It looks better in reality. The alt mode looks pretty good.
It's the second most pose-able TF, second only to HABB. Who else can bend forward at the waist? His pose-ability is far superior to MP Prime.
He has four pairs of hands, a matrix, a gun, an energon ax, a G1 style trailer with Roller and storage for the hands, a jet backpack and a display stand so he can hover.
He's die-cast and durable.
Did I miss anything? This price is more than I'd be willing to pay though.

Because BBTS sometimes gets the year wrong. It'll be Nov 2009

The Black Version, which I have, comes with 2 missile launcher guns and a couple extra heads. Still don't have the proper G1 colors version though. But I think this is a little too expensive for me at the moment.

I bought one about a year and a half ago on ebay for around $60.00. It was definitely worth that price. At that time it had been release for quite a while and, if memory serves, they sold for about $50.00 when they were first released.
Right now they are going for about $100 or more on ebay.
I speculate it costs more now because of inflation and/or they are manufacturing a smaller number of them compared to the initial production run.

I think the type of person who would buy this is first of all an Optimus Prime/Convoy fan who gets most things Optimus. Secondly, the sheer detail for how small this figure is. Have you seen it in someone's hands? The flaws are largely due to scale. Sure the alt mode isn't pretty but it's a highly detailed collector's item that is a great desk display.
Edit: Here's a size comparison photo of Pepsi Prime, Hybrid, and MP.

I have this Prime (and his black redeco), but I still need the THS-01 Galaxy/Cybertron Convoy.
Shuckie-darns!!!!

Yes I did miss something. He has rubber tyres!
I paid £56 for him less than a year ago.

Last year I bought G1 Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx. A few weeks later they were announced for Encore reissues. These were reissues I NEVER thought would happen too.
I buy Trailbreaker and Ratbat then they announce a reissue shortly after.
I swear, this has happened to me so many times!
Does anyone out there have a figure they want reissued? All I need to do is buy one and it will probably happen!

that pic is all good and what not in showing the scale.. truth is I considered purchasing him awhile back, like 4 years ago.. but decided to pass on him.. he's too fricking Tiny!! for that price, I'd prefer to go get something I can feel good about..yeah he's got accessories galore, but who cares about that, I mean I can buy a good accessorized Gi joe for 1 tenth the price of this little tiny tiny guy..
Actually I own the Robot Masters version of Optimus Prime, and he isn't half bad...(this aiin't my room, this is Starsabrej's collection..)
I know this is like a retool of that figure and all, but to me, he is still not worth it.. Like I said before, it is accuracy I look for in my collection, if you guys want him, enjoy.. I have no problem with that, just for me.. nah.. I have to pass..
I think the KO of Prime will look right nice with my Henkei collection and who knows what else Igear will add to that figure.. maybe a back pack, maybe a trailer, and maybe extra weapons as well as the extra head they are already adding to it..
but I'm holding back some Igear designated cash for both the Ark playset and the KO mini Prime.. this little guy will be around if I choose to get him in the future..
what I'd like to see is the scale of the THS-01 Hybrid galaxy convoy in scale to the classics Prime..he is one figure I'd like to purchase..if he's the right size he'd make a perfect alternate reality Prime or future Prime..
