TakaraTomy Transformers MP-25 Tracks and MP-26 Road Rage Comparison

New head, New pelvis and/or crotch plate, and new thighs.

Will be getting that Roadrage!

I know this wont be completely masterpiece related. But THIS is EXACTLY how you turn a TF mold originally designed for a male, female. The amount of remolding done is MINIMAL and yet accomplishes SOOO much.

That being said. To all the naysayers about how the combiner wars figures couldn't possibly become female, I now have the masterpiece Road Rage card I can pull out. THIS is the kind of remolding I am expecting when it come to combiner wars Victorion and her component bots.

A few MINIMAL changes and some slight smoothing out of some corners can go A LONG way.

And I can't wait to see how they turn out. I mean, these slight changes to the Tracks MP make a massive difference and look great.

I spy with my little eye:

New head
Rounded thighs
Smaller waist plate
Smaller round biceps
Different upper chest molding
Smaller hands and bulkier right forearm?

Did I miss anything?

I'm really hoping she comes with a faceplate in liu of a figurine. I really can't imagine why she wouldn't.

I really appreciate Takara's efforts at retooling Road Rage as much as possible, but the head seems rather small now. Could just be the angle of the pic, though.

Wouldn't that be the biceps he mentioned? Anyways, I really like the look of both of them and I may need to pick them up when they come out. Is there a speculated date for when either will get released?

It was gone 6am and I hadn't been to bed. Genuine mistake, is all.

Road Rage, Bluestreak and Tigertrack are probably going to get displayed in the Dialcone sub-display I'm going to have to create to accomodate the mainline characters.

I am liking the way this figure looks. There are enough differences that with the right paint application this could be great.

Looks to me like they did; hers appear slightly slimmer than Tracks'.

I'm having a hard time seeing the super drastic difference everyone is saying, but hopefully that's due to the prototype grey, I hope we get colored images soon!

They're not super drastic. Just a new head and rounded thighs, maybe a few other tweaks

A bit of hyperbole but you can tell the difference.

It's probably the angle at which they're posed in the picture, but doesn't it look like Tracks is slightly taller?

His backpack just isn't pushed all the way down. Everything else matches up.

At least maybe in that pose, painted up she does not read as female at all. I guess neither did Strika though

hmm... in BBTS's picture it looks like a glass cup.

It may also plug into the license plate spot to make a front cannon for car / jet mode.

I said it before. Her waist is too small. Her hips should be as wide, if not wider, than her chest for a traditionally feminine appearance.

As for the silver thing, I go with the person who said it's a beam gun for the front of the flying car mode. Tracks used one in the show at least once I think. It will probably be compatible with his MP too.

For anyone who says she doesn't look female enough, you guys must have a total conniption with Strika's build. Hate to break it to ya, but the female body is just as diverse as the male body. Most bots who mimic males demonstrate this characteristic, so there's really no reason a fembot should be different.

Well, I think it's mostly the face. They tried to give her fuller lips and a different eye shape, but it somehow ended up looking like a child making a duck face while crossing their eyes; that is, goofy regardless of gender. Unprofessional for either a bodyguard or alien diplomat.

Toys' lips can be really tricky to sculpt right, even if we're not talking robots. I recall the first Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch had a similar problem and had to be redone. As for this new Leiji...that's the official face, so (sigh) 3rd Parties, it's been headballed into your court. Knock it out of the park.

Fembots are scarce. It would be nice when we get one that it'd be recognizable, whether it's Strika's build or Blackarachnia's. Strika still looks feminine with her deco and babushka, and Strongarm does as well with her lips and sculpted chest plate. This looks like a guy, point blank. I already have 100's of male figures... don't need my fembots looking like males as well

It looks as feminine as Cybertron Override.

Huh, I guess I'm the only one who's really liking the look of this. I thought they did a good job making her look like a fembot.

But seriously, that silver thingy looks like a dildo. I suppose even giant robots need winding-down time...

It's a decent enough stab at making it a femmebot. Definitely more than I was expecting. Without being a completely unique mould I don't think there's more they could have done. WAY better than G1 Road Rage.
