Takara Tomy Transformers Legends Nightbird, Slipstream and Blackarachnia Revealed

-looks at blackarachnia- ya know Japan...you really didn't have to retool her to give her her giant DDs...while it is one of her ...features....still.

Nightbird and Slipstream look fantastic, but I'm sad to say that BA is crap. I was hoping for a big smooth bulbous abdomen, claw hands, non-Animated robot legs, and somehow putting her spider legs on her robot arms. It's just not retooled enough for my liking to pass for BW BA. Still looks like an Animated design slightly more faithful to the source material

Slipstream looks cool but I wish she was a Voyager. Oh well, she looks good anyway.

I already have Animated Blackarachnia but that looks good enough that I might get her anyway and come up with a new identity for her. The palps are kinda unconvincing, but this IS a prototype. Also, there are spiders with bulbous palps like that, given their function in robot mode it makes sense- Blackarachnia DID have them in the show after all.

Nice! I wonder what are the chances of Hasbro carrying these three?

Yup, this won't be seeing a release outside of Japan me thinks... which means Takara had to settle. Which means an original Generations Blackarachnia will not be happening anytime soon.

If you had to pick which BW character do you think deserves a new mold?
I kinda think it's odd that we haven't yet seen Primal or Megatron.

They already did for the 10 year anniversary it's was those weird techno-organic ones that had cyber planet keys. Weird but still counts. Not to mention the original primal and Megatron are still the best and hold up. Are there spots of improvement? Yes but it's not a necessity.

I bet this will be a 3 pack not unlike the United three packs that have been happening like the seekers. 3 toys, $100-125 pricepoint

Not quite accurate. They have "retooled" parts. Not necessarily lazy repaints.

Seriously though, I don't own any of those molds, so if they look nice enough when colored and I find them for a decent price, I might bite.

Well technically they remolded her torso and head to be more BW-accurate. I just wish they'd gone the extra mile and given her pincer hands. That said, I'm sure someone on ShapeWays could do that...

They each have their own number, so I would be surprised if they come together. These are unrelated to the Combiner Hunters set.

I don't think he implied the Legends fembots were a boxset, just that they all sold out pretty fast. The individual remark was referencing the CH set. They were two separate thoughts

This isn't quite the Slipstream I want (I would have liked her to resemble the Classics Seeker mould more), but it's the Slipstream we have and I'm not gonna quibble about it.

Nightbird brings me right back to that horrible 3rd party version. I rarely regret a purchase, but even on sale it wasn't worth it. This one looks so much better.

I'm not sure about Splitstream. I'll wait for clearer pictures because let's face it, the Windblade mold is not the best around. Spider bot #2, I will pass because that spider mode look stupid. Nightbird, depending if she's different enough from Arcee would be a sure buy.

I already got 3 different nightbirds. Im not sure I need a 4th one based on a concept someone already did. I would highly recommend the MGT nightbird which is only 50 bucks.

For Slipstream, those fans on thecwings gotta go. The mold works quite well, but if they dont remove the fans, total failure.

Blackarachnia seems to be the winner of the 3. I always felt the animated molds work great for CHUG if you gett rid of the goofy heads and replace them with more serious looking ones.

Oh dear god, I must have these, I could maybe skip on Nightbird, but Slipstream and Blackarachnia must join my collection!

I might actually preorder these I want to see some color pictures.

Next we'll be hearing the figure is not staying true to its animation roots of actually transforming into a car and not just being a non transforming robot.

Slipstream,BA and NB is gonna sell like hotcakes regardless as the rest of the fandom don't really care on such trivial things so long as Tomy releases them and in more or less animation accurate paint apps.

I like all three of these. Indeed, as others have said, it is nice to be getting an official Slipstream. My Prime Starscream can quit being transgender. (If s/he so chooses, that is. )

The others I am less bothered about. I much prefer my Beast Machines Black Arachnia, though the animated one is fantastic. Nightbird would be cool, but I don't know that I need her in my collection in this manner. Though, maybe I could use the head and swap onto another fembot to make a more accurate Nightbird...

Not that I expect anyone here to be clairvoyant, but how long until y'all think we'll see preorders listed for these?

Still I would've preferred if they made Slipstream from a retool of any version of Seeker than of Windblade.

I'm not fond of Nightbird but I should buy her as well as the other two. Not sure what to do with my Telemocha Black arachnia repaint now tough.

Somebody asked it before but anybody knows when these ladies should be release?

All three will be mine despite not being overly fond of Nightbird.
