But yes. It is awesome to see them pushing forward with this. And equally as awesome to see that the Dia-Battles is pretty much sold out everywhere. It inspires confidence!

Where did I write they were the same? I was just talking about the bang for your buck.
So why compare them then? The product isn't a part of the Diaclone reboot line. Now if there was another product of the same line you position would be valid.
Bottom line is, the discussion is about Diaclone and not Microman....off topic already
You do know both are from the same company right and come from the same Gi Joe brand right? And both together make up G1.

I wonder if those other guys are Waruder, but would they have modular vehicle robos?
Maybe they learned their lesson the first time, and built mechs comparable to Earth's.

They actually detail the whole storey on TT's site. Dunno how much it'll help but here's a link Googled translated. If anything, there's pretty picturesCobotron wrote:I wonder if those other guys are Waruder, but would they have modular vehicle robos?

OUCH! Brain hurts. Bad translation bad.
Those are the same pictures and story from the book that came with the toy. These guys are working on a much better translation, so we'll have to wait and see what this chapter actually says.
This guy kinda ...
... looks like this guy.
But a lot of his details look just like Dia-Battle's.
I don't know this for sure, but I don't think Takara made Waruda toys in the 80's. Which was kind of common. Make toys of the heros but not the villains.
I hope we will be getting some Waruda toys to Dia-battle with.

yeah, I've been thinking the same thing, though the head isn't really *terrible* for magmatron either. The only thing that I'm really trying to puzzle out is incorporating that extra parts jet as a shield on his left side or something (shades of the bulky arm covering his sea dino kinda makes)

Just got the V2 version. My take will be different. As the set is already awesome and so on, great light piping....interactivity and playtime options are really its selling point plus the nostalgia.
What to watch out for.
1. Head spring gimmick. Those who have it knows what we mean. The selling point and a bit of it's Achilles heels. And the plastic bar on the top of the chest just infront of the robo head/chin, kind off thin.
2. The pseudo tank treads should have at least 1 set of rolling wheels. Setting it up a little forward won't have had affected the transformation
3. Be careful when detaching the thigh parts. make sure to loosen the front clamps fist
4. Paint chipping, especially when you have sharp nails. I scratched the disc patterns on the side of his knee. What I thought was dirt was actually a paint chip which I tried to remove with my nail. Only a one frickin' part was painted thin and did not set in unlike the other silver paint apps. I'm gonna look for some Tamiya paint pens now.
5. The clamp connectors of the glider cockpit. Potential breakage.
Andddddddddddddddd.....can't wait to get subsequent releases for this toyline.

Sheesh!!! $40 for just one?! It says set and I was hoping for 2 or 3! They're like two inches tall. Granted you get some accessories but $40?!
Guess my scout human alliances will do as human forces still.

And I'd guess these guys are about the size of a Gen Legends toy.

So, it was a little confusing trying to post this. The red and blue are up for pre-order everywhere, separately. And BBTS has the yellow and (seriously is that grey?) up for pre-order as a 2-pack, and that's the first official anything I've seen on those two. And the military greens are shown together on the TT site, while the red/blue are separate, leading me to believe that the commandos are also a 2-pack. But the TT site doesn't show the yellow/whatever in any official capacity besides "background".Cobotron wrote:COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! With a capital K!

The original Powered Suits came in three variations, and either came in red or blue. Sculpt-wise, the arms (but not the fists!) and legs were the same.
