Two older G.I. Joe and Transformers series will be making their way to The Hub starting this July.
The 26-episode anime series G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 will join The Hub on Monday, July 9 at 4:30 p.m. ET. The series aired on 4Kids TV (on FOX) in the U.S. from 2005-06.

Also joining The Hub on Monday, July 9 is Transformers: Animated airing at 5:30 p.m. ET. This animated series aired on Cartoon Network from 2007-09 and had 42 episodes.

That's what I'm thinking too. From my understanding some kind of rights deal with Cartoon Network kept them from releasing it, but if they're going to air it on their own station that might mean they reached some sort of compromise.

They may have skipped it (and Beast Machines) due to it being so drastically different from what Hasbro is marketing as "Transformers" these days. Though, they did put all of Beast Wars on Netflix.Dr. Heavy B wrote:Hey, wheres beast wars? Nothing against animated, but beast wars was WAAAAAY better.
Not sure I'd put G1 up with the like of those (Prime's posible, though). G1 felt a bit a little more average, so it'd fit better near the middle of the scale between Beast Wars at the top and Energon at the bottom.Slashercon wrote: I am so happy right now!!!! Now if you just add Beast Wars to the Hub, and we got our BIG FOUR RIGHT THERE!! (G1, Beast Wars, TFA, and TFP FTW!!!)
It's ranked at #2 for me.Lord Onixprime wrote:This is great! Maybe this will lead to a full release by Shout! at some point in the future as well. I'd love to own this series. Top 3 out of all Transformers series.

Can't decide if it or Prime ranks #2 on my list, so I just put it in the top 3

I'm a little surprised this didn't happen.
I would love to have a TFA ongoing comic, there is a lot more story they could tell in that universe.

As for Beast Wars, that series is total crap. I started watching it on Netflix and was only able to sit thru 3 episodes and the one with starscream. Horrible animation, boring environment, the fact that in robot animal form they were safer than in robot form... stupid. BW is easily the worst of all the TF series.

Beast Wars doesn't start to get good until season two. Season one has a completely different tone that the rest of the series. The animation also gets much better as the show goes on, the early stuff looks absolutely primitive compared to what they were able to pull off in season 3. If you're having a hard time watching it than I recommend that you skip most of season 1, just watch the first couple episodes, and the last couple, and go straight into season 2.

Why? This break of Prime episodes is no different than those other long breaks we got during season 1. When some episodes aired in Canada ahead of time by accident, we still didn't know what they were called until later.YRQRM0 wrote:Somehow I feel like this is bad news for Prime, like something's wrong (which is why a new episode hasn't been announced.)
The difference between Prime and other shows that get canceled after a season or two is that Prime has long lasting staying power, and that it doesn't have to worry about about certain factors that normally get shows canceled that quickly. Hasbro put a ton of investment into Prime, and they're going to go through with it. Season 3 has been in production for a good while now, and rest of season 2 is on the horizon.
