Indeed. What would his weapon be?
Speaking of weapons, anybody know what his Micron's name, "Zamu", actually means? I know the Japanese word for rhino is sai, anything else?

It would probably be a retool of Bulkheads mechtech weapon but with a spinning hammer.njb902 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:njb902 wrote:it would be a shame not to get this great looking toy state side.

I think that the on-screen weapons, like breakdowns hammer, should be the secondary weapons (like rid prime's sword) and the mechtech weapons should be just some random weapon, seeing as it is now mandatory for hasbro to include some hunk of junk transforming weapon with every voyager if that makes any sense...

There are always a few oddballs that don't fit the line's gimmick.
Of course, there have also been a few major recurring characters that didn't get toys for whatever reasons...
Would there be a way to check if this was Takara-only? Like, only their names stamped on it or something?

Well for others hoping for a domestic release, hopefully they will say something at SDCC.

I agree. I'm no expert, but if we don't hear anything about a voyager Breakdown release at SDCC then I highly doubt Hasbro will be joining TT's release.
I haven't gotten my hopes up (too much) but I really hope this will be announced this year. Beyond any quality issues some may have, I've been very pleased and happy with the transformations in the TFP line. TT's version of Breakdown looks to continue that trend.
Can SDCC get here already?!

Call me a hysteric, panic monger, or conspiracy theorist, but I can almost taste a 1990 TF crash headed to the states. Japan and Europe continued to get new designs like Overlord, the Brainmasters and Breastforce while the US kept getting lower and lower quality crap and soon after nothing. Hasbro might be in the process of setting up a complete abandonment of the American market "for the foreseeable future" as they would say.
They have through gross incompetence and a complete lack of understanding of the market engineered a second crash of the brand. Just look at all the Bumblebees clogging the pegs.
Just a hunch. I hope to Primus I'm wrong.

On the flipside, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that's not a Bee is selling very very well (especially the cyberverse and botshots, those things absolutely fly off shelves). Hasbro needs to get their heads out of their asses and realize that the ONLY thing not selling is the SLEWS of Bees we keep seeing. I don't understand how they can fail to understand it! I mean, ever since Dotm, pegs have been clogged with them. Okay, it's true that there will always be pegwarmers, but come ON Hasbro, at least realize that you need to have some variance in your pegwarmers. I mean, if pegs were filled with, say, one or two copies of each deluxe, then it wouldn't be that big a deal. But, instead of a few Ratchets here, a few Arcees there, and a handful of Vehicons to round out the pegwarmers, it's ten to twenty BUMBLEBEES with MAYBE two-four Wheeljacks/Cliffjumpers.
I just don't understand how they don't see that as a PROBLEM. When you have an item that isn't selling, AT ALL, then you have a PROBLEM, particularly when that is TWO-THIRDS OF WHAT YOU ARE SELLING.
Sorry for the rant. It just bugs me... when there's a problem this obvious and so easy to fix, why not just do it?

FoC at least looks to be pretty void of BBs. I'm sure he'll pop up eventually there, but he's not in the first two waves nor has he even been hinted at yet.

I wouldn't worry to much about that for the time being. Keep in mind we have two TF cartoons currently airing, a fourth live action movie in development, a MMO scheduled to launch later this year, and the FOC video game releasing this summer. I don't think we have to worry about Hasbro abandoning the brand any time soon.

I don't care anymore.
Still a cool figure though.

Same here. Seems like the one photo that should've been taken.

I'm going to be unusually optimistic and say the lack of clear plastic may also suggest Breakdown was originally designed as a First Edition. It looks perfect enough. Please Hasbro, make it happen at SDCC.

Whoo-ho - wait sec, you mean Swerve version will be an Autobot? - damn, looks like I may have to bite the bullet and get this one because my Decepticons are kinda out numbered on my shelf

Then sure as sh@! they end up deciding they would change the mould and not make the FE versions for U.S. market. I mean at least we got our Voyagers for this line, but if my dumb ass wants a FE one I am going to pay a cool $100 or more for it.
I am not taking any chances this time. I also figure that at SDCC 2012 Hasbro will let us know what's coming our way for this year at least. ( I even take that with caution as they have screwed us that way too.)
To me they are just toys and I am not going to freak out if things don't pan out, but for now I am at least sure I am getting a Breakdown for my Prime Con set.
