The veil of mystery surrounding Takara's Transformers DSM DA-28 Striker Optimus Prime has finally been lifted. Takara has updated their official website with images revealing the figure in full. The figure is a remolded version of ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime featuring new MechTech weaponry and a shield that can be attached to the forward section of his truck mode to mimic "Stealth Force". Check out the high res images mirrored below.

Very sweet fig.. really glad they did something with the ROTF leaderclass mold, as the ones of OP in the Dark of the Moon version leave alot to be desired. Though i will more than likely pass on it due to the fact that this weaponized mode wasnt shown in the movie. So glad HASBRO officially announced Leaderclass Blackout!!! NOW THATS GONNA BE A SICK MUST HAVE!!!!

I'd like this as an add-on kit for ROTF Leader Class Prime. As well as Buster Prime's gas tanks. I'm sure some 3rd partier could make it happen. lol

Striker's not exactly what I was expecting, but I'm quite a bit impressed, here.

$100.00 ain't bad, really.

I can't see Hasbro quibbling too much over the price of this one. It looks like it could be carried here without much trouble.

Never really wanted Leader Prime until now, but I've been liking Stealth Force ever since I started playing the game, I also know that there's more Stealth Force-age to be had than what they show here

, which should be fun, and really, for a Leader class, I don't think 100 bucks is that bad of a price, Leader class dudes sold here are way more expensive, :-?

Once again they come out with a Japanese exclusive Prime (IT IS COOL) so they can RIP US OFF, price gouging. A leader Prime with some attachments shouldn't cost more then $50 in the states. But when you get a Jetpack Prime or any others they are running nearly $200+ after shipping, which is TOTAL bullshit!!!

The best way to combat these outrageous prices is to NOT buy any of these if they are grossly overpriced through outlets or even HAS/TAK directly. Voice your opinion to them. Instead a few crazies plop the money down quick as can be its ridiculous and yes I am ranting,lol.

AT LAST! It is revealed! And I can honestly say I don't know how I feel. If it had chrome and silver I'd be all over it, but then that wouldn't look right given the apocalyptic nature fo the movie. Does anyone know if this version still has the forearm mounted blades?

Oh sure, give HIM the awesome paintjob and jetwing the grey plastic. Takara's really becoming like apple and totally screwing with their customer base by making us gotta catch um all :-x

This looks really badass, but im its not jetpack-badass and the jetpack played a more "significant" role in the movie.

I kinda hope they release a "ultimate" pack which has this, and the jetpack. But obviously not. And im sticking to jetwing due to costs :-(

That is Bad-ASS! I LOVE the "cow catcher" on the front. I don't think I'll buy it because I don't need another Prime and it would cost too much to import, but I would love to have one.

Yes! A DOTM leader/bigger Prime that looks awesome in all modes. To me the Jetwing Prime's vehicle mode with chainguns looked a little goofy.Normal , Stored on back, Stealth force,And giat gun and Shield robot mode. The only thing this needs is a switch on the back ot the head that lets the face plate slide on and off. If HA Jazz and HA Roadbuster have sliding visors , as well as multiple Bumblebees with drop masks.Why can't Prime have a sliding faceplate? Hope this comes out in the USA.

I don't expect to ever see something like this, let alone 'Buster' over here in the UK, and to buy via the few decent sellers online the shipping would probable bump the price nearer £200..? :BOOM:

Already pre-ordered since July here, and staying that way. As far as price. It's a Japanese Market release, of course it's expensive because it's made in really limited quantities. I would put money on if Hasbro ever releases a DOTM leader mold, it will be san's everything but the Buster guns.

He will look good next to ROTF Booster Prime, DOTM Ultimate prime, and DOTM Jet-wing Prime. Do I care if I get another leader prime? Hell no! Because the Mold is one of the best to date, If not the best Ever to date, even toppling MP01.

BBTS has this listed for $120, and they charge $30 shipping to the UK so you're looking at just under £100. It's still quite a bit expensive, but not quite as bad as you'd think.

ok rotf leader prime is my favorite version of movie prime. i have every version of it, even the amazon black version. and this one is awesome too. and yes i do want the leader class of blackout

Probably has to do with plastic color layout. For instance, if that hinge were to be cast in grey plastic, other pieces on the same sprue would be too.

Yeah, and it'd have the same problem Buster Prime did where the chrome ends up at the bottom of his feet in robot mode (Not a very good place for a chrome truck grill :oops:

), about the arm blades though, the pic doesn't give us a good look, but if it's the same as Jetwing Prime (Which I think he is) he won't have them.

Screw buster Prime, they finally painted the windows correctly. Plus it looks like the colors are painted, not mold colors!

Although His Exhaust Mufflers have been re-molded and it looks like his buster Gun is MIA, but whatever. This is better then buster, it looks like a darker more war colored Prime. I mean I only saw the chrome a few times in the movie. Anytime prime would magically get washed before a fight.

The More I look at it, the more I feel this will be the best Movie prime Mold for awhile... until the manage to somehow make the ROTF mold look like crap.

I'm not so much worried about the chrome so much as the smoke stacks being removable so that he can go around in his jetpack from the Jetwings Prime. If he doesn't have the Jetpack compatibility,that is a HUGE deal-breaker for me.

dont get me wrong it does look nice but it seems like alot of hype for an add on grill and gun minus the blades >:oP

Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this.

It's stealth mode is REALLY nice, but seeing as I've already got two ROTF OP molds, Striker isn't essential to my collection. I've already got Jetwing and have MP-10 on pre-order--buying this as well would stretch my budget a little too far.

Frankly, if I had the extra cash to spare, I'd gladly add this to my to-buy list. But given the amount of pre-ordered stuff I've already got, I'll have to let this one go.

If it's of any consolation, at least the stealth mode didn't get featured in the movie, which makes it non-canon and therefore unessential...yeah, I'm just gonna keep telling myself that.

Well, it makes sense, but, would it be so hard to paint that?
I mean I understand when they leave things unpainted, but it tends to be at least the same color, the red there really hinders the look :/
