Sadly still no word for a Nautica toy.

I'm afraid you are mistaken. These new Fembots are just the Generations Deluxe molds released in the final one of the following categories:Shuttershock wrote:I guess that would scale better with Metroplex.
Sabrblade wrote:the term "Legends" has been applied to so many different things over the years:
1989: Legends - a Kmart-exclusive G1 subline containing the Classic Pretenders without their shells
2004: Transformers Legends - an anthology book containing prose stories based on G1, the Beast Era, and Armada
2005-2010: Legends class (originally "Legends of Cybertron") - a size class of 3-inch-tall mass retail figures; later became integrated into the "Cyberverse" subline as "Legion class"
2012-Present: Transformers Legends - a mobile game for Android and Apple platforms
2013-Present: Legends class - A new size class introduced in the Generations Thrilling 30 line that's bigger than the Cyberverse Commander class but smaller than Scout class
2014: Transformers: Legends - The third Japanese line to be a counterpart to Hasbro's Generations line (the first being United and the second being Takara's Generations line), beginning with the mid-2014 Thrilling 30 toys, and themed around Beast Wars in packaging and media (i.e. - the manga).

Oh, silly me. I thought we had reigned in our ADD-like excessive re-branding and were sticking with consistent terminology. My mistake.

It is consistent in a sense, but Hasbro and TakaraTomy do not share terminology most of the time. Besides, Commanders, Legions and anything inbetween have either been branded as EZ-Collection or sold in 2-packs in regular lines. "Legends" never had meaning there.

Right, I had forgotten that this was a Takara announcement.

My thoughts exactly, and she's the only femme of the bunch I'd actually be wanting to pick up from the store. Can't have a complete Lost Light crew without the savant

Yeah I want a Nautica. Chromia turned out to be a most unpleasant character that has seen no repercussions for her deplorable acts. I really don't understand that. Anyway, I have first edition Arcee that will stand in for her anyway. It's the new, unique and interesting Nautica I want. But no.

Fanboys with degenerate minds came up with that word so they have an excuse to put breasts on a robot. Sickos.

shockblast2 wrote:Fembots? How can a ROBOT be female or male???
Ask the ones who designed them back in 1985/1986. Better yet, look up Mighty Orbots.
Posted by Downbeat on September 26th, 2014 @ 9:36am CDT
As for Chromia, RID 33 spoilers: Windblade doesnt trust her anymore. She's living on her own. Windblade only trusts Wheeljack at this point.

Maybe she'll come out in a wave with Riptide also. I've got a fondness for boatformers.

Fembots are at least 100 years old. If it disgust you, why don't you just leave the civilised world and join a far away monastery?

I'm confused. Looks pretty accurate to me:
Or are you saying the Hasbro version:

In which case, yes.
I just noticed he has his Headmaster stats inside the cockpit. Totally awesome.
Also, darn it, now I need G1 Brainstorm.

It's too simplistic, a class too big and i really hate those wings.
I also think they could have done a better job with the headmaster gimmick.

Yes, because a figure representing her weird relationship with Dan Witwicky totally wouldn't be creepy.

Yeah... It actually does sound really absurd and quite creepy, now that I think about it. A spandex-clad 12-year-old wears a suit of robot armor and is psychically linked to his two-story-tall alien robot mom?

True, but what sets this apart is the replacement of Flanker aka Sky High with Phaser.

daww, that headmaster's adorable; looks like he wants to be somebody's friend.

I definitely prefer the Hasbro Tailgate, though.

But hey, IDW brainstorm, that alone makes it worthwile for me
It is actually similar to the system used for the smaller Headmasters: Hosehead, Nightbeat, Siren, Fangry, Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay: they all used a single tumbler due to size limitations.

It looks like there's just a spring and a clip on the techspec panel

Same principle, no? One single panel or tumbler for all 3 specs.

No i'm not denying that, I was just commenting it's a springy panel. until now I thought the tech specs were the details in the cockpit, like in place of the controls, not a panel that goes over it when the headmaster's plugged in .

Still, that new and simpler system on Brainstorm is a nice hommage without creating a costly gimmick.

The Takara Jetfire looks sharp and won't be a crumbling mess in 20 years. I'd prefer no chrome and more paint apps I think

I know! I took one look at the Hasbro one at the store then went home and pre-ordered the Takara one. NOT going to deal with another BM Jetstorm fiasco. I can wait til December for it to arrive.
