You'll wait til next year? I admire your self discipline SS. Just waiting for the end of June to mid July for my UW-Superion is murder to me.

Or is that what they want us to believe? dun, Dun, DUN!

Did anyone else notice that Onslaught's alt mode is backwards to Hotspot's

Well, Vortex is just a repaint, but one I think we were all expecting and so I'm not bothered by it.
And Blast Off is also just a repaint, and frankly a (in my opinion) rather lazy one at that.
But the other three? Yes! I mean, I figured Onslaught would be a bit remolded to give him different heads and replace the ladder with the artillery cannons. But Hasbro went above and beyond here. And Swindle is hardly recognizable as Rook. And an all new mold for Brawl? Awesome looking Brawl!
So yeah, disappointed in Blast Off. But overall, a great looking team and gestalt!

Yeah, that was noticed pretty quickly. Don't let that dampen your enthusiasm, though! It was a great design choice!

Yeah now that you mention it the blast off repaint is a bit lazy considering the head is Quickslinger's. But the Swindle retool is pretty awesome along with the new Brawl mold.
I reckon it's cool they turned Hotspot's whole Alt mode around so the back now becomes the front for Onslaught. The only other thing I am wondering is the artillery cannons on a turret or are they just facing forward?

Wish he could separate. Don't think he needed to be a combiner torso. But he is still awesome and I will have him! (And he's not a retool of Silverbolt... )

I'm in a similar boat...
Although I am going to get Hotspot because I think he looks like an outstanding figure.
I've pumped the brakes on Superion, Optimus, as well as the Leader and Legends class figures. I'm going to pass on every deluxe Autobot except Trailbreaker (because I don't have one; but I will be comparing him to the previous Generations version before deciding).
I'm focusing on getting the Decepticon combiner teams, so waiting for the Combaticons will be a little difficult, but not because waiting will increase any sort of temptation for these other figures.
I'm really happy with how the Combaticons look. From what I can see so far, I don't think I'll need the Unite Warriors version... I will say I wish Bruticus's head was a lighter gray, but I may be okay with that.
What do you all think about the new Autobot deluxe figures??

Ah. "What do you think of the new Sky Lynx?" is a rather vague question to ask if you had such a specific inquiry in mind. As for an answer, I don't think anyone can say yet, beyond sometime in 2016 for the U.S., and, sadly, "Who the heck knows?" for Europe.

I only don't like him as a space shuttle because it never made sense to me amongst all the vehicles picked as alt modes. I mean, an AA truck? Tough as nails, long range cannons, armored. Army jeep/hummer? Rugged, armored, almost immortal (if it's a jeep), durable, fast. Combat helicopter? Fast, loaded with weapons, armored, maneuverable. Tank? It's a tank, it's inherently badass and freaking invincible. Space Shuttle? Extremely delicate controls, runs risk of not working, NOT built for combat, doesn't carry weapons, fast in a straight line, not very tough against unnatural factors.
I don't know, and I'm not trying to start a argument, I'm just saying that a space shuttle amongst the other vehicles that the Combaticons have chosen doesn't make much sense. I mean you got long range combat (Onslaught), durable and fast scout (Swindle), unstoppable armored cannon (Brawl), fast and agile killing machine (Vortex), and high altitude/space vehicle which in real life could not likely be used in a violent situation (Blast Off). Having him as jet frankly makes this set perfect in my opinion.
I would've liked Blast Off to be a shuttle since that was the original alt mode for him.
But I agree, this change doesn't really bother me that much, and a jet makes a lot more sense for this team anyway.
Not to mention, any time I have them separated from Bruticus (which won't be often), they'll be in bot mode, and he looks pretty spot-on.
And I have to throw it out there like others did-- What a cool new mold for Brawl!!!!
I know it would be great if every character received a distinctly brand-new mold, but overall
Hasbro is doing a bang-up job with this line.

Don't feel too bad-- I live almost literally in the middle of the states,

But I think there is definitely a chance of this. Makes a lot of sense.

You did just start out by asking what was thought of the new Sky Lynx.
Then in the very next post I said what I thought of it.
Then the very next post after that was the one where you changed your question to asking when it would come out.
So, unless there are somehow two forum members here named Stuartmaximus, how exactly did I misinterpret what you were asking?
And with me being the only poster between the post where you asked what we thought of Sky Lynx, and you changing your question to asking when we thought it would come out, who else exactly is it that did reply to you answering the question you say you intended to ask in the first place? Am I missing something somewhere?

I think they have done a phenomenal job with almost all of the head sculpts in this line, and most of the molds overall.
There are literally only a couple deluxe figures' heads that I at all question.
I also think it's great that with this line my perspective has been changed;
I'm not anticipating news of future Hasbro products with a "how-will-they-screw-this-up" attitude.
Personally, I haven't been this excited for Hasbro TF toys in almost 7 years.

True, with the (self-)imposed limitations (making 24 toys out of a mere 11 basic design schemes) they've done pretty well for the first years. Hopefully the second year will be just as good, we still have 2 more teams to see

& where exactly in the rules of Seibertron.com does it say HOW I'm supposed to phrase a question? let alone change questions during! as long as it's about the subject matter(CW's) then I'm perfectly within my rights to phrase it how I like(within reason of course....no foul language) + if it were you that answered my previous question(about the what do you think of Sky Lynx) then why not bring your problem with my vagueness of the question THEN! instead of later! + who are you to dictate to me how I phrase &/or change my questions? + your the only one that has a problem with it & complaining! as far as I can see.
If you don't like how I phrase things....or how I change questions during a thread....then there's always the block button! &/or plenty of other people on here that you can comment on.

It doesn't say that anywhere. But by that logic, since you are bring up the rules of Seibertron.com for some reason, can you show me where it says that if someone asks one question, I answer it to the best of my ability, then that person changes their question, and claims that I must have been incorrectly responding to something else when I was clearly replying to their original question, and tries to back that up by saying someone else obviously understood what they meant when they said what they didn't say, even though there were no posts by anyone else in the meantime... where in the rules does it say I am not allowed to express confusion over that?
Eh, it seems even more confusing when I try to make any sense of it. Well then... you know what? You have made one good suggestion, re: that block button. Not an option I like to resort to often, but I think I shall now. Thanks!
Hey, Tsutsukakushi! You're off the block list. I only like to have one at a time there, and I've been meaning to take you off for months now, anyway. (Honestly, don't even recall why you'd been there in the first place, and you do say a lot of stuff worth interest as of late...)

Yeah, I mentioned it in the CW thread that there was a distinct whiff of Liokaiser lingering around the head sculpt; and while it may be a love letter to the original toys puma head, it pulls double duty as Liokaiser fodder. In fact if painted as the buggy and jet combined you could make a liokaiser by the end of next year (assuming the drill technobot is released)

Something tell me that's the concept art for the original G1 figure from Victory, as some details don't match up, like Jallguar as a leg. It's no real indication of a planned figure for CW or UW.

Blaster's design makes me think they'll be more like playsets than action figures, which would also be very cool.

That concept art is from 25 years ago and it was uncovered in the early 00's, nothing new here.
Aside from all this, something tells me that Skylynx and Hungar will use the same mold. I highly doubt Skylynx will be a mold only used once, that seems to go against Hasbro's current business model for Combiner Wars.
And Jelze, when you say there are 2 combiner teams left do you mean Abominus and Computron?

What I mean is if we're getting 4 teams for 2016 as well, we already have 2: Bruticus and Sky Reign. Excluding Victorion, that leaves 2 slots to fill however.

What I mean is if we're getting 4 teams for 2016 as well, we already have 2: Bruticus and Sky Reign. Excluding Victorion, that leaves 2 slots to fill however.
Why are you assuming Victorion wont be release like the others? Afterall, our only predecessor, Windblade, was sold at retail as part of a wave like any other release.

I heard talks about Victorion being released as a set, like Unite Warriors. I'm not really taking that as gospel, but without any confirmation coming out of BotCon, I'm keeping that possibility open until SDCC, and won't list her as a confirmed part of the main line just yet.
