There are some toys that are shown listed, but with no pictures as yet, including but not limited to, the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee glasses, and some additional adult costumes.
The costumes range from your typical kid Halloween costumes, (there are classic, muscle, classic and deluxe version of each, along with a light up/motion activated Bumblebee costume,) to 3D theatrical adult costumes. There are also a few costume toys, like the Optimus Sword (aka Sword of Judgement,) Bumblebee Arm Cannon, Optimus Shield (aka Sentinel Shield,) and Bumblebee's shield. There are also more..."adult" offerings, like an Optimus Prime bustier for your favorite lady Transformers fan, or the Optimus Prime or Bumblebee body suit. In case you're trying to picture a Transformers body suit right now, don't worry. It looks pretty much like you would imagine a Transformers body suit to look. But don't just wonder, take a look at the pictures below, and see the entire list from the Disguise website underneath the pictures.

For better or for worse, does the target group for whom it is intended actually exist in numbers large enough to be worth producing this terrifying garment?
Hopefully not; most costumes never sell out, even when left to rot at 75% off.

Yeah, if we're going to do "adult" outfits for AoE, where's the one of Scorn with his tail in that...um...position we saw at Toy Fair?
I also agree with SFX Prime. Making it an Optimus bustier reenforces the odd logic that it's somehow natural to have female versions of male superheroes and other cartoon characters, but having male versions of female characters is some sort of assault on our cultural gender identity (some hilarious reactions to SheZow being the best recent example).
Or would fans be more upset at an Arcee or Windblade bustier?

Someone at Has/Tak clearly must have asked himself "How many young boys growing up in the 80's secretly wanted to sleep with Optimus Prime? No, not WITH Optimus but WITH Optimus." Apparently, the number of affirmative responses must have been a rather high, meaning the majority on that board of overseers thought this was a GOOD idea.
OK, so what of it? Well, because you've got a PhD in Transformerology, this sexy woman (who is dressed, essentially, as a male robot) naturally finds you irresistibly sexy and as a result, the two of you begin to make passionate love. That surely must be what Has/Tak were leading to, doesn't it?
What I don't quite understand is how one is supposed to ... erm... engage with a famously masculine figure of childhood authority in such an intimate way, who happens to also be a machine... AND MALE. Did I mention MALE?
What, does she talk dirty to get you in the mood? She puts on her best Optimus Prime voice, telling your limp member to "transform and burn rubber?" or "take it out of neutral and back it in through the tailpipe." There are so many reasons why this is wrong... Or maybe I just need to get my mind out of the gutter.
What I don't get is how this is supposed to help Has/Tak sell more toys (which, I foolishly thought, was always going to remain their biggest priority).

"To make money" is the point of these, which itself is the one priority higher than "to sell toys" (even though the latter is the primary means through which they do the former).MegaDump wrote:What I don't get is how this is supposed to help Has/Tak sell more toys (which, I foolishly thought, was always going to remain their biggest priority).

IMO merchandise like this doesn't count as Stinger.

Probably less than they "can't" and more like they "don't wanna".Rated X wrote:So they can redeco a stupid halloween costume but cant redeco the damn figure ? Lame...

Probably. However at this rate more movie deluxes might not happen. We can't assume they even made Stinger tooling. They might just consider the retooling possibility a pleasant bonus. However Bumblebee's lack of vehicle parts on him probably would've made him a shellformer anyway.

At the Hasbro Booth at this year's BotCon, one of the Hasbro guys said that they had started workeing on a prototype of Stinger retooled from Bumblebee, but it wasn't completed.welcometothedarksyde wrote:mirageandjazz1197 wrote:The deluxe 2014 Bumblebee is a shell former so i believe the plan is(was) to reshell the Camaro parts with Pagani parts and redeco the rest red and possibly give him a new head.
