September something? I'm not too sure about the exact date, but it's in that general area.

It's rumoured that Perceptor's missile isn't spring-loaded. I'm not sure if that's entirely true, I'm pretty sure someone who went to Botcon/SDCC might know a tad more information than I do.

While I don't personally have any further information on that, I will say that past G1 reissues have had their springs gutted because their missiles are too small by today's toy safety standards, Perceptor's missiles look like they're under the (I think it's) 2 inch long regulation size, so it's a safe bet they're non-firing.
That being said, depending on what price these'll be going for online, I may just have to pick one up. Perceptor's not a character I was particularly interested in until his turn for the badass in IDW's more recent stuff (say what you will about AHM, Perceptor kicked ass) and I think he'd fit in perfectly well with my classics/universe team.

Does anyone really care about this old, ugly, cheap material, brick like transformers?
Give me some new Classics/Universe ones, not this crapy ones.
I had a few when I was a kid and honestly I always felt a bite disappointed about the final product.

Unbeknownst to yourself, these G1 Reissues sell well. It's lovely for figures like these to be available for those(like myself), who were never given this opportunity to get these before. And whether it's a piece of crap, or something of the sort, is something I'd like to discover for myself. Also, you'll be getting Classics/Universe 3.0 in a good year or two.

A brick with better and more articulation than some of the previously re-issued bricks

lol, I didn't even know how to get it into microscope mode. XD

I believe it was originally found in a Canadian TRU computer for $49.99, so I'd hazard a guess that it'll be $10 cheaper down south. A bit pricey but I'll be getting it for certain.

I'd speculate $30-$35 USD and Insecticons might be $40-$45.

That's a damn sexy toy. Bricks FTW. I'm not sure if its the childhood flashbacks or the pure, blissful simplicity of them but I can't get enough.
Atleasts its clear what he transforms into, as opposed to some of the crazy crap we get now.
