In addition, there is apparently some interest within Hasbro to bring Takara Tomy's Arms Microns to the US, but there are no solid plans at this point.

I truly don't get it. We know they produced Leadfoots destined for Target plus TakaraTomy received their's, plus we saw a packaged Soundwave in both Deluxe and Human Alliance packaging. Why waste all that money??
Obviously the figures were produced. I wonder if Japan will make a Dino available? They seemingly don't have to worry about Hot Wheels and Ferrari, over there.

What the hell are they doing over there? I'm starting to think Hasbro has no idea what they're doing.

Guys, go back and read the news article again. Hasbro may have made 'em, the stores aren't buyin 'em. A repackage would work, but it isn't Hasbro's fault. They made the supply, and the middle-market demand (the stores, not us) aren't interested. Sucks but is true.
And it's a shame, I really wanted an HA Soundwave
Mkall wrote:Seibertron.com site owner Ryan and news admin El Duque spoke briefly with the Hasbro Transformers brand team this morning at Toy Fair in New York regarding a few loose ends from yesterday. From their discussion, they bring news that there are currently no plans to release DOTM Que, Soundwave (both deluxe and Human Alliance) and Target-release Leadfoot at this time. The main reasons for this is what befalls many toy lines as they come to a close - retailers show more interest in the next line than they do in continuing the existing line. It is possible that the figures could see a release at some point, but at this point there are currently no plans.

Cancelled.
Kinda sucks for those who wanted them.
But hey, maybe they'll put them into the Generations line at one point, they gotta get those 40 + figures from somewhere.

If Hasbro IS moving forward with the Trilogy line, then it confuses me even more since the Trilogy line was planning to use both the Que and Soundwave molds.

THen whatever figures were the last to be released now would have gotten shoved off the end. And I'm still waiting for Wave 2 to come out. Seen exactly 1 Inferno, two Dark Steel, and I had finally gotten Warpath then so I had to pass the other two up. Stupid move also...

And as such, I hope we'll get the Leadfoot/Topspin twin pack and Dino (Deluxe AND Human Alliance) we were promised. As for HA Soundwave, he had a VERY good silver paint job for the display last year...This may be a chance to get it back (not to say they will...Just that it's an opportunity).

The Trilogy line was canceled too? Well, I can live with that. I do hope DoTM Soundwave does see some kind of domestic release - the fans deserve it. >inset snarky 'I hate Bay' line here<
You probably hit the nail on the head though and Generations will fulfill that need. I like the speculation that it will cover the whole TF history (I still want an Animated Brawn!)

I agree. What about the MONTHS of a dry spell with no new figures and no news? How about that period? That would've been perfect.
As for importing them, here are the links you'll need, folks:

Places like TJ Maxx tend to pick up a lot of stuff and it would at least give them SOME money for the figures.

I'm glad to hear they might be bringing minicon blind packs to North America. Maybe they'll even do Kreon blind packs too! As long as they manage to keep the costs down. And maybe they could even bring the Kabayas over too. That would be pretty awesome to see.

omega666 wrote:Hasbro, the next time you want to put out 100 Bumblebee repaints, remolds, etc... think of these. The figures we ACTUALLY wanted. Oh and cancelling FE didn't help either.
Thank you! You said exactly what I was thinking. If Hasbro/Takara would stop releasing 15 versions of Bumblebee (Uh, there was just one version in the movie and we're happy with it) and focus on releasing new molds/new figures, then these figures would see the light of day here in the USA.

kirbenvost wrote:Simple solution to this: Stop releasing 4 versions each of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, and maybe they'd actually get some other characters released.
That seems to be the consensus of thinking here. Unfortunately they get greedy and money-hungry and release version after version, repaint after repaint of Bumblebees and Optimus Primes that they lose sight of what we fans truly want. But most importantly, they lose their commonsense thinking and that is why so many corporations fail.

#Sideways# wrote:Why!? Why must the world be so cruel!?!?
Because Hasbro has something against the Wreckers and doesn't want them to be a complete (DOTM) team
I'm movie'd out, but I did want that deluxe Leadfoot. Oh well. More money I can put elsewhere, into something non TF related.
No monies for joo Habro, 'cause you FAIL >__<

I saw we organize one giant march to Hasbro to say "Hey, maybe RETAILERS don't want these, but we, the CONSUMERS, do!" Who's with me?
I say, Occupy Pawtucket, dammit!

And for our final mind f*ck we will cancel certain DOTM figs that were set for release. C'mon people can you feel the love, can you?! Oh HasTak what will you think of next?

Make sure you have cosplayers!
Bruticus would be a nice touch But you'd certainly need the Wreckers and Leadfoot holding a sign saying "I DO EXIST!" then have Ironhide standing behind him with his massive guns
Add in Grimlock and you'd probably have every kid in the area supporting your cause, even if they didn't know what was going on. The numbers would likely baffle Hasbro xD

T-Macksimus wrote:I guess I should have snagged one of the HA Leadfoot when I was at Target this last week. There were only 2 left and are both probably gone by now. I've been very frustrated with the retailers in my area lately for how they have been handling the restock of toys in general and Transformers specifically but I do have to say that Hasbro also could be doing better on their end as far as how they are handling the scheduling and release of their products. It's made for a very difficult last 6 months to be a Transformer collector in my area.
You're not alone in that thinking. I was in a Target store the week right after Christmas and the only Transformers they had were about 20 of the HA Leadfoot. I didn't buy it then because I was thinking I'd be returning within the month, hopefully to purchase it at a clearance price. Unfortunately, I still haven't made that trip.
I also feel your pain as a fellow Transformer collector and not being able to purchase any figures for the last 3-6 months. However, the money I saved by not finding anything in retail stores, I was able to put towards buying the TFC Hercules/Not-Devastator/Not-Constructicons figures and personally, that was money well-spent.

$12.99:
FOC Jazz
FOC Bruticus
FOC Shockwave
PRID Knock Out
PRID Ratchet
Total: $116.91
$19.99:
PRID Skyquake
Grand total: $136.90 for...the YEAR.
Compare that to what Bandai's offerings come to this year and it looks like Power Rangers wins by a landslide. New Zords, new deluxe role play swords, stuff like that.
If this trend continues, I might just import from TakaraTomy and not give one red cent to Hasbro. I don't want them to have much of my money, if at all.
You suck Hasbro, you're a collective worthless sack of skin.

Micron Arms being brought over will be good though. I'll spend as much on them as I would have any movie Deluxes. Already going to get some of the Takara ones imported, but I'll also jump at any chance at retail release (hopefully priced to compete with the MegaBlocks Marvel and Halo blind packs and the LEGO minifigures)

Hasbro needs some sort of management shake up. Its becoming clear they cannot handle the schedule they have set for themselves.

Really, what where they expecting when putting Jolt, Barricade, the Twins, and goodness knows how many version of BB before Soundwave, Wheeljack, and Leadfoot (and Brains, Mirage, Igor, Crowbar, Hatchet, the Driller, Devcon)?
Hard to get excited for the upcoming stuff when the last batch of things I got excited for were cancelled.

They did say that these are all in one wave (Shockwave first, then the Combaticons), so maybe not so..
..maybe.
EDIT: Found it:
