I had fun with these galleries, especially WST Ravage. I love that my camera is awesome enough that I can take such large photos of such tiny figures. To me, the photo of Ravage and a penny is priceless.

WST Dinobots are next as I do the lead up to the main feast: the G1 and G2 Dinobots!

what?
I didnt know there were official versions of Ramjet and Dirge.
I only knew of the knock off versions, what series were they in?

Great galleries :) . But do you want a really priceless photo you should add to WST Soundwave's gallery? G1 Soundwave with WST Soundwave in its cassette compartment :) . That would be an awesome photo I'd like to see! Both opened and closed seeing the WST inside :) .

Another cool idea would be MP Optimus Prime holding WST Prime and scratching its head while looking at it like "What the...?!".

How about MP Megatron and MP Prime playing with their WST's counterparts as 2 kids on their knees playing with their transformers? :P

Just giving a few ideas :P he he.

Those are the knock off versions but I'll be damned if you can tell they're knock offs. I customized their heads so that they would have silver faces with black heads.

Here's hoping that knock offs of Thundercracker and Skywarp will be made so that I don't have to pay $100+ for them.

One more interesting note about these galleries, I actually started these back in 2007 when I first started working on the Dinobot galleries. It has literally taken me almost two years to actually finishing the galleries for these WST figures along with the G1/G2/WST Dinobot galleries. They were never a priority because they weren't new but I'm glad to have these galleries finally finished.

I think the next batch that will be added to the site are the G2 WST Dinobots, the WST Prototype Snarl and the WST Animated Swoop. The G1 WST Dinobots will follow after that.

I'm surprised they didn't make KOs of Skywarp and Thundercracker. They did make Sunstorm. Maybe they made clear variants of them?

Anyhow, awsome stuff here. WSTF is a great line for those of us who like small TFs .... and those who like to play with scale a bit.

There are clear KOs of Thundercracker and Skywarp. I picked up both along with a black Convoy and trailer for 15 pounds at Auto Assembly in either 05 or 06. Presumably they're from the same guy who's done the rest of the seekers but I've no way to be sure.

I've got KO versions of Skywarp and Thundercracker, I got them on ebay about the same time as Dirge and Ramjet came out (mid 2007).

I have a few of these, but never managed to get Jazz, Hotrod, or most of the chases. I keep them on my G1 shelves.

I wasn't aware of the Seeker KOs, they look great with the others.

Ravage looks like a little Puppy. Im still pissed that i was never able to find Soundwave or Hot Rod. They were either always sold out or i got outbid on ebay.

The "knockoff" Skywarp and Thundercracker have slightly different plastic and paint aplications than the real items, so you can tell them apart, but they are not really inferior in any way. They look great.

Thundercracker - http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa24 ... ker-01.jpg

Skywarp - http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa24 ... ack-01.jpg

There are probably dozens of other variants, and this is just a few i have seen knocked off from the Optimus and Seeker/Conehead molds:

Wow, he certainly went completist on the Seekers and the trailers. Since my G1 Prime is the G2 re-release I got that trailer (with a black Prime) from A2AU right before they shut their doors.

Surprised he didn't KO Magnus ... unless I'm just missing something in that gallery.

Magnus is the last one on the list. I got a KO of him without the trailer for a mere $10 with shipping included delivered to my door 2 weeks ago.

Great idea to put him next to the penny and battery.

There's no such thing as "World's Smallest Transformers" or "WSTFs". The line is called "Smallest Transforming Transformers".

You might as well call Encore "World's Most Regular Sized Japanese Reissues".

Yep ... you are correct and I am well aware of this. However, everyone seems to refer to them as that. Check out ebay and see what they're called.

In my database, I am using "World's Smallest Transformers" as the alternate name for the series and "Smallest Transformers" for the primary.

Since most everyone seems to call them WSTs, that's how I'm going to leave it, right or wrong.

While being technically correct is often the best kind of correct, you should learn to apply a bit of tact to what you say. Further, if you were completely correct, then collectors, eBay, and the rest of the collecting fandom would use that naming. They don't.

Just as a reminder:

A lot of work goes into the site resources. A lot of people put their valuable time into them. While constructive criticism is a contribution in of itself, your snip is not helpful.

I think the tiny Dinobots are officially called "WST Dinorobots" on the package. So WST is the official name of the unofficial toys.

We're calling it World's Smallest Transformers. Kind of like Masterforce and Super God Masterforce are synonymous with each other even though Super God Masterforce is the official title. I know the name was "Smallest Transformers" (though I think the name actually translates to "Smallest Transforming Transformers") but most everyone refers to it as WST from ebay to online retailers to the knock offs and other unofficial product lines.

The differences between Hasbro and Takara's series make figuring out names for each year a mess anyways so let's just add another one to the list.

It's always WST by my book. If I don't call them WSTs I'll be constipated. B-)

And they really are the world's smallest Transformers. Pedantic is useless, WST is efficient, we all know what it refers to.
On topic, I love the galleries and the few figures I have, give me more!

I identified an error and corrected that error. Was it rude because I corrected the error without a fluffy ego-stroke or because I dared to point out a mistake at all?

And of course, fans never get it wrong, and an error never gets perpetuated as a myth. Because that would be absurd and incapable of occurring.

Don't believe me, fine. But you should actually check into it first before you categorically dismiss it, to prove me wrong.

I never said that the resources themselves were not appreciated, or that people's time was not valuable. But if you want to be the bastion of indispensable Transformers resources, you should be aiming to be as correct as you can. Errors happen, but you've exactly proven my point about using imaginary names by dismissing my correction based on, well, eBay, instead of actually looking into it. Correcting one label does not invalidate the work done on this array of galleries. Unless you choose to.
Re: The World's Largest Galleries of the World's Smallest Transformers (876694)

Deathsaurus, it wasn't rude that you pointed out the error. It was rude was that you made a smart alec comment about the Encore line to make your point. That was the unnecessary part. I don't have any problem with people pointing out errors. There's just no sense in continuing to discuss this issue any further.

The series has two titles in the database ... "Smallest Transformers" and "World's Smallest Transformers". One is the alternate, the other is the primary. Everyone knows what we're talking about when we say "WST" just like everyone knows that we're talking about Super God Masterforce when we say Masterforce.

Please keep this topic on track.
