Fellow Seibertron.com member ScottyP has notified us of the fact that Transformers Collectors' Club store page has been updated with two interesting listings: Voyagers Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime and Megatron! The two are listed at $89 each, and can only be pre-ordered alone or with each other, no other items allowed, with delivery some point in Spring 2014. The Club appears to be shipping them in from the Asian market, and are gauging interest with the pre-orders - so get in there while you can! The images below link directly to each figure's order page.

Voyager Class MEGATRON/OPTIMUS PRIME not available at U.S. retail. Our order numbers will be primarily based on pre-orders, so to guarantee you get this, order yours today!

Approximate Delivery-Spring.

THIS ITEM CAN ONLY BE PRE-ORDERED WITH THE TRANSFORMERS CLOUD AUTOBOT OPTIMUS PRIME! NO OTHER ITEMS CAN BE ADDED TO THIS ORDER, OTHERWISE THEY WILL BE DELETED!

Well, I'll be darned.

That's pretty cool that they'll be offering both, but I don't need them.

Way too expensive for reissues

With that kind of attitude it's amazing the Club still likes you all enough to organize BotCon

The pricing is meh, it pays to shop around different online stores (As an FYI, the original retail price is 5,940 Yen, or $58). Still appreciate the gesture though.

That's what disappoints me with their Takara/e-Hobby offerings, like Magnificus. If this were a way to get these guys for a minimal markup, maybe around $70 each, that'd be great. As it is, there's little incentive for me to order through them as opposed to anywhere else.

That said, at least they're a little cheaper than BBTS/TF Source, but the shipping difference (pennies in a POL, or free at TFS for the pair) kills it.

Makes me wonder if there's an actual partnership or if they just have a dude in Japan that does a big 'ol order based on their Pre-order numbers that then ships them to Texas :-$

Have to agree with you there - I already have Megs on order w/ free shipping at TFsource, so why go through the Club? If they have this direct relationship/partnership with eHobby, they should be able to do better.

Also, heads up, Magnificus is at TFsource for $75. My KFC MC20 arrived today, but I'm still thinking of getting the official version for that price.

$89 for a voyager, thats ridiculous. After shipping & taxes im sure itll be over $100. That megatron is nice but not that nice. And prime isnt even that much different from the original so hes really not worth it.

they organize botcon cause they make a shit load of money off it, you really think they're selling all the figures & tickets at cost? They wouldnt do it if they didnt make money. Just look at the box sets, you really think it costs that much to repaint a few figures and throw it in a new box?

With TFCC's incompetence and habit of overpricing everything, it's amazing that they're still in business. Con registration sucks, their website sucks, everything is overpriced, they keep having problems with the payment systems, and everything they do is late (figures always ship late, registration always opens late, etc.). And their half-assed excuse of a "magazine", published every two months, is a joke. The original Nintendo Fun Club News had more content and membership in the club was FREE.

I just dont get the point of the top of the truck being black. I know if forms a dumb looking gun that nobody uses, but it ruins the truck mode. I might have actually bought it (on clearance) if they had not done that...

Not wanting it despite the possible intention, but good try.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Granted, I do display most of my figures in robot mode, but still :\

To be fair though, it's cheaper than trying to find a new Henkei Optimus. Not if you buy it from the club, but finding it at a reasonable price, definitely.

The KODX version is still cheaper than the Cloud version, so...

It's an homage to an older figure. As for the gun, I don't think it's dumb-looking and I always display Classic OP with gun in hand. I don't know why you'd call it "a dumb looking gun that nobody uses" (unless you're trolling).

What is that thing ? And what re-release of G1 Optimus came with it and why ? :???:

That would be Generation 2 Optimus Prime. No noticeable changes between the original except for the black trailer and the added accessories: two new guns (taken from G.I. Joe, like all new G2 weapons) and a sound pack that can attach to his trailer or back.

I never seen that one before. I thought Laser Prime/Combat Hero Prime was the only Prime used in G2 ?

The first year of G2 was only repaints of G1 figures, including Prime, the Autobot Cars, Seekers, Constructicons and Dinobots. New molds did get introduced in the 2nd year, but the 3rd and final years could be considered the apex with the Hero and Laser figures.

Why is it any time someone says something you disagree with it's trolling? I'd say 'any time someone says something negative', but you just ripped off a few negative posts yourself about the club...unless you were just, dare I say, trolling.

Re: TFCC Offering Pre-Orders for Transformers Cloud Optimus and Megatron Figures (1534582)

It's not about making negative comments; it's about the context and the way those comments are made. You know exactly what I mean. You know trolling when you see it, even if you can't define it. Some negative comments are made to express an opinion; others are made to get a reaction. I stated my opinion about TFCC and backed up with my reasons. If I had simply posted "TFCC sucks balls and everything they do is worthless crap" and left it at that, THAT would be trolling.

If I accused people of trolling every time they said something I disagree with, as you accuse me of doing, then I'd have 10 million posts and that's all I'd be doing all day. I only call it trolling when it looks like trolling, smells like trolling, and sounds like trolling. And it's mostly the same 3 or 4 trolls doing it over and over. It's not like I'm accusing everyone of it.

I dunno, I just read two posts from you accusing people of trolling...neither seemed to necessarily be, they just didn't like the product. Nobody seems to ask for validation if a post simply says "Looks great!", or "Awesome!". Why is it automatically trolling if they say they don't like it without giving a half dozen reasons as to why not? Or especially in Rated X's case where he gave a reason...you just didn't agree with his reason.

Please don't order anything through the TFCC...I will never..ever...ever give them a credit card, paypal, or anything else again. They have turned out to be sleaze promoters which do the same song and dance every year around Botcon.

I do want the prime because Henkei Convoy has gotten more expensive through time. I think I got Henkei Prime in 2009 for around $50 from RobotKingdom because they had some bent boxes floating around. I have sold Henkei Convoy so I might get this one through other sources but no way will I even deal with TFCC.

To elaborate, there were total of four Optimus Prime toys released back in Generation 2:

Generations 2 Optimus Prime

Hero Optimus Prime

Laser Optimus Prime

This Cloud toy pays homage to the first of these with its black wind vane and silver Autobot symbol.

I didn't even notice the unpainted headlights until you mentioned them. Maybe it's just a mistake and these are photoshopped mock-ups instead of finalized painted samples?
