Target has begun their the Collector's Spot Fall Geek-Out event running from September 3 to October 3 where they'll be making new announcements every Friday across various collectibles lines. Transformers fans wont be waiting long as Target plans to hold a special event this coming Friday, September 10 just for us! There's no telling exactly what they'll reveal, most likely a new exclusive, but the first day held yesterday revealed a $50 Batman figure from McFarlane that also has an $80 signed variant (both of which sold out shortly after) made for New York Comic Con so the bar has already been set very high. That final day of the event in October also promises more reveals from Hasbro, though probably not Transformers specific.

It'd be messed up if the reveal just turned out to be Road Rage and that the Target.com page went live too early.

exactly my thoughts. There is that Galvatron we saw not too long ago also, but that feels more like a Pulse exclusive type thing.

I put something in article about Road Rage, but then took it out, didn't want to cause any confusion. Weren't people saying that Galvatron was an Amazon exclusive? Maybe they just said it because it was on Amazon AU?

My guess is either something Bumblebee related like whichever movie Seeker they were getting, or that crossover Dracula we've heard about from leaks and listings. Maybe both.

I just assume it's going to be Road Rage. There's no need for it to be expensive like a McFarlane figure.

Not likely, this is supposed to be a reveal and she's pretty easy to find on the site, she's even listed in their collectibles section. She might go up for sale that day, but she wont be the big reveal.

It's best to assume that it's just Road Rage anyway so you won't be disappointed if it is

I'm keeping my expectations low by only expecting Road Rage, so anything else (like maybe Silverstreak?) will be a pleasant surprise.

Ugh… not again. So sick of Target exclusives. Their preorder system also sucks, I don’t understand why they can’t just charge you when they get it. Lost my preorder for GI Joe’s Breaker w/ RAM Cycle because they charged me at an inconvenient time :BANG_HEAD:

I honestly can't think of a single store that charges up front for pre-orders (not ones that sell Transformers anyway), they're very rare. Not Target, Walmart, Amazon (any of them), TRU (when we had one), BBTS, TFSource, or Pulse. Does Gamestop still require a deposit or is that just for games? And pre-orders are not a guarantee even if you do pay upfront. A pre-order just means they'll hold one for you before they start selling them at release. Sometimes things happen (especially now) and stores don't get enough in to fill pre-orders and have to cancel, that happens to all of them. I had a ridiculous number of pre-orders cancelled by Target last year, but I knew it was possible when I placed them and I don't hold it against them.

Target and Walmart do, at least they put a hold on the card which can be a problem sometimes.

I've never had a hold from Walmart, definitely wasn't made to pre-pay for my Netflix WFC pre-orders, and I use a Red debit card at Target so I can't comment on that.

I have a Red card now too. I highly recommend signing up for Drop. It's something like Rakuten that gives you points on your purchases that can be redeemed for gift cards.

That's what got my SS86 Jazz cancelled, I went too close to my limit including preorders. If you have a preorder, just assume that total is on your card until it is charged and paid off, otherwise if you push your card over the max limit with in stock and preorder purchases, it will start cancelling the preorders.

As for the toy, I am fully expecting Road Rage, though I would not mind a Studio series Skywarp or some nonsense to come out

The Target page linked in the news story appears to have updated somewhat: it doesn't have pages for them both yet, but the link and pic on that page for the reveals has updated to show Road Rage and what appears to be Draculus in all his Mindwipe-retool glory.

Greetings Seibertronians!

Carrying on from the news that Target was hosting their Collectors Spot Fall Geek Out Event (where new Collectors toys are revealed every Friday from the 3rd of September till the first Friday in October), the 1Oth of September is finally here, and with it, a look at the two Transformer toys being revealed.

Special thanks to Seibertron user, Nemesis Primal, for bringing the update to our attention.

Image

Image

While we've already seen Road Rage, today is the day she becomes available to purchase.

The other figure though, the Dracula x Transformers crossover figure!

Sadly as of writing, Draculus's store page isn't online yet (rest assured, when it is, we'll bring you all the images and description of this figure). The figure is done in conjuction with the Universal Monsters characters, while the toy itself us a Titans Returns Deluxe Class Mindwipe retool. Until we see better images, it's unclear at the moment if he's a Titan master or not.

What do you think of this reveal? Do you want to see the other Monsters in the Universal line up to get the same treatment?

Shout out in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Dracula will have a hard time then, considering that the western cartoon version of Mindwipe WAS Dracula in almost all but name...

And over a month later, the Fangry 4-pack still isn't available to order. Instead of waiting an eternity for Target to get their s**t together, I paid an ebay scalper & now own the figures. Target is the absolute worst of the worst. I never had any problems with them years ago but now I don't want to deal with them at all. Just buy their exclusives off ebay & avoid the unnecessary aggravation.

Red Card exclusive my ass! I bought Redwing off ebay too. I'm sick of this nonsense. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to buy a product from a store. The only purpose a store serves is to sell products to their customers. But Target doesn't seem to understand that & wants to be a f**king circus instead. 8-}

I was the same was with Toys R Us Japan. They used to be THE place to go for TFs, outside of specialist hobby shops, but after they basically stopped bothering to sell anything new, I switched to Amazon Japan and haven't looked back.

Sound pretty aggravated buying off eBay there dude.

…or I could just get them at a store like I did with the 4 pack and T-Rex and their other store exclusives?

Never understand folks who throw tantrums on forums over toys. Gonna wager you just wanted them as soon as soon as possible and threw more money then you needed to to get them instead of just being patient and finding them in stores. Maybe it’s how you acted to this news but let’s call it a hunch

I find it helps if you understand that Target as a store carries I'm guessing easily at least 30000 different products in each location across many different departments. Do you want to guess how important Target considers stocking a specific exclusive toy that is mainly desired by adult man-children/collectors (I'm a little of each)? My guess it that is doesn't even make their top 25000 in terms of importance.

As a secondary note, I think it may just be your specific Target, or possibly your general region that sucks and got the short end of the distribution, I've seen the 4 pack at a number of stores. Or, you could have easily missed them and the workers at your store just told you they never came in to make you go away. Especially if you act like you do on these boards in person as well.

I say this because I've had Target employees tell me they didn't have any ER SkyLynx in stock last year on August 31st, while Brickseek said they were in stock at my store. Came in the next morning and they were on the shelf. It seems the employee I talked to either didn't want to or couldn't check in the back and just told me they had none.

I can address your sky-lynx issue. Last year I saw that pounce and wingspan were instock and I ordered them online for pick up. My order was canceled 2 hours later so I went there and asked about it and the employees said it’s on their delivery truck scheduled for tomorrow and their items show instock for the store when it’s scheduled for being delivered to their store. It’s less a store issue but more a computer problem already automating their stock. They said it happens sometimes. Same thing happened with Galvatron once this summer. So it’s less they wouldn’t go back and help and more it’s just bad system. No excuse but it is what it is

Got my preorder for Road Rage in, we'll see if this works.

The Shockwave Funko Pop has, as far as I can tell, never been made available to order; Target does have a Funko event coming up, so maybe then? If it's an availabilty issue, I have an interesting story regarding the Starscream one: I have about 10 Target's in a 2-3 hour radius, I only found him in one location, and there were 25 of him.

I've been irritated with how my preorders have been handled: Earthrise Thrust & Runabout were cancelled last year along with the Ark with no notice. Recently Kingdom Tracks & Scorponok were cancelled: they continually sent me emails to review if I want to continue my preorder (um, yes, duh),then receiced an email in the morning at 3am to review and not even an hour later (4am) they sent a 2nd email that they Target cancelled the preorder because I didn't respond. I complained and got the "we'd be happy to help" b.s. response.

Road Rage is now available for purchase. I was having an issue adding to cart on the website, but it worked in the app. Release date is 10/3, so I should have it in-hand within a week of that.

Generally speaking, I haven't had the same issues with online pre-orders that others have reported. I think there have been a handful of times where I've switched to in-store pickup instead of waiting for a shipment, but I've been able to get my hands on all of the Target exclusives since WfC started.

Edit: I don't know if or when either of these releases will be available on Hasbro Pulse in the partner exclusives category, but neither are there yet.

For those getting Road Rage, it would be nice if you could check the leg panels are correctly pushed in so they can tab more securely in robot mode, and the tabs and pegs on them are longer or better designed than those on Tracks.

The tiny little nubs on the side panels in car mode simply will not stay pegged in. And the super shallow tabs make it so the pin holding in the panel needs to be pushed in a bit to get any sort or purchase on the front leg panel to hold in place. However this causes a stress mark on the rim of pin hole.

It would be nice if they corrected that for the next use of the mold.
