So Arcee is on display? Pics!

Animated next month? Awesome, it'll hold us over until the movie comes out.

Deluxe and Voyager Constructicons... don't know what I'll do with them and a giftset being released.

Breakaway jet? Sounds cool.

Can't wait for more!

I'm getting excited and I'm not even buying into the movie line (though this might ruin all my hard mental training).

Finally an Arcee.

sorry if i missed this somewhere else but....has there been any news about what Devastator will be called since his name was taken in the first movie?

i've seen places refer to him as "Constructicon" but havent seen official news so is that his actual name or is there another?

I thought they retconned the guy from the first movie into Brawl for everything except the original theatrical prints. So they'll just call this guy Devastator now.

Woah, devastator is a monster (just saw pics on other site). Looks like it may have some issues, but it's impressively massive.

Saw that same image. I honestly don't think that's the $100 figure. Doesn't seem to be the one made from the Voyagers. The shoulder treads are completely different from what are seen on the shovel constructicon we saw already.

Patience isn't a strong point for you is it?

Ryan's galleries are always phenomenal, so just wait a while and you'll get shots of every freaking angle, zoomed in, zoomed out, with peanut butter and jelly, etc.

I saw the same picture you saw Muffin, I don't know what to think yet. Hopefully Ryan's pictures will be better quality and better angles too.

I'm pretty sure its gonna be that Devastator from the RPM track set. I remember a descroption of one of those sets that came with a big Devastator.

Theres no way that the one in that pic is bigger than at least a $50 Supreme, so theres no way (IMO) that it could be it.

The only way that could be a combiner is if the box came with 2 pre made arms, 2 pre made legs, some torso pieces and a head that you need to assemble. XD

We'll see though

I assume you guys are talking about the pic with the hand in the middle of it... Gotta remember the depth of the pic. It looks huge. If all those guys transform and the shovel dude is the only one that's terrible, Devy is leaning back to the buy list. But if it's a big Voltron like fig...pass.

Glad Ryan has pics coming. Cool of dude to take a pic with his hand in it to give a size reference, but how about a pic showing the whole thing first THEN the hand size reference one in addition...

To those asking for pics; the title says Toyfare, not Toy Fair. Go buy the magazine or search for scans elsewhere, I don't think Seibertron's allowed to post them.

Though I understand it's easy to be confused with Toy Fair starting today and all...

For anyone's wallet that was starting to sweat, this should pump some life back into it: According to an article on the allspark website, the big ass combining Devy is Voltron-like...without individual transforming bots. There will be separate individual transforming toys for the constucticons as well, but they won't combine.

Translation: Friggin' lame! Pass. Move on, nothing to see here. Sorry gestalt fans, better luck next time.

Thats unfortunate...its more of a display piece I guess

to brighen up everyone's day, Jetfire is confirmed to be one of 3 leader class figs.

Transformers Collectors Club wrote:TRANSFORMERS MOVIE FIGURES
(Approximate retail price: starting from $12.99; Ages: 5 & up; Available: Summer 2009)
For more than 25 years, TRANSFORMERS action figures have been known for their “MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE” play pattern, with robots converting into vehicles, and then back to robots again. In 2009, TRANSFORMERS movie action figures featuring the new film’s most popular characters will be available in three scales: DELUXE, VOYAGER (larger scale), and LEADER (largest scale and includes lights and sounds). DELUXE includes 24 characters, VOYAGER will offer 11 characters, and LEADER will feature three, including OPTIMUS PRIME and JETFIRE.

How is that new? We already knew that.
And no its not lame. Voltron was uber-cool, Both Cats and Vehicle Voltrons.

And I for one am pleased. This means the combiner doesn't need to accommodate added robot modes which leaves room, for articulation, and other essentials in a large multi-unit robot.

And that means that the non-combining units get to look more like the movie counterparts, instead of sacrificing something for the ability to combine. Which regardless of whether or not you like Demolishor, is clearly working there as he looks extremely close to what he looked like in the movie Trailer.

I was under the impression it was all just speculation and rumor up to this point, but whatev. And Voltron was cool, but I wouldn't drop 100 bucks on him. More for you...it's all good. I would venture to guess more would have been interested in him as a true gestalt, though, being Transformer fans and all.

If the Devastator components don't have individual robot modes, then Devastator and all who designed him can fornicate themselves with iron sticks. And I don't want to hear "this isn't G1, be open to new things." No individual robot modes is just lazy.

Uber-Fail

I hate to use the F word, but I'm really sick of Hasbro's defeatist attitude when it comes to gestalts. "We can't do it".

That just kills virtually all interest I had in Devastator. What's wrong with them. They're even lame enough to blame it on the economy. Sorry Hasbro, excuses are for losers.

This should've been the one kick-ass toy to rule them all. If they'd actually gone for it and pulled it off, it'd be just the thing to make everyone forget about the whole stupid financiapocolypse.

I dunno, maybe I'm overreacting, but considering it's their most expensive combiner ever you don't expect them to take the cop-out route.

Clearance rack here I come. As cool as a giant Devastator will look anchoring the Movie collection, $100ish for one that does not have individual transformers is crazy. But I do like the look of the bot, and if it is closer to $50 it will probably be mine.

I can't imagine how cool the autobot twins looked before someone melted their faces with a lighter.

That poor excuse of a toy hasbro is trying to pass off as Devastator makes me cringe. Just from looking at it, the thing can't have very much articulation which is what hasbro used as justification for making a 2nd line of constructicons to form Devastator. I'll pass on this one and make my own from the individual constructicons.

I just posted Hasbro's official Transformers pictures from Toy Fair. The most recently added galleries include the following Transformers segments: Animated, Revenge of the Fallen, Universe and RPMs.

http://www.seibertron.com/events/event.php?event_id=100

I'm working on my photos. As for Transformers, only ROTF products were on display. No Animated or Universe unfortunately. Look for my TF pics in a couple of hours.

For you G.I.Joe fans, I took a ton of photos of their products. I will be posting a full blown Joe gallery later tonight or tomorrow.

Hasbro's official images of Marvel, Star Wars and G.I.Joe will also be posted throughout the weekend. Transformers first!

I'm still not sure if that is the actual Dev Supreme package. But to everyone who is naysaying, think of it this way. How complex do we want them to be? Really complex! Make it real! how complex can the TARGET AUDIENCE handle? Not very. Combiners are not complicated for a reason- if they are too complex then they simply are not fun to play with because it takes too long to change them! The G1 Omega Supreme and Jetfire figs are pretty rare...because they didn't sell as well back in the day- they were too complex for the target audience. Maybe Takara will get ahold of these and make a MP type fig, but for the time being, Hasbro did what they could with what they had. I'll cut em some slack on that point. And who knows, maybe we'll see a Premium line Dev...

Please, stop. You're just throwing out unsupported assertions here. I'll point you at RID Landfill and Rail Racer as examples of better combiners. Not that complex, but they stil managed individual robot modes.

You know why Omega and Jetfire didn't sell well? They were expensive. Toys that size aren't expected to sell as well as toys in lower price brackets. The toys were hardly "complex" by modern standards, or even by the standards of the day.

Both versions are the lame version. There's the expensive lame version that could've been cool and the even lamer version that was always intended to be lame.

For all the compromises in $100 devestator, neither bot nor alt modes are good.

At any rate, there's gotta be some consolation. Maybe there'll be legends Constructicons. And if the voyager and deluxe transforming constructicons don't combine, I'm sure kit-bashers will find a way to make it work.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm interested in the combining Devastator.
I won't be buying the transforming figures for two reasons. 1.) Really out of scale, 2.) They're ugly as sin.

I don't like that they don't combine, except for the Zordistator, (and even then it's just the vehicle modes to combined robot) but apparently you can't have everything.

The pickins is slim this year. Not amused.
