I would be inclined to agree. It appears everyone is sticking with the whole "head is the character and the body is power armor" thing

O well, I'll still be calling them by their original Japanese names, because I can

The headmasters have no name on the Takara packaging, because in the Japanese continuity they never had humanoid partners the Transformers combined with. The headmasters are the actual robots and because they are really small they made bigger bodies called transtectors to interact and combine with.

Exactly. That's why I don't understand when people get all mad when hasbro has to change the name of a character due to trademarks. It's your toy, you can call it whatever you want when you own it. It's not that big of a deal

He's currently sold out on HLJ, but you should keep an eye on it because they might have more avaliable once they get their stock. (Or someone might cancel until then.)

This item is expected to be released on or about 08/31. We will accept additional orders at that time if supplies are sufficient.

I have TR scourge -three in fact, gotta have those sweeps- but I really love the Sakamoto comics and I personally do enjoy the color scheme of Takaras. I'm someone who always defends hasbro and am totally cool with what we get but I did want a Takara scrounge. I'm very tempted d by Blurr. I found a site that is not sold out on preorders for him.

Yes, but, even back in 1987, Takara gave the little Headmasters their own unique names that differed from the names of their Transtectors (even if most of these names never made it into the Japanese fiction): Chrome, Cana, Ros, Gorter, Cerebros, Grax, Monzo, Vorath, and Scorponok. JelZe was wondering if Takara retained these original toy-only names for the Legends Headmasters or not.DMSL wrote:The headmasters have no name on the Takara packaging, because in the Japanese continuity they never had humanoid partners the Transformers combined with. Takara will call it what they want. I don't think they have the same issues with trademarks as we do. Only issue Takara has with names is when they already name a character something and then create an homage character like in armada Sureshock was named in Arcee in Japan and in energon when Arcee showed up Takara had to call her Ariel instead because Armada Arcee was redone as energon minicon again.

Speaking of names, there are only two instances so far in which the names differ:
Galvatron: the little Headmaster is shown to be Megatron, popping out of his original CW/Legends body.
Broadcast: Twincast is mentioned by name in the comics.

I'm new to this community & rules of seibertron.com so please do not delete this entry but move it somewhere if I posted wrongly.
So, to start off, recently discovered that Gundam series aren't rly my thing.
From a child liked Exosquad so U.S.A cartoons not animu. So was with Transformers.
My fav. and first series was Beast Wars and second one is G1. Didn't go further simply because being out of free time. Yet combiners look promising:>
Anyways I need your help concerning this lineup of toys -that's why I wrote here (with some additional questions in a slave ^^) so:

2nd Question: is the number given a random thing? MP34 transformers masterpiece. I mean what about MP1 to MP 33?? and why only him & Optimus primal was made in this series. Will there be more of it or just those 2? Wonder if it is worth buying him anyway now...
Finally as an addition to my shopping list I wanted to add more toys from B.W but got confused again...
Question 3rd: Is this the same stuff or different mold/timeline made toy?

Last question numero 5.. which version of would u recommend to buy (links please):
ULTRA WANT: Tigatron, Megatron, Dinobot, Blackarachnia, Inferno, Silverbolt, Tarantulas, Tigerhawk, Depth Charge, Quickstrike, Dinobot II , Rampage.
Or do u happen to know if there will be some new rls of them and its worth to wait?

Yes, the US only watching order is Beast Wars seasons 1-3 then Beast Machines seasons 1-2, and yes, Beast Machines was renamed Beast Wars Returns in Japan.
2. USA+JAP watching order -is it ok
Broadcast order in Japan was:
Beast Wars s1
Beast Wars II
Beast Wars Neo
Beast Wars Metals (US s2 and s3)
I am unclear on how the Japanese shows fit into the continuity but I don't think there's much cross-referencing between the US and JP seasons, even in the Japanese dub of the former.

The Transformers Masterpiece line comprises mostly 1980s G1 characters. So far, Convoy and Cheetor are the only characters to be released in the series, but there may be more. We don't really know yet. If you want a complete Masterpiece Beast Wars collection you may want to wait until we see if more characters are announced. You can read more about the Masterpiece line here.
Finally as an addition to my shopping list I wanted to add more toys from B.W but got confused again...

The Transformers Generations and Transformers Legends figures are the same molds, released by Hasbro and Takara respectively. Takara is Hasbro's business partner and they own Transformers in Japan. As you can see, the figures have different colorations, this is common between Hasbro and Takara. The LG-EX versions of Rattrap, Rhinox, and Waspinator are the most recent releases, designed to have the utmost screen accuracy, but they were convention exclusives and will fetch a high price tag as a result.[/quote]
Question 4th: which is better and where to buy for the cheapest price with shipping to Poland.
That's outside my area of expertise, unfortunately.
Last question numero 5.. which version of would u recommend to buy (links please):

SECOND SORT: Tigerhawk,Depth Charge.
This is complicated. I suggest going to the wiki page for each character, scrolling to the toy section, and seeing which versions of the toys you like.
Or do u happen to know if there will be some new rls of them and its worth to wait?
At this point, we don't know of any upcoming Beast Wars characters receiving toys other than Convoy and Cheetor's MPs. This is not to say there won't be any, however, but the celebration of the 20th anniversary has been less than exciting.

If you are buying a new Takara product (meaning the Japanese version of a toy), you are always better to buy from a Japanese retailer. Or if you are looking for Japanese products that have already come out, this is a really good site:
http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/?page_id=116&ra=&st=&kw=transformers+legends
But e-bay is good too, look for the places that have free international shipping, like for the LGEX Legends Waspinator, this would be the best place to get him:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%2Fitm%2FTAKARA-TOMY-TRANSFORMERS-LEGENDS-BEAST-WARS-LGEX-WASPINATOR-FEST-2016-EXCLUSIVE-%2F162077123284%3Fhash%3Ditem25bc8ca2d4%3Ag%3AzKoAAOSwGeBXPu2t%26
[b]Last question numero 5.. which version of would u recommend to buy (links please):
ULTRA WANT: Blackarachnia
The most Accurate Blackarachnia came out last year in the Legends Line (the line which this topic is about) and it looks like this:
Transformers Legends Blackarachnia Gallery
Keep an eye out on the site I posted above, they get them once in a while. Mandarake is another good place:
http://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/
However my very favourite is actually Beast Machines Blackarachnia which looks like this:
Transformers Beast Machines Blackarachnia (Black Widow) Gallery
Her spider-mode is amazing

Posted by destructorin on August 18th, 2016 @ 1:28pm CDT
I did get BWS 1-3, BW II Jap already.
All it left is Metals, Returns & Neo -those are only raws I suppose and my Japanese is still...you know..hopefully I'll transfer soon there and learn the language more not to mention limitless access to the figures:O but if not gonna happen soon I rly want to be in Canada (girls, nature, food, TF convention!!!),
Anyways my fav. character is the one from the avatar yet as far I know http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-images/toys/Beast-Wars/10th-Anniversary/Tigatron+-+Takara+Tomy+2007+Reissue is the latest ;/ kinda sad...
I'm after screen accuracy so Arachnia (Transformers wikia don't say a word bout this new version + beast machines transformation version sure is cool!) +Rhinox+Ratdude+Waspinator from Legends 2015/6 Japanese version. I guess it is worth to buy them as those are 30th anniversary option and rls of their Masters like Cheetor & Primal is less likely now, right???
As for others I picked those versions by google search coz even as those stores above are cool its kinda hard to grasp right models...:
Megatron: http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/thu ... gatron.jpg or http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BWtoy-MegatronMetals.jpg coz I heard that even if this is more show acc. http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BWtoy-MegatronTM.jpg it falls easly apart, right?
Dinobot: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:Henkei_Dinobot.jpg although I've seen someone 3d printed better version so mb gotta ask him:D
Inferno: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BWtoy-Inferno.jpg but I can swear that I saw 2015 version or custom to buy somewhere mb this is it http://s558.photobucket.com/user/transf ... 2.jpg.html but still where to buy...
Silverbolt http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-ima ... erbolt.jpg this is the best version I've found yet dunno the name to find buy link;/ (wikia even do not mention him)
Tarantulas I think will go here with transmetals http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BWtoy-Taran ... smetal.jpg coz normal 10th anniv. is kinda ugly or wait for better version + http://i.imgur.com/TlL83.jpg someone did nice paint job on him or is it some kind of rare edition that I'm not aware off?
Depth Charge guess will go with this one... http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/d/d ... charge.jpg yet this unknown edition is also nice (couldnt find link to buy though) http://comicvine.gamespot.com/images/1300-2093254
Quickstrike 1998 ver. is the only one so http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BW-toy_Quickstrike.jpg as long as beast form is sweet the transform one head espcly looks bad and that fat body..
Dinobot II https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fitm%2FBeast-Wars-Tr%20...%201597626463%3C%2Fa%3E%3F guess this is the only one rls version? I wish I could do such custom http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons- ... nobot.html though..
Rampage 1998 is the only version http://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BW_Rampage_toy.jpg
Little addon as I like his look http://toysandcake.com/content.php?toy=70
&
Croco Megatron Bat Optimus poster:D

Yeah, thats how it usually goes
To answer that question fo yours regarding Beast MPs, they might make more eventually and even maybe even make MPs of toys we already got in the Legends line, but it will take time. They are only releasing one this year and cheetor next year so it might be a long wait if you choose to only get the MPs of those characters. I am not saying its less likely that they hapen, just that if they do happen it wont be for a while.

Hmm ye but the price for those existing ones will rise as hell, right? so dunno its a gamble. One per year or every of those I managed to find (still dunno if those are the best tho) and then sell it if better comes out when we age (but as I longer think bout it, while having newer versions who would buy older one..) me is 28,5 now so Cheetor at 29 and I listed like 14 more so 43 y.o and I'm done

Below you can see the SDCC 2016 version on the left and the Takara Legends version on the right
SDCC 2016 Fort Max and Sword
This item can still be ordered from Hasbro Toy Shop for $179.99.
Hasbro Asia Sword
This sword is the only one which is translucent.
So, for those who want a Fortress Maxmus with a sword, is the Takara one still worth the extra importing costs (bringing the figure to about $230 from importers) over getting the SDCC 2016 version which is $50 less for American fans?

But... it's Takara's Fort Max that has the most toy-accurate deco. About the only thing the Hasbro retail and SDCC Fort Maxes have over the Takara one in terms of toy-accuracy is the green shoulder window instead of Takara's blue shoulder window.william-james88 wrote:It seems like if someone wants to get the best hmage to the original toy, they should just get the SDCC version with the Hasbro asia sword.

I disagree, the toy doesnt have white on the shoulders and the sdes are grey ather than white, no?

Yeah, thats what I was tryign to get across in the article, since people may not think of getting the SDCC version ad just think Takara vs Hasbro. For the price the sword commands online, the SDCC version is really not a bad deal at all.

Ha ha, but seriously though, do you guys only eat ramen noodles, or have I been chatting it up with millionaires this whole time.
I almost got the sdcc version from hts but after shipping and taxes it was alittle over 200 bucks. So I got the basic hasbro one instead.

The white paint on the shoulders of Takara's Fort Max is meant to emulate the silver stickers that were on the original Fort Max's shoulders, which were represented in the Japanese cartoon (when his animation model was colored properly) by white triangles:william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But... it's Takara's Fort Max that has the most toy-accurate deco. But rather than just paint white triangles arbitrarily, Takara opted to adhere to the molded details on the shoulders (or once) and painted the white parts of the shoulders in accordance to said details.
Hasbro's leaving the shoulders mostly all blue on their versions looks more like how the G1 toy's shoulders were when unstickered, lacking in the sticker detail:
