chuckdawg1999 wrote:Hasbro must have heard the cries from the masses since these new mold Warrior Class figures feature articulation that's comparable with Deluxe Class figures. Both Starscream and Hammerbyte feature an action gimmick that's the signature of the Warrior Class line but they really don't get in the way of the basic movements of the figures. Unfortunately, the gimmicks are still a little fiddly, not as bad as before, but enough to make you pause for a moment of reflection. Ultimately these are good, not great figures.

His body just felt too...angular? It just didn't convince me that he was a "transformer" so to speak, not quite sure how to explain it.
Love the character himself in the show and like his head design.
The only Seekers I really liked in the show, design wise, were Slipstream and Thundercracker. I wasn't really a fan of how the rest turned out.
And this seems to be the only seeker toy that really came out good, expect maybe Slipstream, but i never saw her in person to judge properly

I suppose the colors were hit or miss, by design I meant the body shape that the rest of the Seekers used and not necessarily the colors.
I was just glad to have gotten so many Seekers in the show since it's been a long time with their last major appearance being in Animated (I know Dreadwing in Prime is said to be a Seeker and presumably Skyquake was as well but they were new characters which was fine but you know)
Glad to have gotten some first screen appearances from characters like Acid Storm and Nova Storm, Cyberverse was great with the amount of cast they had.

Personally, I loved the Black, Green and Blue seeker that we had previously dubbed Changeling/Changewing

Until I get Whirl (I've seen he is really good too), he is the definitive 1-step for me, he's just that good. You should pick one up, he is ridiculously fun!

I would gladly take more and army build, he is a really good mold.
I'm actually very happy with my current Cyberverse collection, and with what it will eventually look like. I kinda regret passing on the Scout Shadowstriker and Ultra Slipstream, I did like both of them in the show, but never really could commit to them, and still might try to get them eventually. Season 3 was just so good, and it feels good to have or be getting some of the characters from that parts of the show.

I get the feeling that Hasbro made the toys first and that Boulder Media simply worked them into the third season by crafting stories around them a la the old days of the pre-2007 era.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Season 3 was just so good, and it feels good to have or be getting some of the characters from that parts of the show.

Makes me sad that we are not getting a Cyberverse Perceptor. and it makes me eager to see Iaconus and Skullcruncher. And to get Maccadam, Rack n' Ruin, Whirl, Hammerbyte, Wild Wheel, Meteorfire, and the deluxes.

Now I've seen plenty of people having a good ol whinge fest about them, but I don't see why. I found them to be bloody good figures. Megatron is a little on the loose side, and Optimus' plastic is transparent at some points, but other than that, they're solid figures.
I like that there seems to be more pieces to lock in together making the alt modes solid. They also seem to have a good range of poseability.
Good figures, bring on the rest so I can finish off ol Macca.

Rack n' Ruin was a comic original character from the Marvel G1 comics, where they served as members of the Wreckers, and much like their buddy Impactor, they made quite an impact with readers of the day. they briefly showed up in the IDW comics, but until Cyberverse, that was about the limit of their fictional appearances, with no toys either.
But then Cyberverse happened, where Rack n' Ruin became show characters and proved to be quite fun in the show. And with their show appearance, they have finally been granted a toy in the form of this Ultra Class figure, which is quite posable for the size class, much like Clobber, and is available for $19.99. You can pick it up at the above link, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

No problem, reads fine now. You're doing a fantastic job.

Hammerbyte is a really cool warrior. The transformation is actually quite intuitive, and the shark mode is really cool. Except for no head movement, he is really good!
Rack n' Ruin is also a joy. The comments for him are similar to Hammerbyte, with the lack of any head movement being any sort of detriment. But they are really cool and the alt mode is nice too.
They are both fun!

In the mean time, I'm still trying to comprehend the line up of the Hasbro side. Too many Size Classes with too many repeat characters

The next two components will be coming out in wave 2 which consists of Grimlock and Hot Rod and there will be a third wave with Arcee and Thunderhowl.

I've only gotten the build-a-bot figures because all the others were just a little too simplified for my tastes.
The build-a-bot figures though are good figures, more suited for a more mature (for lack of a better description) collection, plus you get the awesomeness that is Maccadam.

Agreed with this, the parts spread wasn't very good, you gotta hold onto a forearm for like 8 months and another for 4 months

Let's start with Grimlock. He is a solid and fun figure, with a nice tail transformation, and a certain style about his robot mode that is super cool. But he feels, I don't know, stunted? I have the Ultimate figure, and I actually prefer him to the new deluxe. Posing isn't too much better, and he is so much smaller. The ultimate feels like the far better deal. But the deluxe isn't bad, just not quite to par. I would say he's the 2nd best deluxe of the line.
And then there's Hot Rod. Gosh they did him dirty. He needed so much more paint, it's embarrassing how bland he is, He needed so much more yellow. The flame effects are about the only thing that don't suffer from the lack of paint, and are about the coolest thing about him. The transformation is also underwhelming, 2nd only to Shockwave in terms of being lame. Car mode is cool, but again, paint. He is the first figure in a while where I feel the figure is pretty awful paint wise. It's bad, and it pulls him down really far.
Bee easily remains the best deluxe of the line so far. And at least Maccadam can stand on his own 2 legs. I really want the biceps now

That's probably why she's got the most pictures.

Just got the build-a-figure Rodimus to go in my Hot Rod collection. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a nice, solid figure. Although one of the legs isn't very stable after one transformation and it suffers from a lack of paint apps.

Mindmaster wrote:Wild Wheel, while kinda cheap looking, looks nice, and I appreciate his stetson being removable. Probably be the only one I get, and I’d kill for a dark blue, 19th-century US Army Cavalry themed redeco. Still curious how the armor thing works. I know it’s voice activated but how does it pop out?
You may not want to hear this, but the spring-loaded armor is only on the bigger Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, with the rest simply being attached (look at the fins on the shoulders). According to the box, the lights on the figures and sounds on the bigger Prime and 'Bee are voice-activated, but the armors are not. It's possible there are different sounds depending on whether the armor is deployed or not (like a button being kept pressed), but I can't find any clues to that.

Well that makes a lot more sense. Not really disappointed, still wanting Wild Wheel, don’t plan on anyone else (unless they do Decepticons that haven’t gotten figures yet).
Also, forgot about Meteorfire. Robot mode ain’t bad, but Jesus Christ that jet mode is less aerial dynamic than friggin’ Devastator.

I shouldn't complain too much, still infinitely better treatment than a ton of RiD's characters! Never getting a good Saberhorn, are we
