You can see the images below, showing the likes of Barricade, Optimus Prime, the various Bumblebees, Hot Rod (and some additional early Studio Series and Cyberverse figures too). The prices seem to range around the 15 to 30 euro per figure (approx 17 USD and 35 USD at the time of writing, respectively). If you come across these or any other new sightings, make sure to let us know, and to use the Sightings Database located right [url/sightings/index.php]here[/url]!

Garboil would have fit the "blue" theme of Frenzy and Howlback, at least. Plus, Howlback and Garboil were packed together originally. If that's too much blue, there's always Sundor too. Yes, he's labeled as an Autobot, but he's also (sometimes?) a Decepticon double agent.
I'm thinking of using this one as Buzzsaw since he kinda matches Laserbeak layout wise and repurposing the original one as Sundor since he's so bright.

I think it's not just because of all the blue in the box, but also because Buzzsaw has two fairly distinct color schemes (if you ignore RIBFIR) between yellow and gold so I guess it was their best shot.

Sundor/Sunder would have stuck out like a sore thumb in that (neon) orange, really. Gold is closer to Bumblebee's yellow so in the end you'd end up with a fairly dual-color set.

Emerje wrote:My tiny Speed Series Optimus Prime came in the mail today from HTS in a box big enough to fit a Voyager with lots of room to spare. It isn't very good. I wasn't expecting knees, but I was expecting ball jointed shoulders since there's more than enough room for them and they've been a staple in figures this size for many years now, even Titan/Prime Masters have them. But no, his shoulders are just a simple swivel. He does have ball jointed elbows, but they don't offer much range. He also has ball jointed hips, but without knees they aren't really useful for articulation, just for the transformation. Bafflingly he does have an ab joint that doesn't serve any real purpose. It's used to give him a slight bend for his transformation to give clearance for his hips, but that could have been easily fixed by shaving down some of his sculpted details. The cost of the extra plastic and metal pin could have gone to knee joints or more paint. Interestingly all of his wheels are held on with big metal rivets rather than pegged on like has been popular lately. And he has six wheels even though it's pretty common for a figure this small to have a pair of fake wheels and I honestly wouldn't have minded. The whole figure just screams of miss-managed resources.

I had the exact same experience - bought all 4 Speed Series guys and Optimus was the worst of the group (I'd call Barricase the best, personally). If they'd just given him ball shoulders and swivel elbows instead of the other way around he'd be significantly better.
Just put in an Amazon order for MP VW Bee too. I already have an order with HLJ but I usually get backup preorders for things I really want from somewhere easy to cancel (Amazon, BBTS) in case something goes wrong with another order. Especially AmiAmi stuff, I just got in an order for Figuarts Super Buu the other day and accidentally ordered 3 because the pages were loading slowly and for some reason the "change quantity" button had disappeared. It's terrifying asking them to cancel anything because they're so prone to closing accounts for it.

That sounds about right. I don't meant to sound like I return a lot to them, but I do return things regularly. I also make an absurd amount of purchases from Amazon with Transformers and household items and things for my 2 kids, so it's just part the nature of the beast. They have always taken great care of me and I am happy to support Amazon! If you've had trouble with them, would love to help you figure out some of the issues you've had to make your experience with them more positive. I'm also wondering if those of you who have had trouble whether or not you are Amazon Prime members or not?

Question: Will the Bumblebee movie get a decent Generations toyline? Of about 8 figures?
Or are they only going to be in the Studio series?
I would love some Power of the Primes like Bumblebee toys, not too complex and all.

Studio Series is already part of the umbrella Generations line, so that's where those toys have already ended up: VW Bumblebee should already be out and helicopter mode Dropkick will come out later. Nothing on Shatter yet.

Fellow Seibertronian TFA1024 has shared his video review of the set - which includes redecos of a Bumblebee Turbo Changer figure from The Last Knight and three cassettes which all use molds from the previous Titans Return line for Buzzsaw, Howlback, and Decepticon Frenzy - and we've embedded the clip below for all to see. Check it out, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

The images mirrored below contain a second look at Shatter in her jet and muscle car mode, in a size class different than the Titan Changer, but also potential confirmation that Blitzwing is indeed a triple changer, as we see him in here in a Megatron-esque tank mode! Plus, some more Optimus Prime, because why not. Check out the images below!

That Optimus Prime is a repaint of the power plus figure without the engine. Blitzwing is the previously released Megatron with a new head. I doubt that's how it'll look in the movie.

I think it has to do with licensed vehicles being used. Rough example, if you were Ford would you want your car to change into a Chevy?

Interesting answer. That's probably why we haven't got a triplechanging AOE Drift yet. I agree with you that licensing could be an issue here, but would Dodge be willing to let their car turn into a jet too? Hmmm

ciano wrote:Boy, that MP BUmblebee is NOT a Masterpiece figure. So much kibble. And the movie's not even out yet! You see those door wings? The director convinced the corporate overlords to ditch the door wings pretty late into production, so you know this toy was already engineered by the time Bumblebee's design was changed. This seems more cash-grab than Masterpiece to me. I look forward to the inevitable "real" Masterpiece figure that they'll make in 2 or 3 years.
To be fair it does take about 1-2 years to develop the toy, and isn't all transformers a cash grab? I mean when you really get into it?

ZeroWolf wrote:To be fair it does take about 1-2 years to develop the toy, and isn't all transformers a cash grab? I mean when you really get into it?
Totally, but I also see this cash grab as an art form. I just think it's bad form to design a figure for your highest-end market based on designs that aren't final, with compromises uncommon to the rest of the line. Like, it looks like a fun toy, but I don't think it should say Masterpiece on the box or cost $80.00 necessarily. I mean, it's going to do both, but I just think it cheapens the Masterpiece brand is all. I see it as very similar to a situation that got the Lego community in a huff a few years ago; they released a children's play set in an "Ultimate Collector's Series" line, and fans cried foul because they felt like the company was trying to trick them. This is like that. Ultimately, no one gets hurt, but there's this feeling that they should have done better.

That is very fair and I do understand where you're coming from the people in charge probably thought it best to strike while the iron was hot and that wings motif helped invoke that this bee was supposed to be the same as in the 2007, so didn't anticipate that Travis would suggest they go. Things never worked that way but they likely don't care, another chance to sell a toy!

What's really a hoot is that motorized Energon core! It's fun with Barricde, but stick it on the back of one of the Legends-sized figs, and they just get up and GO! Hilarious!

There's like 4 different Energon Igniters VW Bumblebees. Care to be a bit more specific?
FWIW, I think its the Energon Igniters Nitro Bumblebee.
Since the other's don't have the fender shoulder pads.

It's indeed the Nitro one, the largest one that comes with a Core. Just for convenience, the sizes from small to large:
Speed (Legion-size)
Power (without Core) / Power Plus (with Core) (Scout/Deluxe-size)
Nitro (Voyager-size)
