Some interesting Technobot concept sketches have been posted by Xiao Red (who always seems to have the inside track on TFC Toys info) over on ACToys. It appears third-party toy company TFC Toys may be considering the Technobots as their next Transformers related project. This would also be consistent with the hints they dropped on their facebook page about their next project featuring red and white on each figure. The concept sketches for Afterburner, Strafe, Lightspeed, and Nosecone are mirrored below. This should be treated as a rumor for the moment. As we all know by now third-party companies are notorious for teasing and starting projects that never see fruition.

Well this is indeed good news to wake up to.

I wonder how scale is going to work out? Either way it's going to be awesome!

If each figure for this set cost as much as each figure as the Hercules set, I'm out. I would like this, but definitely not WANT this. He's not that important.

The Technobots aren't on my want list, so it's an easy pass.

What happened to their Dinobots? Not that I wanted them, but it's weird that they aren't moving forward with those first.

Hopefully all the limbs as deluxe (sold 2 at a time?) and Scattorshot as (near) Ultra class. I'm excited to see a Scattorshot that ISN'T based on TF Cybertron Scattorshot.

The Dinobot combiner seemed to receive a lot of flak here. I think with the success of Hercules it makes sense that they want to work on a G1-based combiner.

All in all, I haven't seen a Computron since the original. If it's designed with just a little of the greatness of Hercules, then I CAN'T WAIT.

I'm kinda hoping for the opposite actually; I'm hoping that they'll be scout/deluxe figures so the end result could be in scale with all the other combiners, but I'm doubting that's the case. TFC's going for their own scale I think.

If these are going to be as good or better than Hercules/not constructicons i'm getting them all. Though i hope the colours will be G1 accurate i woulden't mind if they were all red with white details. Apart from Scattershot and Strafe that is they should definately be all white with red details.

This is fantastic news! Computron was the one combiner I never owned yet always wanted. With the rumors of Fansproject wanting to make Stunticons, I'm happy to see that they're not trying to double dip.

Before they actually released Herc, TFC was really good at announcing things and less good at getting the damn things out.

Im pretty confident it will be 4 scouts/deluxes and a voyager. This is not a 6 member team like the Constructicon set. Plus, as we saw in the Michael Bay films, construction vechicles are huge. That is what they probally were thinking when they made Hercules so huge. But I think complaints about Hercules price to make them scale down a bit. Best part is this opens up the door for Abominus. :D

I really hope this is somewhat affordable, Computron was one of the few G1's that I had complete since I got them as a kid, and was truly disappointed the day I had to let him go.

I'm interested if for no other reason than my "classic" Autobots are becoming painfully out-numbered. Do hope the scale isn't too huge; would prefer this Bruticus scaled versus another Hercules-sized beast.

Let's be realistic here - we won't be seeing these guys for at least another year. TFC has so many projects either announced or in prototype stage:

Off the top of my head:
Dino-Combiner
StarCats combiner
PCC limbs
Reflector
Abominus (sketches seen last year)
and now sketches for Protectobots.
I'm sure there's some targetoids or something right?

At this stage after my initial excitement wore off, I will not get excited until I see prototype images.

I'm hoping that this is not as large as Hercules. Afterburner should be nowhere near the size of a construction vehicle.

If your Menasor has two bots that look like the ones shown here then you either have the KO Menasor that came with two Technobots or a mismatched G1 Menasor. Here's what the real Menasor looks like.

I'd be more interested in The Stunticons and Menasor. Motormaster would need some serious reimagining, Maybe Have the trailer turn into a weapon platform? Not looking for 100% G1 accuracy, But a cool modern version like Fansproject Bruticus/Superion .

I was considering it for the same reason.

Then I remembered I couldn't care less about any of the Autobot Combiners. None of them ever appealed to me beyond doing all sorts of wrongidy-wrong combinations with their limbs and Decepticon Scramble City combiners.

Am I one of the few who actually want this to be in scale with Herc? I know it would mean making Scattershot near on Leader class but part of Hercules awesomeness was his sheer size and bulk. I know it would be more affordable but I would love it if it was around the same size.

I had previously thought that TFC would make more combiner teams but stick with 6 figs all the same size like Herc. They could push out Monstructor, Raiden even do a Piranacon.

No argument here. I'd love to have a Technobots set around Voyager size, just like big bad Herc.

Computron is by far my fav Autobot combiner, so regardless of cost, if TFC does this, I am instantly all over it.

I just hope they do the Terrorcons afterwards ;).

Yeah, I'll take some TFC flavoured Technobot action.

I hope they're slightly smaller than TFC's Constructicons. I've always felt Devastator should be the biggest of all the gestalts, plus they'd hopefully be a bit cheaper. However I don't want the individual figures to be as small as Munitioner or Explorer, so four deluxes and a voyager/ultra will work for me.

I'm not too keen on this idea of them all being red and white though. If you're going to do a job then at least do it right.

This would be awesome! Technobots are definitely my favourite Autobot combiners. I don't care if it is Hercules scale or FP Bruticus scale (though would prefer FP Bruticus scale).

The TFC Constructicons were fantastic. I hope that this project goes somewhere quickly.

Bingo! I'm still excited for these guys but it's a long way away. I also agree with the hopes that these will be deluxe figures instead of voyagers like the Hercules guys.

We now have concept work for TFC Toys Technobot Scattershot. We brought you the other 4 members earlier this month. Actoys.net posted these two sketches from the team at TFC Toys. Is the two headed dragon a heavily stylized Hun Gurr or some other robot toy like their Star Q products? Obivously these are a long way off but interesting none the less. I've always been sorta meh about the Technobots, but that Hun-grr is pure sex. I'll buy the Technobots to augment my G1 Redux collection, but I'm excited about the Terrorcons. What I would really like to see are the Stunticons. I demand a Motormaster that doesn't look like he's stuck in a box with his shoulder joints stuck at his waist.

I'm in for both.

I hope these guys tackle ALL the combiners, though Superion and Bruticus can be last.

I'm really looking forward to watching this project.
Watching the Herc project build up, was almost as cool as getting them!

For the record, I'm in the "Deluxes with a central voyager/ultra" camp.

Very nice. I'm not noting anything until an actual prototype is displayed.

Am I the only one who doesn't think much of the Autobot combiners? I don't me I don't like them, I mean that they literally don't come to mind as readily as most Cons counter parts. I readily know Devastor, Bruticus, and Predaking (why will no one make a Classicverse of him? :-( ) and I know Menasor, Piranhacon, and Abominus, but the Autobots are outside of that.

Edit: except Superion, but FansProject already took the suck out of Hasbro's version.
