Slick! Those teal details are a neat touch, will they be somewhat metallic to more closely invoke the G1 sticker appearance?

Anyone else reminded of Cannonball with that color palette?

Not really, but now that you mention it the First Aid retooling of that could work pretty well as Cannonball. Or Red Alert (UT Red Alert, not G1).

These molds are just so versatile. Love it.

Shame Trailbreaker isn't using the First Aid molding. He'd be near perfect as Armada Red Alert.

For anyone confused as to why the front and back halves of the truck are two different colors, it was like that on the G1 toy as well:

Not so much confused by it, but I don't find the two tone colors at all aesthetically appealing in this case.

The arm panels/doors being purple might help. Looking at the pictures, I can't tell if they are or not. Purple in the bot mode picture, tan in the alt mode one.

Naw man, gotta use trailbreaker arm fused with first-aid, so you can plug in the knife claw and hook into the trailbreaker arm ;)

Well it's Rook if you're making Cybertron Red, First Aid if you're making Armada Red.

Well, I never got the botcon one, I was weary of the possible gps (and the high price). So I really want one to update the cybertron one; but in the end, if it came out through this, I wouldn't get it anyway #-o

I kinda get that, botcon's looks much more refined, engineering wise, but the cybertron one feels like what cannonball aspired to be, i.e. multiple attachment options for his hand, and much better/bigger art.

I think this is a strong case where hasbro just makes up a character (i.e. addressing the now lack of originality), just pulls him outta their a$$, and he ends up being memorable and amazing, however the strong G1 first mentality of a chunk of the fan base is over-riding the possibility of having a line take place that is autobots vs. the starseekers. They could even redesign thundertron from skylynx and have him combine with his crew

I agree with this. We already had a deluxe Cannonball so doing a new deluxe Cannonball wasn't really something I wanted. Now, had the Arms Micron Breakdown mold been used for a more badass Cannonball, that I would've gotten behind 100%. Would the Silas Breakdown head have worked for Cannonball? Seems like it might if I recall what the head looked like.

Also curious if we're going to get Armada Red Alert out of the BotCon 2014 Cannonball remold? That I might be interested in. Plus Universe 2009 Hot Shot could use an Autobot friend!

The Transformers Collectors' Club has shared a new mock-up of TFSS 4.0 Spinister, along with his Targetmasters Hairsplitter and Singe. In this image you can check out both the robot mode, with color tweaks since we first saw him, and for the first time you can check out his helicopter alternate mode. Check out the image we've embedded below, and remember, the sign up period for TFSS 4.0 is now underway and runs until September 2. Click here to sign up for the TFCC FSS 4.0 today!

Image

Spinister joins previously revealed Ruckus and Needlenose with Zigzag and Sunbeam, along with Bludgeon, Windsweeper, Impactor, and a seventh bonus mystery figure in TFCC's FSS 4.0.

While you're digesting this reveal, why not also check out our galleries of the original Transformers G1 Spinister and Targetmasters Singe and Hairsplitter? As always, keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for more FSS 4.0 full reveals as they come, plus the latest in news, updates, galleries, podcasts, comics, toy sightings, and more, even more than meets the eye.

So Spinister gets a belt fed machine gun, double Targetmasters, six missiles and a double gatling Vulcan gun?

The base photography are of Hasbro's hand-painted samples. Due to the way the light hits the paint opposed to plastic, it is very difficult to get Photoshopped colors to look "right". Especially with obnoxiously (and gloriously) loud colors like the 1988 Targetmasters.

I like the black better, I think it yields a better contrast. Then again, the teal is a bit more G1 toy-accurate. Going off Twitter, it looks like the teal has more votes, and that's ok, I could live with either. But yeah, black got my vote.
