I think that's the perfect price point for the cars. I wonder if Starscream will be $69.99.carytheone wrote:Cobotron wrote:Wow! Is he $10 cheaper than Prowl was? Wasn't Prowl $69.99?

I thought I might just stay loyal to BBTS, but $30 bucks is another 2 deluxes or a voyager.
We'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out as I pulled the trigger at amiami.
Will, you think EMS could be as high as $60?
Yes I do. My recent haul was 50$ US to ship and it had UW 01 Superion and 4 TAV deluxes. It can be anywhere between 40-60$. But you are lucky, Emerje says you wont get it taxed. I will for sure, no way Canadian customs is ignoring a big ticket item like that.

$60 seems like a pretty sweet spot for cars to me.
I'd love to see MP Screamer at $70, I could use one of those in my life.

And he's 89.99$ CDN in canada: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp ... d=61896076
Something seems off because that makes him 69.99$ in the US. You guys are getting a deal.

I'm sure they'll raise the price soon like they did on all the other Masterpieces. Esp if it's selling well (Prime, Soundwave, Grimlock)

I know I was thinking of waiting for BLUE Bluestreak, but saving money and having the figure in a few days wins. $70 for an MP-11 based Starscream would make me think of parting with my Walmart MP Starscream..Also, let's get on with the other MP cars at $59.99 Hasbro! To add to SDCC pre-orders. TFSource also has the SDCC Devastator up for preorder for $299.99:
http://tfsource.com/sdcc2015/devastator/
and the Combiner Hunters for $139.99:
http://tfsource.com/sdcc2015/combiner-hunters/
I noticed that the Hunters pre-orders are sold out on BBTS.
Wasn't SDCC Devastator announced to be priced at $180? I don't remember what the Hunters were said to be priced at. I did notice a small bit of text at the top of HTS that may be of some interest.
The texted is linked, but just to HTS home page.

combiner hunters I believe was 75ish?

Has there been any info on the U.S release of mp starscream ?Or could it still be possible it was mistaken for combiner wars leader class starscream?

Should be the same price as the previous seekers since it was confirmed on TRU canada computer to be 89.99$, same price as the previous ones.

I'm glad that they are giving an actual date for the beginning of this yearly online hellish experience. Likely they have it 2 weeks later to allow for the product to ship back from the convention. I'm also hoping there's plenty to go around, as well as a smooth experience in trying to purchase them.

Well I'm trying to score one or two things off ebay just so I have less to grab the day of. HTS is one of those stores that allow for things to be sold out of your cart

After picking up Devy for $127 after tax I've guaranteed myself getting at least one of the upgrade sets from one of the companies! For some reason I still like that SDCC one, but not enough for me to wait and spend $60 more after taxes.Rated X wrote:Those sets are probably gonna be the biggest transformers shelfwarmers in SDCC history, especially that Devy. They really screwed up not going for a G2 deco. Instead they tried to do a "premium version" only to be outshined by Takara and a host of cool 3rd party upgrades for the cheaper version.

Instead they tried to do a "premium version" only to be outshined by Takara and a host of cool 3rd party upgrades for the cheaper version. The fembots will eventually sell. Its such a niche deco aimed towards comic readers. But new heads (new characters) would have made the recipe for a better sell. Maybe a 3rd party can offer something to make the fem clowns more desirable.
Well, Takara outshines the SDCC version in functionality, accessories and features, but not in deco. The Takara Devy has as much paint apps as the Hasbro version, just in different places for a more G1 feel. Of all the decos, SDCC has the most amount of paint.

Thsnks. I probably shouldn't have paid that much for Rodimus, but it beats waiting for BBTS and then paying even more for both of them when I don't actually want Skywarp.

Is the regular price really 201.35$ or is that just the markup put by takaratomymall for buying online? Because all the evidence shows that the actual retail price for all Takara products in Japan is actually the discounted price Amiami and other sell it for, about 18000 Y.

Oh man, you are totally right! Hobbysearch is indeed the closest price to what you would get at Japanese retail. Here is Drift for instance at 2250 Y http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10333938
And at retail in Japan he was found for 2125 Y http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/june-takara-tomy-transformers-adventure-toys-available-and-found-at-japan-retail/33333/, so less by 1$.
Although I am still trying to figure out what the deal is with that inflated MSRP.

This might not be related but I also noticed recently that hobbysearch isn't too keen at selling TFs. Just a feeling with a bit of evidence (it was my reminding them to carry TAV line like PG that got them to solicitate the latest tranch release). Even hlj beats them at solicitation offer (Devs was offered after like 2 weeks since Amiami's) though in terms of reliability at releasing your reserves, they always push through.
The price of theirs might be a safety precaution in case DEvs doesn't sell (?) Speculation on my part.
