It's "the mystery of convoy", if you will.

Yeah, "Convoy (Anniversary Clear Ver.) no Nazo!"SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Looks like the toy's name is "Convoy (Anniversary Clear Ver.)", with the "Mystery" part being the name of the campaign event.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the similarly-titled video game.

Well Convoy was presented as disembodied floating grey head that flashed seizure inducing colors.

I always hated the name Convoy. It's bad enough for a truck, but even worse for a lion.

Trying to figure out what deal with that metal pin in his foot is, but based on the very loose translation made by Google Translate, that thing on his foot seems to be part of this campaign event.Rated X wrote:Looks like he stepped on a nail or something.
Like, I think it's a way to tell if a person who got this toy is some kind of winner or something. Like, the person who gets the figure with the pin in its foot is the big winner of something or whatnot.
Kinda like those soda bottle contest with the inside of the bottle caps saying if one's a winner or not.
That's my guess, at least. For all we know, it could be something else entirely. Like, "remove the pin to blow up the world!" or something.

But a magnet for what, we wonder?
Could this figure be for standing on something much larger, and which requires it to be magnetized to it?
So many questions.

Meh.

Not a stupid question at all. I thought some of his proportions were slightly different but I realized it was a trick of the eye. The translucent plastic and change of color in general creates a bit of an optical illusion. Kind of makes my brain go "WTF?" after having been used to seeing him in only one other basic color scheme.
Now as for this whole "gimmick" thing... y'all have fun figuring that out or making whatever goofy guesses about it. I think everyone should start thinking along the lines of Bakugan for an answer though. That's where I'd place my bets. Obviously it's not spring loaded and wont transform by itself when placed on some metal card or plate but maybe whatever he has to come into contact with does have that gimmick.

How odd.

Also, the pin is not the question, but the answer. The pin is the key. All hail pin.

I had to cancel my order on kapowtoys, shipping was too abusive, and got a nice deal on bigbadtoystore... $22.38 total
I wonder if is magnetic or just metallic pin

The AoE Power Attackers and One-Steps seem to have them as well.

Really? I thought the pins were used to activate features on the giant "Stomp and Chomp" Grimlock that's coming out later this summer.

Takara's Battle Command Optimus Prime also seems to have the sensor feature that Chomp & Stomp Grimlock has, so it could be for that as well.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Apparently the pin is for an as of yet not released feature for the AOE mobile app.

Well I already got mine, and I did test it, is a metallic pin, nothing magnetic there, nothing inside to be activated in this toy, might be part of a set or what all of you think already about AoE grimlock. Besides, is a must have figure, astonished looking.
