That is one of the nicest looking toys period along with DOTM Shockwave.

He looks pretty Hot looking, definitely a buy and looks more promising and interesting then the other figures!!!!

He's been my favorite from the begining and this confirms why he is funking amazing i dont know why people were complaining about his chest he is one fine looking transformer, Pure winner.

I agree and he is totally different from all other Helicopter Transformers ever build! He is the first to have the blade as a chest design rather then a weapon or back

this is hands down the best looking movie figure ever to be made and dare i say best helicopter TF as well. This is the only DOTM figure that is a must buy for me.

But guys, something's not right here. That color scheme does not match the pictures we've seen so far! Remember the white & blue head? Are we looking at the Takara Tomy version here?

could be, but also keep in mind that all the pics weve seen so far are prototypes stolen from the factory, so its possible this is a running change or variant as well. at this point anythings possible. but white head or not, this ones one of the few dotm must haves for me

Heh, you win this round Dark of the Moon. But this is the only money you get from me. Apart from the cinema ticket. And the DVD. And mayyyybe that Nascar Sideswipe.

I started out kinda "Meh" if not slightly negative about this one but now that I've seen some MUCH better pics of this guy I'm thinking that I might actually have to get this one. The blades on the chest gimmick doesn't actually suck like I first thought it was going to and his detail is very cool compared to just about every other DotM figure.
This now makes 2 DotM figures that have managed to make it to my 'Must Have' list.

Is anyone else getting a Tigerhawk vibe from that headsculpt?

I know the alt mode is wrong, but the head and overall hulking stature scream movieverse Grimlock to me... would love to see a repaint with G1 Grimmy's colors

THANK YOU! I know that head was reminding me of someone but couldn't place it until you mentioned it. You're quite right...

I also noticed the different colors on the head and wonder if it was an error or if this is a TakTom version...I prefer this one BIG time. Must buy for me...

Before the very first Bay movie came out and a live-action Transformers movie was still in the rumor stage, this is what I kind of assumed ALL the movie designs would be like. It has a lot more detail and little mechanical dohickeys than the old, blocky G1 designs, but it still has a hint of that old-school style. It definitely has more in common with G1 than all the other movie-verse designs, which tend to be more like insects, blobs of unidentifiable metal, and weird appendages sticking out all over. I mean, Bumblebee barely even has a recognizable face, and he's one of the few bots to get any screen time.

Do we know if this guy's even in the next movie?

Wow...I'm really the oddball of the website with this DOTM line.

Honestly, he gets ulgier every time I see him. I can't bring myself to buy this thing. Yet, I think almost every other figure I've seen in the main MechTech line (which is excluding Human Alliance) is a must-buy for me. This is the only MechTech series figure that I definitely do NOT want.

I'd like to see this repainted into Springer......

looking pretty sweet. If I pick this up, it will be Whirl in my collection.

I too thought what we all saw before was the final cut on this TF. But now he will be one of the very few movie TF I own...'nuff said!

i mean does it make me gay that i want to make sweet love to this guy. besides sentinel prime, megatron and shockwave im totally getting this dude. wow he is amazing to behold. and he seriously has awesome articulation points. he reminds me of generations mirage a bit just with the posabilty. cant wait for him!!!

Honestly, I haven't considered buying Skyhammer until now. But after seeing these pics, he's definitely on my to-buy list. Good proportions in both modes, no annoying kibble...definitely worth the money.

and I like the mold style, somewhere between movie and classics. (having hands and a face among other things)

As an aside, something I've been meaning to ask around on for a bit, where's a good place to buy little stands like that online?

Folding the rotors back from his chest is pure brilliance on the part of the designers. It's something new and it works so damn good.

It's hard to find anything to complain about with this guy, but I don't like his feet.

Other than that, i'd put this up there with one of the best figures from all three movie lines.

I'm not sure if it's really this, since I equally love the classics (although I only started collecting recently). I just don't like Skyhammer, and I don't like the look of Tomahawk either. I don't know why, but I just do.

Holy heck, a Mech Tech weapon that doesn't look hideously oversized compared to the figure! Maybe a little fat, but it looks like a large rifle or cannon instead of being the comparitive size of his own arm

Though he looks plenty well armed even without it with those arm barrels and smaller pods, and I love the very unique style of his rotor placement in robot mode.

Definately one of the few DOTM figures I'm fully sold on getting.

for some odd reason his face sculpt reminds me of Tigertron.

Man! i hope this is Hasbro's version, loving the grey/silver painted head instead of the white looking Ultra Magnus head! Either way, I'm won with this guy!

Easily the best figure to come out of DOTM. According to the comments, looks like everybody will be getting this guy. For all the crappy figures we've seen so far, it almost looks like Hasbro took any of the good parts of the previous figures, making the previous figures totally such, and Skyhammer ultimately awesome.

I still say Skyhammer, Shockwave and Megatron will be DOTM most wanted voyager class figures. I'm not even interested in Deluxe or Leader Class movie figures, the 3 I mentioned above will do, until RTS, Genline and United comes back from it hiatus trip when the movie fandom is over.

Reasons why:

Skyhammer: unique design, the idea of having his rotor blades fold back like that is pure win and the engineers have their head on straight, not up their A$$ when designing something like this and perfect balance between robot and alt mode.

Shockwave: G1 looking in bot mode and some G1 aesthetics there, but alt mode is OK-ish, but how many people is going to keep or display DOTM Shockwave in his horrible alien tank mode? huh really? not me.

Megatron: This Megatron is different and its nice seeing him in a different alt mode, beside the cybertronian space craft and or tank mode was getting weak with me and Megatron using the old rusty fuel truck from the military is an awesome idea i think and he just looks cool. Again its my opinion about this and these will be the only 3 ill buy from this line.

Really sweet. He moves from my 'considering to buy' to the 'buy on sight' list.

Skyhammer, Shockwave and Sentinel Prime are probably the only figures from this line I'll get.

I'm loving the shite outta this figure. So far I'm mostely sold on the Votagers save Prime and Ironhide.

i like---can do without the oversized weapons...on all of the DOTM. none of mine will have them in display mode. stupid...like clear, see through 'bots. oh...wait..

Very cool. It would be great if he was in the movie, but if he was, I can predict that he would have 0 minutes of screentime. Hasbro are doing well in convincing me to go against my "no film appearance, no buy" rule. I may almost get this figure.

Looks like a cross between Sideswipe and Blackout... which is just pure awesomeness.

Guys according to the poster the toy has been disassembled and repainted by him. The original colour should be as per what we have seen.
