Meanwhile, Blurr's looking less inspired by his 1980s G1 design and more his IDW G1 design (his head, especially).
As for the bios...
Bumblebee is sure taking his amnesia well. He seems all too chipper and optimistic about getting his memories back, and has some inkling about some kind of "epic powers" he might possess and unlock.
Optimus Prime is Optimus Prime. That is all.
Windblade seems to draw most from her RID 2015 personality, being described as "super cool", able to take on the Seekers by herself, and full of determination.
Whoa, Grimlock's a whole new take, entirely! While being all typically strong and smashy in T-Rex mode, robot mode for him is a whole different case. He's described as "one of the smartest, smoothest talking bots around", and Bee considers him a very reliable pal who "always looks out for his friends". I could kinda dig a "cool guy" Grimlock.
Wheeljack's pretty much just his traditional inventor self.
Ratchet's kind of a popular dude in this version. He's so good at being a doctor that "every bot in the galaxy wants him as their medical officer." No signs of his traditional grumpiness either.
Hot Rod's now all about danger and showing off. Always up for a race, but a bit of a sore loser if he doesn't win. But he's also one of Bee's favorite people.
Prowl's a stick-in-the-mud who's all into rules and regulations and needs Bee to teach him how to have fun. Whatever.
Blurr is fast and talks fast. And Bee had to take a deep breath when imitating his way of speaking. Because robots breathe, I guess.
Megatron is a no good evil bad guy who used to be friends with Optimus.
Thundercracker is Animated Thundercracker. Vainglorious and all muscle.
This version of Starscream is a little Swindle-ish this time. He'd sell each of his teammates out if given the opportunity, but for power instead of profit.
Shadow Striker is mean and spitefully insulting to everyone and wants to destroy for Earth for some reason.
Shockwave continues the tradition established by Dreamwave of his being a scientist, but now with the creep factor upped a bit.
Slipstream's got some good qualities to her, being a capable strategist and showing leadership potential. Nothing's said if she has any actual leadership ambitions, though. Her only mentioned intent is, like Shadow Striker, to destroy planet Earth.
Soundwave's a master spy who listens in on the Autobots by "messing with [their] electrical impulses, or something along this evil lines."
Acid Storm's bio claims that Starscream is the Seeker leader in contrast to the previous news we were told about Slipstream being their leader. As for Acid Storm himself, he can control the weather to produce "toxic rain" and is kind of a stalker to Bee and his friends, always chasing them around.

I thought it seemed more G1-Bio-Inspired. With him being a basic Seeker warrior and arrogant because he can fly.

Starscream and Hotrod also look gurly.
The rest look awesome! (Shockwave especially)

He was grumpy in prime, less grumpy in RiD 15 so maybe this is the evolution of his character? I can't remember if this was going to be a sequel or not (It doesn't look like it) but I for one am kinda glad to see Ratchet as a friendly character. It's good to see a fav character more happy - especially one that has had to deal with some rough stuff. Of course we won't know until the show airs for sure. He could be his grumpy ol' self and that would be fine with me. Just please please please be voiced by Jeffery Combs!

I am digging the designs and bios. I'm really glad Thundercracker made the cut, but poor Skywarp!
I wish we did get some better toys of these designs, they are quite cool. I'm drawn to Jackie with all the tech detailing and seeming body mods, Hot Rod is pretty sweet, Shockwave and Soundwave both look angry and awesome, and Grimlock is my Grimlock!

Yeah I suppose you are right. Seems most people dislike his new look but I think it's pretty funny. I mean he does have the personality to try some kind of weird look with his facial plating. Either way we could give him a flannel shirt and call him "Lumberjack".
Overall I think I like some of these new designs more than I did originally. Yeah I think Bumblebee ans Windblade look odd but the rest look pretty cool. Especially the Decepticons. I think the thousand yard stare doesn't look so bad on characters that are supposed to be villains.
Ratchet, Grimlock and Prowl all look really good to me. Blurr, Rodimus and Wheeljack look sort of funny but I think it suits them anyways. My main concern is the story and the characterization. I did not like the art style for TFA when I first saw it but it grew on me when I watched the show. So if they make up for some of the characters looking odd with great story I am all for it. I did not like the same old stuff happening over and over in RiD.
What I want is for them to write something like TFP but improve on that formula. The character development and seriousness was great. If we could have something that took those elements and left out the plot holes, rushed parts (I know that was caused by budget issues and the hub shutting down but a little planning may have prevented this) and maybe lightened up just slightly. While I was into the tone of the show I know that it went from serious to dark at times. Which I personally like sometimes but I know that scares some kids and parents away so maybe it's better left to the comics to be dark.

ok my apologies, that was one of those *too long didn't watch* things since all I would have wanted to know was about the WFC toyline, and the Cyberverse Animated Series...sad to say, both are kind of let downs this year.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the animation, but that's my opinion for all the series in the 21st century except for Car Robots and Prime. I still abhor the animation of TFA, as well liked as it is by the fandom overall. The exceptional writing did eventually win me over, but sometimes (no joke), I prefer to just listen to it with my eyes closed and imagine a better look for it.
As for this new show, I'm pretty sure It's not for me. I'll try to be as objective as I can, but usually my instincts on these things is pretty accurate, for me at least.

The clip shows Windblade talking to Bumblebee, asking about his memory. The yellow bot cannot remember anything other than being able to do doughnuts. It's worth pointing out that apparently at this point, he can only talk through his radio, like in previous incarnations of the character, most notably his live action movie counterpart. With Windblade getting no further answers out of bee, Thundercracker attacks and looks to over power Windblade till Bumblebee steps in...

So, this isnt the worst thing I've ever seen.
I appreciate the designs and the general aesthetic they're going for with the robots, and I like the sort of cell shaded CG visual mixture. It's done WAY better here than it was in Rid.
The combat and animation could use some time to develop but the choreography isnt terrible. I especially like the use of dynamic angles and the fact that you can actually see the hits connecting. There are a few flashy coverups for punches and kicks here, but for the most part it's just a fight animated between two giant killer robots.
I also like the little creative touches, like the retractable wings, as others have mentioned.
I like the expressive faces, although they weirdly kinda remind me of that old movie, Robots...not sure why.
Now, for the things I didn't like.
uuuugh...the dialogue. So, Windblade is the only character who really speaks. She's like a teacher or a mother scolding an annoying child, and that's because Bumblebee IS an annoying child here. I thought we were over the whole radio bit, but I guess not....And it's not even really convincing either. It's just Wreck-Gar but less funny. As for Windblade, her lines seem underdelivered, like she isnt trying. Almost like these were her first takes or something. She's just sort of a generic tough girl character, and considering they basically showed her getting her aft kicked, that's not saying a lot.
As for the seeker...no lines. Generic grunts, and that's it.
Also something to note, he had the perfect chance to kill Windblade but instead went after bumblebee. It would have been much more decepticon-like had he tried to take that chance to kill her whle she was down. They could have had Bumblebee save her somehow, making him show a bit of initiative instead of just being annoying and winning via perceived deus ex machina.
All in all im not exactly excited for this. I'll keep an eye on it in case it gets better, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. If children latch onto it, good for them, but all I personally see here is some potential that can very easily be squandered, and if I'm being completely honest, probably will be.

Your signature doesn't just violate our signature guidelines (which you can read in the rules), it basically gives the middle finger to it.
This is the second time I've brought this up with you. If I find it's not fixed, I won't be mentioning a third time, you just get a personalised signature from me.

I do have one other thing to think:
Many shows over recent years have made a comeback; Will and Grace, Arrested Development, Young Justice, even Teen Titans appears to be getting a new season.
This seems to set a precedent so let us all think for a second, what Transformers Animated series would a lot of people like back?
If we can sit through this one then perhaps our prayers will be answered, and we know that, much like Waspinator, they had plans...
