The great take away from this is that Toysrus has recieved a shipment of Power of the Primes Wave 1 Deluxes and Legends. It is unknown if this first shipment only contained what was sold online or if it also contained stock for their brick and mortar stores, which would currently be on their way and possibly show up on shelves soon. So let us know if you do find these toys in Toysrus stores in the sightings section and your local sightings thread.
We thank Bucky for having reached out to let us know of these listings.

Relative scale aside I love these Dinobots. Would I prefer bigger and more intimidating scale? Sure. But these giys are fun toys.
And Slag has a great 5mm prg hole.

Windcharger only, S&H is still $6, for an $8 item. Pass.

Or it's free shipping if you order $29 worth of products, which is a great deal especially at the discounted prices.

You gotta remember Priority Mail is the lowest option they will go and even that minimum is 5 bucks. The extra dollar is packagung cost rounded up. First Class Mail is fine person to person but its not as gairenteed safe as Priority so a business wont touch it. Its also hy I o verything I can to NOT have to ship PRIORITY when I ell on Eay, when I can stuff a small Priority box into a manila bhubnle packer and come in $3 cheaper you better believe I am gonna do it.

boyatlarge wrote:I got all of the PotP deluxes and legends class figures at Target easily. For those of you who don't already know how to do this, another thread listed the DPCI codes or all of the sets at Target. Go to any Target Inventory checker sites and enter the code and your zip code and it will show you if your store has it in stock. I saw that my nearest store had the deluxes in stock and when I got there and they were not on the shelf, I found an employee, showed him the DPCI code and he went in the back and found a case and I was able to get Jazz, Slug, Swoop, and Dreadwind. I then saw that a Target about 15 miles out had the legends and did the same thing there and was able to pick up Slash, Windcharger, and Beachcomber. Anyway, for those still looking, if you can find the DPCI codes (I can't remember which thread had them listed now) and Google a Target Inventory Checker site, this may help you get your hands on the ones that have shipped to your nearest stores. Good luck.
Tried that. None of my stores had them may have gotten picked by other collectors. Got my Drluxes though when HTS had them. The Voyagers and Legends are reserved on Amazon. If I find them before the 1tth, cancelling is not hard. If I don't, thrn I am set

BBTS might be a cheaper option than either Amazon or eBay. I haven't checked recently, so I don't know for sure what these are going for in the jungle or bay.

However, saltcandyHakata on Twitter, has found an alternate configuration by playing around with Voyager Grimlock and the only two released deluxe Dinobots so far, Swoop and Slug. They have found that combiner fists can connect to the bottom of Grimlock's feet, meaning that you can extend the dino legs as smaller combiner arms and simply plug in the fists. This makes for a much less bulky combiner and fun option configuration to have while waiting for the rest of the team to complete the combiner. More than that, it shows the possibility of this combining system having a decent looking combiner made from just three robots. Road Caesar anyone?

Edit: If each dino was colored differently, it would REALLY make me think of a three-man Power Rangers team who gets two more rangers down the line to upgrade their megazord.

Its a shame because he and his whole team have truly lovely color-matching and that sweet transparent-over-gold color so iconic of the Dinobots. If not for his awful shape he could have ended one of the more visually appealing and coherent Combiners of the CW/PotP line.

The 'curse of combining Dinobots' goes way back, man. Granted now I'd love to see a customizer do a Geister combiner from the POTP Dinobot to fight a customized Hot Rod/Rodimus made to look like Exkaiser. Granted he'd need some partsforming for the lion chest and some serious head remodeling but still...

But if you strike him there, he gonna fall apart.
The best thing about this Grimlock is the dinoface -- but the G1 figure did that pretty well, and had the body to boot. His robolegs were kinda janky tho

Or am I just talking outta my ass trying to justify why Grimlock went so damn wrong?
Posted by RodimusRex on December 2nd, 2017 @ 11:20pm CST
Who was fairly short-to-average in height and had a GIANT yellow crotch/belly and even had a wide badger tail.
FoC was the "badass" Grimlock. Masterpiece was a mix of Marvel Comics and early G1 animated Grimlock, all angles and oddly balanced threat. This is S3 Grimlock to go with Kup, Wheelie, Arcee, etc. He's the chubby comic relief. Get him an apron and chef's hat or a bow tie and a platter.

THANK YOU for bringing up the Geisters, as they're based on the G1 Dinobots. I hope they're alternate heads for the Dinobots, if there are any.

The horns remind me of the ones for Engine-Oh G12 aka the RPM Ultrazord, made from the tusks of Kishamoth aka the Mammoth Paleozord. That's just me I guess.

Well, seeing as every Walmart in my are still has 4 to 6 cases of TLK wave one on the pegs, PotP might not show up. I've taliked to a couple of managers, and they have been sending transformer shipments back to distribution warehouses until what's on the pegs sells.
My area has 3 Targets, 4 Meijer, and 7 Walmart stores. Out of those, only 1 store has moved beyond TLK wave 1, and TR wave 4.
TLK was one of the worst selling toy brands they've ever seen, and may have done long lasting damage.

Then they should put them on clearance and get rid of them. I remember the "Beast Hunter" Deluxe figures from the TF Prime line. Those didn't sell either, and they wound up having to use packing tape, lashing two boxes together and selling them 2-for-1, at half price, just to move them out of stores.

I don’t understand why bigbox retail bets so hard on movie toys. Not just Transformers. Justice League. Guardians of the Galaxy. Every big box retailer overorders movie tie in merch by about 5-6x. And the toy companies aren’t even pushing it that hard. It’s retailers doing that.

To me that looks even worse! His shoulders are now waaaay behind his back and at a slight angle. Plus his arms are being blocked by Grimlock's shoulders so you have to swing them out to the side to get clearance. It only looks good because of the perspective on these 2D images.
But it's fine if you think this looks good:

Dunno where all the hate is from, but okay. I'm just happy we were listened to and got a voyager Starscream that isn't this guy:
Only problem to me is he's probably not gonna be redone into Skywarp and Thundercracker because of his scale.
I dont see how scale changed anything. Every other Generations Starscream got recoloured into those two other seekers and the scales were all over the place.
Plus, we have a listing for a TRU exclusive Thundercraker so I think both the redecos will be store exclusives.
So you may get your wish
My thought was that leader classes from CW were more side things to fill the size gap, and deluxes are the most numerous size class generally, whereas voyagers have the specific gimmick and combiner mixes to go with and only one or two per wave. Plus he's got King Starscream as the torso mode. Just didn't know how the other seekers would fit.
Plus, isn't it possible that the TRU exclusive Thundercracker is the third RiD warrior class seeker? We got Screamer and Warpy, but no Thunders.

I've seen an English review of Voyager Starscream and... If you've seen Energon Storm Jet, you'll know what to expect with him. Really hollow and I kinda fear a repeat of the first runs of CW Silverbolt.

The price point is that of a Voyager, besides RiD 2015 has effectively ended by now,.

But Toys"R"Us is ESPENSIVE! Especially when it comes to exclusives.
Also Titans Return effectively ended before Arcee and Grotusque (Both Toys"R"Us exclusives) were released. So it's not exactly impossible.
And, who knows? The exclusive could be cancelled because of Toys"R"Us' loss of business. IMO, it kinda serves them right for jacking the prices up for so high when we now have Amazon to replace the online side, and Target and Walmart to mostly replace brick and mortar stores. I think bad business practice is killing the company, and that ain't our faults.
