with it and I'm having fun. It's mostly a "set and forget" type game but the battles are an interesting way to progress through the story. I love the transformation sounds! It brings me back to the good old days watching them on TV.

I compared it to his toy and various fictional depictions and it doesn't resemble them nearly as much as Bovis. SpaceApe, I see what you're playing at.

So I've got the full game, now I'm wondering if there's any way to port over my data from the Beta or if I have to do that full grind again. Some parts I don't mind but it's a bit uphill at the start. If I could at least turn off hints....

Has anyone figured out exactly what the shield special ability does, or how best to use it? I have Jumpstream, who has that ability. I'm sure some other characters have it too.
Does it just protect the user while attacking a target, or does it extend out to others around them too?

A little bit of both. It blocks the path and protects anyone inside.

It will absorb any weapon that hits it. I'll need to check but the shield bearer may still take a % of damage.

This is how I use the ability: I send her in to block attacks and start attacking the weapon. Sometimes I can use the shield to block multiple weapons at once and/or protect anyone behind her.

My Jumpstream is a little weak so I usually wait until I've already attacked the weapon so she can destroy it. More often than not I'm using it to just buy time.

She is in my D team and it helps to have a little bit of protection for those weaker bots.

EDIT: it only blocks 80% of damage but I've found in use it does stop the projectile and other bots won't get hit unless it's an area of affect type weapon.

It also pulls agro, which means all nearby weapons with target Jumpstream. A good way to distract weapons from attacking other bots or even better, some that are about to fall.

There's also the reflective shield which reflects attacks back at the attacker.

Anyone else having trouble with the last stage of the Decepticon campaign Power Play? No clue how to deal with Ironhide and the Beam Laser.

I wonder if there is an Autobot that has the same skill. I've seen a few abilities that do not have a counterpart.

Kickback has those glass grenades (or what ever they are called) and so far I have yet to find a 'bot with that skill.

Mirage has EMP cluster missiles, which I didn't see a 100% same ability on the 'con side - Kickback is close but not the same.

I think it's kinda fun to give each side some unique stuff. Makes picking one over the other more than just personal preference. I have heard from the devs that they want to allow you to have one of each team per account. That would be fun and I'd love to take myself on

I never got that far when I had a 'con team, but I'll give some generic advice. Attack rival player and level up your team. Don't forget to level up their abilities as well, that can make a huge difference for some of them. Getting a few bots up to ability lvl 3 doesn't take a whole lot of resources - lvl 4 is a pretty major hit.

Where do you get the sparks to level up abilities though? So far I've only gotten sparks from getting a duplicate Tantrum on the space bridge.

There are three ways to get sparks that I'm aware of.

1. random reward for the free crystals

2. dupe bots generate sparks and 2 or 3 star shards

3. winning alliance wars

There is a forth way, some of the daily bundles for purchase have sparks included.

Hey all, I'm looking to (re-)join the Seibertron Decepticon alliance. My in-game name is That Bot (Shocking!). I was in the beta alliance but clearly ZERO of that data is carrying over.

Well I'm a little annoyed. Apparently I never pre-registered for the game, even though I thought I did. I contacted customer support and they said they couldn't find my email address in the queue. Guess I'm missing out on..... who was the Decepticon pre-reg character?

Also, I kind of already knew this from the beta, but having the full game really cements that Slipstream's ability sucks. On paper, spread damage to surrounding buildings if the targeted building is destroyed within 15 seconds sounds good. But in practice, the buildings you usually want your seekers to target are more than 15 seconds away from destruction by your ground-based bots, but pose imminent risk. Mortars and beam lasers mostly. Right now I only have room for 4 bots in my team, so only 1 seeker makes the cut, and slipstream is far from my first pick.

See, you've already identified the problem with Slipstream, you need that secondary bot to trigger the mass destruction.

When it works, it works REALLY well.

But they also need to be strong enough to destroy a building in one go. If they can't, you'll have to use Kickback as well with his glass ability to soften things up.

I never got far enough in the beta to unlock anybody with orbital strike so that doesn't mean a lot to me. But I'll keep it in mind. I'm not great at strategizing. I can't seem to build a defensive base to save my life, even with my experience from the beta. I'm not good at making the most use of characters' abilities. But I'll keep that tip in mind. Even when I unlocked six character slots, I still used Thundercracker or even Blast Off as my second seeker most often than Slipstream because I couldn't get her ability to work for me. My problem is also that the damage spread when it DOES work doesn't seem to be too much, but maybe that will change as I level her ability up.

It appears that we'll be getting the rest of the Dinobots soon!

Okay I'm late joining the party but I have to admit; this game is SO INCREDIBLY ADDICTING... It's basically the Transformers game I've always wanted to play, and I'm not terrible at it.

Now all we gotta do is get these Combiner teams combining, then we'll be cooking with gas!

Has any received Soundwave yet? I just got a 3 star Soundwave and he seems pretty useless at a low level. I see some potential if he's at level 20+ and with a few ability upgrades. They could do a lot of damage and would be like have a few extra fighters.

Quick question, who WERE the preregister bots? Am I getting screwed out of someone fantastic or is it a low-skill bot that will be forgotten once higher tier characters are acquired?

Also, Burn has kicked some inactive users out of the league. Maybe it's not my place to say this but if you're active and want to join, we could use you.

I have a 2* Soundwave. Deploying the minions can be a handy thing as they can draw fire.

But until he gets to a higher level, he's pretty weak.

I'm looking at upgrading my ipad soon. If I do, I'll probably give this game a shot, given how much I play Game of War and the RPG here. Right now, it won't load on my older ipad mini.

The pre-register bots were Breakdown or Prowl. I don't remember if they were 1 or 2 star. Both gunners with high attacks and cluster missiles as the special. Gunners have low defense/HP.

You're pretty likely to get these guys via normal play. Prowl is part of my A team, but he drops real easy and is usually the first to go.


Deployer talk time.

I never had Soundwave but I do have Blaster. I'm going to assume they are the same. My Blaster is a 2 star and is OK and part of my A team only because I've had him the longest. He's always the first to get subbed out though.

On offense he has high HP/defense so he can take a beating. As Burn said the minions are a good distraction and do add extra fire power. The nice thing is they stay out until they die and can be aimed at a specific target. They can also be re-deployed if they die if you have the points to spend.

I'd suggest waiting until all the big bad weapons have been dealt with before deploying them. They die super fast.

They can be super awesome on defense. Again the high HP keeps the Deployer alive and I've seen the minions run the attackers in circles. And by attackers I mean my squad. I didn't put Blaster on defense until I had a third outpost though. I found the leader and warrior class to be better defenders. Optimus can be a battle winner.

Ah, Breakdown, I had him in the beta. Loved him there. Hopefully I'll get one sooner rather than later, having Swindle as my only gunner is kinda taxing. While I like his ability spread, sometimes I'd rather have Breakdown's targeted EMP grenades to take down a particularly annoying target. In time I suppose. Looking forward to acquiring a Deployer.

Hello all. I just wanted to drop by and say that I am a member of the Decepticon Seibertron alliance. I have frequented these boards a few times before but never made an account until now. I usually just lurk on the tfw2005 boards and used to lurk on the idw boards until they went down for an extended period.

I have been waiting for this game to release for a long time now and I am enjoying it thus far. I am hoping for lots of added content in the future. My best squad right now consists of 2 star megatron, 3 star soundwave, 3 star mixmaster, 3 star hook, 2 star skywarp, and 2 star brawl or swindle. Gotta love those gunners!

If any new players are looking for tips, the best one I have heard so far is this: Instead of attacking in your recommended zone and trying to win, just focus on attacking the hardest bases you can and work on taking out the resources that you need rather than worrying about trying to win.
