While the US is finally able to get Sixshot (albeit online), that leader has been out in Canada for a while and with wave 4 of Titans Return creeping up everywhere it was only a matter of time before we got our first sighing of the Leader figure for that wave. Sky Shadow was found at an Ontario Walmart according to a tweet from Ryan Sheehey.
What is odd about all this is that while he appears at a Canadian Walmart before the US even sees Sixshot at retail, Sixshot has yet to appear at Canadian Toysrus stores. So far, in North America, only Walmart Canada has recieved either Sixshot or Sky Shadow at brick and mortar. So, how many of you would actually buy this toy on site full price if you saw it in Walmart today?

Even worse, Soundwave finally made a retail appearance in the Chicago area this week, while Sixshot finally came available online. I got my Soundwave from BBTS with Takara Computron, so he was available WAAAY earlier online than in store. So by that measure, Sixshot will finally hit retail stores in June, Sky Shadow will be available online for the US in about June and might finally hit stores before Christmas.

Considering Walmart in the U.S. has reduced Leaders to just under $40.00 I totally would..
Still haven't seen a Soundwave in the wild, and am still seeing CW Skywarps...

Now a Leader figure I DO want at some point is Blaster. He just looks like a lot of fun, and if I'm honest the size doesn't bother me. A shame the only really good "cassette" mold at the moment is Rewind, but hey, he can only hold one at a time anyway.

I kid you not, Blaster is by far the best Leader Class TF from Titans Return, that is a smart choice right there. And stripes isnt that terrible, but I wouldnt say he is worth full price.

I feel bummed about Sixshot, but from reviews I was having doubts. Reviews so far have given me real hope for the figure being really cool, and black/red/silver is pretty much my favorite color scheme, and I love the duocon gimmick. He's awesome to me

If $40 is the new normal that Walmart charges for TR Leaders, how is that not Full Price?...you related your story specifically to on site at B&M, and even more specifically Walmart... considering there are possibly only 3 B&M places that will ever have this in the U.S. I chose the one you specified... If you ask me will I pay Full Price ($45) at Target or ($46) at TRU...I may have to think it over...

I misunderstood, I thought you meant that the $40 was a special price at walmart and not the full price.
In any case, I was being cheeky, its a $5 difference it would still count as pretty damn near full price.

I like him more than Sixshot's design. Waiting for figures to hit my area retail has become terrible. So like Sixshot I'll be grabbing this Phase Sixer online.

What the HELL is up with Hasbro's distribution for this line?? Never has a full wave assortment managed to make it onto shelves at the same time during the ENTIRE run of Titans Return. Soundwave, that I mentioned above, he showed up a few weeks AFTER the one and only time I've seen Wave 3 deluxes at any retail. And now Wave 4 deluxes are starting to hit here and there, and we STILL have barely seen Sixshot, and only at online retailers at that.

It's the other way around: Sky Shadow is based on Overlord. Not only is the Titan Master based on one of his engines (the female one if I may add), Overlord (and not Sky Shadow) was the one teased at BotCon 2016:
He also has a product code: C2388, with Sky Shadow's C1104.

(Disregarding Trypticon of course, but even he was revealed both officially and intentionally!)
Well there's Windblade (Out of possibly the Highbrow mold), and Misfire.

Yeah, but those are apparently retools, so we at least know kinda how they'd look.
I really hope they show Slugslinger. He would be a nice surprise.

Fair, fair.
Honestly, I'm kind of expecting them to show off the rest of the line. We only have two waves left, they probably couldn't hope to top Trypticon at another TR reveal, and there's a new movie coming up so they might want to get everything else out of the way quickly to build up hype for that.
Anyone know when CW Wave 6 and CW's boxsets were revealed, for comparison?

A quick Google informs me that Bruticus and Sky Reign were revealed at Botcon 2015, around mid-June, and Victorion seems to have been revealed around early July at SDCC (though she's a bit of a special case), along with G2 Superion at the same time. If we bear in mind that TR's waves are offset by approximately 6 months (since CW ran for 6 waves = ~18 months), this seems like about the right time to reveal everything.
'Course, I could be totally wrong. That's always an option.
And while I agree that we probably can more-or-less tell what Misfire will look like by knowing what he's pretooled from, I have to argue that we have no definitive idea what Windblade-from-Highbrow will actually be like. A minor retool (or even just a new head) of that mold would be extremely inaccurate to the character as we know her - so either she's a major retool, in which case we haven't got a solid idea how that'd turn out, or the name 'Windblade' is being used for a different character, in which case we can't possibly predict which character it is therefore we still can't really tell what it'll look like.
...But once again, I could be totally wrong and it actually will just be the Highbrow mold with a head that looks like someone painted Windblade's face on a cardboard box. In which case I will be extremely disappointed.

Overlord's silouette might be the only one.

And we actually have only one more unknown wave to the full 4: Wave 5 is pretty much known except for Deluxe Class, it's the wave after that we don't know the lineup of, nor was anything hinted. Worse, the rumored amount of figures are worth more than a single wave can contain at this point, unless they all ended up in the box sets.

Overlord's silhouette might be the only one.
Anyways, that is a good question. I feel like some of the smaller classes, at least, had some surprise figures in them but I couldn't for the life of me say which ones. I'd also argue, though, that it doesn't matter so much because we had so many lists, with so many conflicting rumours, that we had (and still have) no idea what exactly is and isn't true until it gets revealed for real.
(Originally of course, I was just meaning actual images of the figure itself being leaked, but this is definitely a more interesting line of discussion.)

That would be a perfect use of the Titan Master gimmick... but unfortunately the current design team seems a bit too bogged down in Absolute-G1-accuracy-to-the-max-and-maybe-sometimes-we-throw-a-bone-to-IDW-and-Armada...
The last time they threw a bone to Armada, IIRC, was Thrilling 30 Starscream, and even that can pass for the G1 guy (and IDW even used it as him for a while). And that was because it was an anniversary line so they had to throw in a few random non-G1 figures to pretend they cared about the non-G1 "filler" lines. Even RiD is moving towards "all G1, all the time" now. Actually, the last time they threw a bone to Armada - and the only time this particular design team has done so - was the Armada Megatron new-head redeco in Combiner Wars.

He has a significant role in Transformers Victory Manga, he's a bounty hunter, aiming for Energon for his bounty needs.

Forgot about that. Still, you can't deny that most Transformers toys in recent times are retro-G1, be they clearly-recognizable reinterpretations like RiD Starscream, or near-exact rehashes like some TR deluxes (Perceptor even has his G1 toy's "tank" mode, for pete's sake).

Most certainly, yeah - that was the point I myself was making. That the new design team is essentially remaking the G1 toys with added articulation.
Which isn't... terrible. And sometimes they add in some IDW inspiration like with Rewind's head, or add in a couple new twists like with how they made Triggerhappy a god among toys. But it can be rather frustrating to see practically nothing else get attention - at the very least they're wandering into the obscure waters of Victory and Action Masters and 1988 that the previous design team wouldn't even dare going towards unless the character was called Nightbeat or Bludgeon.

Yeah. I guess what I was trying to say is I think they're further down that road than perhaps even you realize and it's a MIRACLE that whoever even first THOUGHT about Rook during Combiner Wars wasn't fired on the spot for proposing something entirely new.

Fair enough. Still sounds obscure, though. I somehow doubt this guy's going to sell on "Oh, I loved him in that one thing!" so much as he will on "Oh, hey, this guy looks cool."

The line's main market is kids and their parents, who most probably don't know the guy. So yeah, I am pretty sure he is sold mainly on "Oh, hey, this guy looks cool." That's why I am getting him. Remember, the only reason this guy exists is because they want to make use of that Overlord mold.

So far for Titans Return, Sky Shadow is the best leader, Astrotrain the best voyager, and Triger Happy is the best deluxe. No nominee yet for Titant, Titant Masters, and Legion.
Far as I know most people agree that the Crashbash mold is one of if not the best Titan Masters - and until Trypticon comes out, doesn't Fort Max win best Titan by default?
(also: Gnaw)
So, to cast my votes in so far with the figures I actually have:
Best Leader: Blaster
Best Voyager: Alpha Trion
Best Deluxe: Weirdwolf
Best Legends: Rewind
Best Titan Master: Toss up between Fangry and Sawback
Best Titan: already more impressed with Trypticon than Fort Max
Figure that is the most fun of the line: Gnaw in sharkticon mode

No, I am saying that I like the looks of Trypticon much more than I actually enjoyed Fort Max, even from the reveal. Cerebros is really the only reason worth owning Fort Max

Sky/Blackshadow that is. If you're patient enough, wait for the Takara version.
You do realize that there's a 90% TT will never use this mold right?

Check out the TCC TransTech prose story "Gone Too Far" by Greg Sepelak and S. Trent Troop. Black Shadow is SCARY fearsome in that story.Zeedust wrote:Does ANYONE have any real attachment to this character? I mean, has he ever had any significant roles in anything other than one episode of Victory?
What? He never appeared in the Victory manga.Albatross250 wrote:Zeedust wrote:Does ANYONE have any real attachment to this character? I mean, has he ever had any significant roles in anything other than one episode of Victory?
He has a significant role in Transformers Victory Manga, he's a bounty hunter, aiming for Energon for his bounty needs.

You mean this version of the mold, right? Because they're very much using it for Overlord.

his size is kinda large rather than his G1 Counterpart

Triggerhappy and Kup 1st place best in deluxe
2nd place would be Hotrod.
Skyshadow and Sixshot would be a tie imho.
Btw, the feedback on Sixshot concerning how the wings hit the tank treads in his 4WD mode is a bit harsh. When I transformed him, I didn't get any clearance issues. So it's up to you how you give him clearance.
In tank mode, the complaints I can raise is that the Tm revolver can't fully fit into the cockpit unless you compress him into head mode.
Lack of knee ratchets, that I agree with. If included and Revolver having additional paint apps , would make him a 5 out of 5 figure.
I have to wholeheartedly disagree with the Sixshot opinion. I have no issue getting Revolver into the cockpit, or anywhere for that matter. And the issues I was talking about with the wings hitting the treads was based on his Jet mode, not his car mode. the car mode is one of his better modes, while the jet and gun feel like his worst

Yeah, but he was referencing black shadow specifically, so I thought that was implied. And before anyone tries to counter this, don't forget how long it actually took to get the generations figure released in the tav line
At this point I would say that it's hasbro's black shadow or nothing

Well, considering how much bigger Titan Trypticon is going to be than the original... it's not that surprising Full-Tilt would be much bigger.

Oh yeah, they're almost certainly not gonna release this as Black Shadow.
At the same time, I REALLY feel like using the Black Shadow version of the mold as Dai Atlas is something that e-Hobby would do.
