TFYuki is at it again folks! Courtesy of Yuki today, we give you a new image of the upcoming Transformers Legends Scourge! Scourge is the Takara version of the Hasbro Titans Return Figure with a more Cartoon accurate deco. The figure is due out later this month along with the Legends Blurr figure. He will not be coming with a mini drone.

It looks nice but i think i'll be sticking with the Takara United version and the Hasbro Scourges as sweeps.
The headmasters have no name on the Takara packaging, because in the Japanese continuity they never had humanoid partners the Transformers combined with. The headmasters are the actual robots and because they are really small they made bigger bodies called transtectors to interact and combine with.

Exactly. That's why I don't understand when people get all mad when hasbro has to change the name of a character due to trademarks. It's your toy, you can call it whatever you want when you own it. It's not that big of a deal

Does anyone know where you can still order a scourge? I've checked most places but it's all out of stock preorders. I finally found a site that carries the Takara Computron preorder but $55 for shipping!

I have TR scourge -three in fact, gotta have those sweeps- but I really love the Sakamoto comics and I personally do enjoy the color scheme of Takaras. I'm someone who always defends hasbro and am totally cool with what we get but I did want a Takara scrounge. I'm very tempted d by Blurr. I found a site that is not sold out on preorders for him.

Yes, but, even back in 1987, Takara gave the little Headmasters their own unique names that differed from the names of their Transtectors (even if most of these names never made it into the Japanese fiction): Chrome, Cana, Ros, Gorter, Cerebros, Grax, Monzo, Vorath, and Scorponok. Takara will call it what they want. I don't think they have the same issues with trademarks as we do. Only issue Takara has with names is when they already name a character something and then create an homage character like in armada Sureshock was named in Arcee in Japan and in energon when Arcee showed up Takara had to call her Ariel instead because Armada Arcee was redone as energon minicon again.

Well the internal comics more or less hints they are from the same JP universe so more or less fiction wise it's them. Fiction by all intents and purpose is the extension of the product's advertisements.

Ugh... the little guys go by the names of the whole for the most part in the comics, that I already saw. I was indeed only curious if the original names would be acknowledged on the package, that's it! Nothing more, nothing less.
Speaking of names, there are only two instances so far in which the names differ:
Galvatron: the little Headmaster is shown to be Megatron, popping out of his original CW/Legends body.
Broadcast: Twincast is mentioned by name in the comics.

Yes, the US only watching order is Beast Wars seasons 1-3 then Beast Machines seasons 1-2, and yes, Beast Machines was renamed Beast Wars Returns in Japan.
Broadcast order in Japan was:
Beast Wars s1
Beast Wars II
Beast Wars Neo
Beast Wars Metals (US s2 and s3)
I am unclear on how the Japanese shows fit into the continuity but I don't think there's much cross-referencing between the US and JP seasons, even in the Japanese dub of the former.
You seem to have found those already.
The Transformers Masterpiece line comprises mostly 1980s G1 characters. So far, Convoy and Cheetor are the only characters to be released in the series, but there may be more. We don't really know yet. If you want a complete Masterpiece Beast Wars collection you may want to wait until we see if more characters are announced. You can read more about the Masterpiece line here.
The Transformers Generations and Transformers Legends figures are the same molds, released by Hasbro and Takara respectively. Takara is Hasbro's business partner and they own Transformers in Japan. As you can see, the figures have different colorations, this is common between Hasbro and Takara. The Transformers Masterpiece line comprises mostly 1980s G1 characters. So far, Convoy and Cheetor are the only characters to be released in the series, but there may be more. We don't really know yet. If you want a complete Masterpiece Beast Wars collection you may want to wait until we see if more characters are announced. To answer that question fo yours regarding Beast MPs, they might make more eventually and even maybe even make MPs of toys we already got in the Legends line, but it will take time. They are only releasing one this year and cheetor next year so it might be a long wait if you choose to only get the MPs of those characters. I am not saying its less likely that they hapen, just that if they do happen it wont be for a while.

One per year or every of those I managed to find (still dunno if those are the best tho) and then sell it if better comes out when we age (but as I longer think bout it, while having newer versions who would buy older one..) me is 28,5 now so Cheetor at 29 and I listed like 14 more so 43 y.o and I'm done

While there was little doubt Takara's LG 31 Fortress Maximus would come with a master sword, we had never seen it. Until now. Sabrblade and Cyberpath have sent us some pictures from Dengeki Hobby and TF Yuki's Twitter which show this sword in full detail. It appears to be the same sword that came with the SDCC 2016 version but with a different deco using paint instead of stickers. This sword is also different from the Hasbro Asia version which is made partly of clear plastic. Images of all three are shown below. You can also compare the difference between SDCC 2016 Fortress Maximus and the Legends version which is primarily the deco, unlike last year where the Takara Devastator had more functionality and accessories over the SDCC version. Now, it's mainly just a different deco like the amount of red around the legs, more white in some areas and clear blue plastic used instead of clear green plastic for the shoulder. Here are the pictures.

If I were going to get any version of Fort Max, I'd go with the Legends version. Not for the sword, but for the perfectly screen accurate Fortress and his Matrix Blue eyes. Damn, he's a fine looking robot.

But... it's Takara's Fort Max that has the most toy-accurate deco. The pictures above demonstrate that the differences between SDCC and Takara Fort Max are fairly minor, so with the price+shipping factored in, SDCC is easier to swallow for a lot of people.

I disagree, the toy doesnt have white on the shoulders and the sdes are grey ather than white, no?

Yeah, thats what I was tryign to get across in the article, since people may not think of getting the SDCC version ad just think Takara vs Hasbro. For the price the sword commands online, the SDCC version is really not a bad deal at all.

I think the Legends Fortress/Cerebros is more cartoon accurate than SDCC , isn't it? Or is it the toy it is more accurate to? (Grey opposed to Black)

Legends Fortress is accurate to the original toy but mostly to the Headmasters cartoon.

Ha ha, but seriously though, do you guys only eat ramen noodles, or have I been chatting it up with millionaires this whole time.
I almost got the sdcc version from hts but after shipping and taxes it was alittle over 200 bucks. So I got the basic hasbro one instead.

But rather than just paint white triangles arbitrarily, Takara opted to adhere to the molded details on the shoulders (or once) and painted the white parts of the shoulders in accordance to said details.
Hasbro's leaving the shoulders mostly all blue on their versions looks more like how the G1 toy's shoulders were when unstickered, lacking in the sticker detail:
