Import site Anime-Export has revealed their preorder listings of the upcoming RID toyline and they've also provided release dates and toy images. Unfortunately the images are not the best quality, but they do give us our first look at the Fixit figure.

http://www.anime-export.com/index?prdcttype=preorder

Most of the figures are due to see release in Japan in March.
You can see the listing here, and we've mirrored the image of Fixit below:

Wow... really nothing new. I don't know why Takara is re-releasing the Animated Dinobots (terrible designs).
Fixit... actually looks kinda cool. He, Bee and Steeljaw will be the only figures I get. Perhaps another one of those Decepticons too.
If they Release a "warrior" Sideswipe, I'll get him, but it doesn't look like he'll get a figure.

I'm not digging the figures at all.

can't really agree with you totally on that. The toys were show accurate and pretty decent. Maybe Snarl was not up to snuff, but he was ok. Do you mean animated's overall style?

I think with a metallic and realistic paint scheme Swoop, and maybe even Snarl, would look really good and probably fit in with generations.

I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. This is going to be a series where I like the toys but care little for the show I think.

That's a shame, because I bought TFP because I liked the show.

Why does Transformers Robots In Disguise TAV-02 Grimlock give us a picture of Strongarm?
Also, why would they blacken the Strongarm images when they appear in that listing I just mentioned?
Also, the blackened images contain a vehicle mode image with a turret at the top and it does not appear anywhere else.
Lastly, the black silouette of Strong arm at the top makes her look awesome.

FIxit is much more interesting of a toy than I thought, and I really like the vehicle molds. Oh and I did not find Drift anywhere.

I just hope Fixit is actually in scale with the others and not an excessively huge Warrior/One Step figure.

Is it just me or does this image of Warrior Grimlock have 2 different molds showing?

The toy at the bottom left looks nothing like the bigger image

I'm pretty sure that's just control art like the one on Fixit's preorder page.

Grimlock and Strongarm had their images switched.

william-james88 wrote:Also, why would they blacken the Strongarm images when they appear in that listing I just mentioned?
The blackened one is "R Strongarm", a redeco of the regular Strongarm blackened out to hide its deco.

william-james88 wrote:Also, the blackened images contain a vehicle mode image with a turret at the top and it does not appear anywhere else.
That's her robot mode gun. It can attach to the top of her vehicle mode via a little hole:

Haha, Sabreblade, I know I can always count on you! Oh and this explains another point someone had about why Grimlock would be fighting Strongarm. This could be another character or another version of the character that would create the animosity.

And yeah, that movie related news should go in the movie thread (where it might already be). Dont know if an admin should remove it from this thread.

There appear to be handlebars on the BACK, and little pointy bits that might be drills sticking out the front, plus I'm not entirely sure if there really are four wheels or if there's only two. Whatever it is, it's kinda weird.

For some reason it makes me think of some sort of chariot... Well, actually my first thought was some sort of mechanized dogsled, but it has wheels and not runners.

Wait, Fixit looks like he has wheels on the insides of his arms/wrists, which would add to the wheel count to make four.

The placement of the handlebars (if they are handlebars) and those drills are really making this tricky to figure out.

Or maybe he's some kind of a drill-mounted lawnmower. :P

Looks like four wheels, but not enough to be sure.

And yeah, I'm with you, this one's confusing, hence why I had to ask.

You can say lawnmower, I'm sticking with chariot, if only because the idea of hooking him up to Grimlock amuses me.

He'd be a pretty small chariot. I think the dogsled idea is more comparable size-wise but, again, them drills.

Pretty sure he's some sort of Segway-style ATV. Google it, there's a bunch of different examples of this. It's a little like the Segway Centaur which still technically requires standing in the back despite having four wheels and front handlebars.

They were called "Hyperchange Heroes" first before the "Three Step Changers" name came about. Now that it's back, it remains to be seen which name is final.

Look like Hasbro continue the AoE trend of having "stomp n changes" and 1 step changers along the regular deluxes and voyagers.

I accept those because they are still transformers and can be fun. However, I do hope they stop producing non transforming toys like those "shampoo bottles" "action" figures, or those pointless dino riders.

I'm really hoping that tail is detached from Grimlock in robot mode because that's what they had to do to fit him in the box and someone just screwed up, rather than removing the tail and setting it aside being part of how he transforms. I can put up with a little partsforming, but I do insist the parts go back on at some point.

These designs, character and transformation, look real kid friendly. And I'm OK with that.
I hope they give us some legion/mini size toys too. Are they? Do we already know that?
More Cyberverse please.

I'm also interested in finding out more about how the badge-scan/app gimmick works.
