"Transformers 3″ is currently casting male and female extras in the metro Detroit area. All ethnicities may apply. Extras will be needed for a shoot at the end of August. You must be 18 or older to apply.

It looks like filming in Detroit will begin in late August. Will we see some fellow Seibertronians in the next movie?

As a metro-Detroiter, it all depends which part of Detroit they film in. If they're anywhere Downtown like they were during movie 1, those parts are actually pretty nice. So be careful not to generalize the whole city; it does have its redeeming qualities.

Don't get me wrong, I love my former home city (Moved from Kalamazoo for a few years). It just saddens me how poorly D-town continues to do. I think of the beautiful view of downtown from Comerica park...then seeing how many of those buildings are actually empty shells once you walk to your parking area and look at them from behind...http://zfein.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
