Courtesy of fellow Seibertronians itscramstastic and carytheone, we have some news about site sponsor ToyHax and their Reprolabels sub-section - if you're in the market for some figure sprucing up, this may be the time to place an order: pretty much the entire site catalogue is on 50% sale!
Featuring the likes of Titans Return Trypticon alternate designs, one penny sale on Titans Return Windblade, the upcoming Power of the Primes Jazz figure already teased via social media, there is probably something to fit all tastes - and a complimentary symbol sheet or two with orders over 15 USD (practically nothing). Check out the site by clicking on any of the images below, pick up a set or several, and share away your process on our Energon Pub discussion boards once they arrive!

Right? It's just a Black Friday/Cyber Week type sale, nothing to start a panic over.
I need to get that Velocitron set while it's still cheap.

Like I said in the original post, I havent heard anything. Im just speculating from a business point of view. 50% off is a bit unusual for any item rather than select items that didnt sell well at full price. Granted its all stickers. But when you do a sale like that, its hard to get people to ever buy them at full price again because you just showed them what they are really worth. Just saying...

I don't think you understand how sales work. A sale this big is going to do exactly the opposite of what you're saying. It's going to entice people who were on the fence before about ordering, it's going to get people who buy regularly to purchase more and it's going to get the casual fan to also buy because of the cheaper price. Selling a quality product at an initial discount is a great way to get more customers hooked. Customers that will undoubtedly come back and buy again but at full price.

Fully taking advantage of this sale. I have quite a few that I wanted that I'm now going to get. Mostly just ones to make figures into another character. Thanks for the heads up.

Got the Windblade TR set at a penny is a virtual STEAL (nope Canada, ain't paying no tax to you ) The extra details give her a more slim look at the torso (which can't be appreciated via screen images) One weird thing is that her Autobot sigil is different from the site images.
Also, an extra detail on her knee caps would have made the set even better.

I just got an email saying they shipped out today.
Either:
A) They were pretty sloppy about managing the updates on their website, and my stickers will be in my mailbox within the next two hours.
- or -
B) It took them literally two weeks to process my order and put the stickers in an envelope, and I won't be seeing them until 2018.

That does seem unusually slow even for being backlogged due to the big business they had with the sale. I ordered my MP-28 Hot Rod and TLK Berserker sticks on 24th Nov, got the dispatch email on 1st December and I haven't yet received them but I just hoping that's cos I like in UK and it's christmas time so the mail is overloaded. Usually I receive my Toyhax stickers within a week and half of ordering. Have you mentioned it to the staff on their Facebook group page or emailed them directly? They're usually very helpful and have solved minor issues I've had in the past.

I figure I ought to wait until our mail comes, at least (it turns up about 1:30pm est), but if they aren't there, I may mention my disappointment.

"On behalf of the Toyhax/Reprolabels team I want to say thank you all for your patience pertaining to the shipping of recent orders. We are just shy of having shipped out half of a massive influx of orders from our recent sale and have overcome some set-backs and hurdles that have popped up along the way. Also worth mentioning is we've gotten our hands on some new equipment that means when we are back to normal operations we will be able to produce more product and at a faster rate as well. In closing this delay is temporary and we are making more and more progress everyday on it we also are still working on new sets for you guys. We appreciate the continued support and patronage of you all.

Insurgent wrote:Do they not print the sheets when they get an order in? Rather than have vast qunatities of these sitting in a warehouse? Granted it's still a long time to get them printed, but if there's been a massive spike in orders due to the sale, maybe they just had a higher demand than they anticipated?
I feel like if they printed out a few dozen of each set on the site for inventory (much more for the newest sets) it wouldn't take up much more than a few four drawer filing cabinets in the corner of a garage rather than a warehouse. I also feel like it would be impractical to print on demand because that also means cutting them on demand which sounds like a fairly time consuming practice. But then again I imagine they could just let the machines run overnight and ship stuff out the next day if they're trusting in their hardware.

The main upgrade Swoop needs is his launchers, a tad more complicated than the Clone guns. Any 3rd party announcements in that area, or would it just be too hard to attach them considering how the wings fold up? Someone will probably do a full Dino-accessory set once Snarl and Sludge are out. Until then, no amount of stickers can make ex-Divebomb look less naked.

Same. Legends wave 2 barely hung around in stores here, probably because people were snapping them up to go with Soundwave. I thought I was safe waiting on Takara Tomy (got Rewind, Ravage, and Laserbeak from them), but then they passed on Rumble and there was no getting him at a good price by the time we caught on. Too bad, that Enemy sticker set looks nice.

Not at all. If you don't mind them not launching it would require four color molded parts, two red missile tips and two gray launchers that can be plugged together. It would be a little more complex, but not complicated and probably use less plastic than two clone guns. Actually attaching them would be super easy since there are perfectly placed slots on the underside of the wings to plug into and the best part is they wouldn't interfere with the wings folding since they have wedges carved into them that give a lot of leeway for some extra length.

I'm disappointed by the absence of two things. I really want to see improved/alternate versions of G1 Sunstreaker and Ultra Magnus' sheets. Sunstreaker's sheet is missing the Diaclone/pre-rub factory headlight stickers (extra egregious when you can see them on the Sunstreaker in the sticker map!), and both sheets have certain stickers that need color-correcting -especially Sunstreaker's blasted shoulder stickers. The clash isn't too bad on Ultra Magnus, but on Sunstreaker ye gods. Those stickers are supposed to blend the shoulders in with the rest of the carbody, so they need to be the same color. Leaving them red (which matched the Diaclone version) makes them do just the opposite so that the shoulders stick out worse than they would if you left them bare black!
Ideally an upgraded Sunstreaker sheet would also Transformerize certain decals (the "CR" ones on his doors and the one under his canopy that just has a blank silver rectangle, where the Diaclone one said "Car Robo"), but it's no biggy if it doesn't. The headlights and yellow shoulder stickers, those are the key thing that would make me want to buy a Sunstreaker sheet.

Well, that's kinda the point. "Stretching" some random toys into other characters offer more sets to sell. I often use those oddball sets to make my own original characters customs and it work very well. Even on the toy that is not intended by the set. Just look a few posts above to have an idea:

Well, there's only so much you can do without outright kitbashing. If it helps, perhaps think of it as what Tarn might look like in a more vintage G1-based design.

Yeah, those are honestly of greater importance by far. Later figures can be enhanced by these upgrade sets (at least, sometimes. I don't know that I'd call the cel-shaded windows for Jinrai Prime an enhancement, they make it look like a Transform Jr toy IMO) but they don't need them the way G1 toys do. Between how most of the G1 figures were outright designed to use stickers for half their detail and deco, how prone those old paper labels are to various forms of damage (especially if the toy was frequently played with), and how many G1 figures just never had their stickers applied to begin with...
