Takara Tomy Transformers Legends Nightbird, Slipstream and Blackarachnia up for preorder

Got mine preordered 5min after posting on BBTS, 2 nightbirds, 1 blackarachnia and 1 slipstream!

Cant wait for the hasbro repaints!

im waiting to see what they look like. I really only want slipstream.

From my limited experience, amiami is the last to offer preorders, so I dont think we will see them for at least 3 months before the figures are due.

And the first to sell out.

Yesterday when these went up on TFSource, I checked BBTS and they were up there, too. Preordered 1 Nightbird and 2 of each of the others. I'm not holding out on a Hasbro release for these because I'm sure the colors for TakTomy will be better. Plus with the pedipalp/bra deal with Blackarachnia, Hasbro may not go for it. I hope Slipstream's colors happen like they did for Windblade. My Kabuki sisters are Windblade and Windshear. If made different enough, you'd have sisters. Slipstream and Jetstream.

Ordered Sleep Stream from BBTS last night.
Figured it was worth preordering now so my order confirmation would have that name on it.

Not every mainline TakaraTomy figure is guaranteed a Hasbro release, and vice-versa (the Club does not count).

We may not see Black Widow in the US as a retool of an Animated mold (we may see her as a BotCon figure though, as a BotCon 2001 Arcee remake ) but if my theory of Nightbird and Slipstream being pretools is correct (meaning their new parts are already built into the mold from the start), Hasbro may sneak them in one way or another.

Edit: Never mind, did some fudging, and I found an estimate for shipping costs. I don't mind waiting 10-30 days because I'm cheap, lazy, and live on the west coast. That should cut the 30 down to like 25ish right?

Anyhow, when do you think we'll see painted prototypes? I'm thinking maybe like August, maybe July at the earliest.

I bought once from HLJ and so far, customs left that order alone and it only cost 10 stupid $ for shipping! Japanese shipping is really, really cheap compared to the Canadian one.

The shipping and import fees from japan are about the same you would incur by buying from BBTS. So in the end, the only true cost that changes is the cost of the figure itself.

They don't do returns as policy but depending on the situation........just extending a little help at newbies who are ordering from them.

Accepts PayPal. Shipping depends on your location (they are Japan based). You pay only when stocks are available. Taxes paid depends on your country of origin. Packaging uses solid cardboard boxes with crushed paper.

Computation comes after the item is available though they do have a weight range scale reference in the about us section.

Btw, you can also combine (in advance) the shipping depending on the month of release. If release date changes, it gets readjusted. They DO NOT have a Pile of Lot system unfortunately.

Accumulated points earned per purchase can be used to "discount" future purchases.

How does AmiAmi compare to Anime-Export? They have the cheapest price of all: 2170 Yen.

I'm trying to figure out where the null rays peg into the arms, because of the "watermark" I can't tell if windblade's forearms are retooled.

Interesting to note, Blackarachnia's spider head has been remolded as well...

It looks like they might clip over the forearms, no retooling necessary.

From what I can see, it looks like with Nightbird and Slipstream, the light gray plastics on these prototypes are from their mold forbearers, while the dark gray plastics represent newly or remolded parts. With Blackarachnia, the clear translucent plastics seem to be the remolded parts, while the opaque plastics (both dark and light grays) are from the original sculpt of the mold.

I never thought I'd need a Blackarachnia or TFA mold until now! I think in beastmode the palps will look better rotated 180º.
