I think that Mickey should have transformed into the steam boat from Steam Boat Willie ( or whatever his first cartoon was called ).

Thankfully I pre-ordered the color one, so I'm not bother with how bad this application is.

1) These are far from ridiculous. And better than the other crossover lines. (IMO)
2) As with many Takara projects like this Money is not the top concern. The Japanese market has always had a strong backing of smaller runs to cover the Japanese collector market runs, rather than overloading the market as is done in North America.
3) Japan has been on a Disney kick for decades. They are hardly bringing Americana in for these. The early works of Walt Disney are some of the backbones of modern Anime and Manga.

I see your point homie. Im just an old G1 fan so I like my Transformers ruthless and strong looking. I dont like any gimmicks, such as Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, etc. Some things are better left untouched and should be not combined. (Perfect example: McGriddles pancake sandwiches...UGHHHH)
As fas as the collector market, I can only say that I have collected everything from coins, baseball cards, stamps, bottles from the civil war era, etc. I think there should be a fine line between a real collectible and something that is brand new out of a mold. What some might consider a "collectible" I consider a monopoly. Japan might have invented Transformers, but the USA made them what they are today. They need to pay homage and give us the support we gave them back in 1984-1988.
