People who have found Kingdom Blaster, does he have "battle damage?"

o.supreme wrote:As for the paint in Galvatron, that is odd. Thankfully the Kingdom one I have had correct shoulders in package. I don't really care about the paint. However, the fact that as Will mentioned the Leader Class now ( and possibly all others eventually) will have closed box packaging, or the small window will be open ( no plastic) probably in 2023, does make it harder to spot defects or even if the package has been tampered with and you may be getting something else completely.
I guess the only way to avoid some of those in problems is to order online.
Still...I bet next year, complaint calls are going to go up significantly, ( Getting the wrong leader class toy etc). And I don't think $5O worth of Botbots is fair compensation.
The tampering issue could be solved by something as simple as using a customized piece of tape, instead of the generic one they currently use. It could just have the Transformers logo on it or something. I don't get why they won't just do that.

Loving Laser Prime to bits cannot wait for my pre-order to be fulfilled.
Starscream looks pretty good. Interesting that he comes with 4 null rays, even though he can only use 2. Or is the second pair meant to be attached to the shoulder pads only?
Wasn't Cliffjumper supposed to have painted windshield and windows instead of the translucent ones? Did something change?

Also not keen on the sealed boxes but it doesnt make much difference with the amount of selects stuff in sealed boxes, bought from online.
would be great if the coneheads on the back of starscreams packaging got rereleased in SS86 with them still being really hard to find here. I must have completely missed the Takara Tomy releases of Runabout and Thrust if they ever happened.
Overall I'm liking the legacy packaging art/style.

I don't see complaints increasing. Titans and Commanders, two more expensive classes (thus higher incentive for thievery) have had closed boxes since inception. Have there been complaints on people not finding the right commander class toy in the box when they bring it home from Target?

I just got mine in the mail and he does not have any battle damage, he looks just like he does in the stock photos for the legacy re-release.

Makes me feel like an idiot for getting him. Galvy is one of my faves, but I absolutely hate it when they pull crap like this.
The latest Kingdom ones are correctly assembled. I don't know about the 'clean' part, though.
The new pics show him without lots if extra paint apps, most of them being the battle damage. However, the pics also show other toys with different paint apps than we know they have. So we can't know for sure. Wont hep that he's closed box and thus you can't see if the shoulders on your are fixed or not.
The later batches of Kingdom Galvatron have the corrected shoulders, and all of the Selects versions are also correct. Early samples of the “Behold, Galvatron!” version also seem to be fine. The error at the assembly level for this mold seems to have been already addressed. I would be surprised to see it pop up again for the Legacy release, honestly. Who knows on the colors, though. We’ve learned we can’t trust the promotional photography to perfectly match the final product, but I would love it if SS86 BB Cliffjumper turns out to have a running change to restore the clear windows, or if Galvatron now lacks the battle damage for the Legacy release. I would double (actually triple) dip for that, lol!

Yup. Those definitely look like 5mm Minicon hard points. Which is weird since this is supposed to be Animated Bulkhead G1-ified and the reuse ion the mold is Prime Beast Hunters Optimus Prime neither of which had any Minicon interaction or such ports.
Unless BH Prime's weapons use those ports for something, this is either a very random inclusion, or there's another planned usage for that mold that may use those ports.
Armada Demolishor for port reference:

The shells can be articulated. Rather than splitting in half front to back, only have the upper torso split. This allows for hip and leg articulation while the shoulders stay a part of the upper back portion.
The inner robot itself may have to be scaled down a bit as they may only be able to fit in the uppoer body, but the focus should be on the outer shell.
I also think that's the way they could do it.
Such a body with a core class robot could be at the voyager price point I think.
For more "important" pretenders with transforming shells like Bludgeon (because no way he'd remain a simple pretender) and Thunderwing, they should be at the very least leader class.
THANK YOU! That's just how I feel they should work!
Though, how large are the Core class compared to Micromasters (I haven't found any of the former in my country)? If the latter are still smaller, they could do some Deluxe shells with that core robot size.
blackeyedprime wrote:plus where is his Legacy Energon gimmick?
Huh, good question. Maybe it's meant to be the cannon? It's the only thing that's translucent...
Overcracker wrote:Which is weird since this is supposed to be Animated Bulkhead G1-ified
Prime. It's meant to be Prime Bulkhead. Though I understand the confusion; the vehicle mode looks closer (if you squint very hard) to Animated's than Prime's. Which is one of the main reasons I dislike this mold with a passion.

The standard Core class size is roughly twice as large as a Micromaster. That said, the Bumblebee Studio Series Ravage figure is about half as big as the other Core figures, and the rumored SS86 Rumble figure will probably be Micromaster-sized. Core class is a price point and not a true size class, after all.

I wonder though, if Hasbro will just take the easy route and just make attachable armour pieces for various Transformers (possibly attaching via the same ports used by the "WFC" toys), which would simulate Pretender shells?

Maybe, but don’t get your hopes up. All samples found in the wild so far have opaque windows. These could just be earlier test shots used for the promotional and box photography, though a running change isn’t impossible.

He's already out in Asia, he doesn't. These are the same stock images from the back of the box that showed him with clear windows.
As for Galvatron, wasn't there a leaker that said Legacy Soundwave would be painted differently from the retail version despite being a repack (which cause a ton of debate). Could it be that Hasbro is thinking "new line, new paint"? So perhaps Legacy --> WFC = repack, WFC --> Legacy = Repaint? With all the BB stuff being repainted this time around instead of repacked it wouldn't surprise me at all if something changed at Hasbro for 2022, they could be doing this for all Movie incarnations next year regardless of line. Not saying this is definitely the case, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were either.

Agreed, especially when the likes of Walmart, Target and Amazon are using their own ships to bring in stuff. Wouldn't surprise me if they're being loaded on a ship right now since it takes around two months to cross the Pacific by cargo ship and then they have to unload, get the stuff into their main warehouse, send it to the distribution warehouses and then finally into stores. All in all that's about 3 months of work right there.

Very weird for just 1 toy in an entire line to show à may release. While the classes are independently of oneanother, the first wave usually comes out within the same month.

Maybe, but unlikely. One of the selling points of Pretenders was that they're basically two figures in one; detachable shells would just be more loose parts for kids to lose, especially if they had no function in alt-mode. Also, it would leave the robot joints exposed for articulation, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of the shell.
Still, not a bad idea. It would veer closer to the comic depiction where every section of the Pretender armor opened vertically, and if the pieces could somehow be integrated into the alt-modes as extra armor or weapons it would add more play value. For example, I'd love Pretender Monsters where the shell could be used as organic armor for Monstructor - it'd definitely fit the eldritch vibe that team always had. And it'd probably be more stable in term of weight than the shell-as-figure design would be.
I'd still prefer the action figure with the hollow torso for a Core/Micromaster robot, mind, but it has merit.

From my experience, retail store sites are whack unless it's Forbidden Planet. Toys R Us, for example, lists every Transformer on their site for my country as sold out except Cyberverse One Step Megatron and Spark Armor Shockwave; yet these last few weeks the only figures I could find in my city were Rhinox, Cyclonus and whatever Ultra class Cyberverse that particular store has (last one I saw had Thunderhowl, Bumblebee and Hot Rod, if I recall).

No, I doubt the figures are in stores right now and hiding in the back. I do think they are en route as we speak or possibly even making their way into the distribution warehouses already. Legacy will be new packaging, so easier for retailers to see, "oh this is different and a new line, we should really put out these older ones we still have first. For Studio Series there is no packaging change, so easier for them to slip forward so to speak.
Also with the previous SS Voyager wave having the Sweeps as army builders, I can see how the Soundwave/Hot Rod wave would show up earlier than the other Studio Series classes. Those Sweeps went fast around me.

I have nearly a dozen of the tetrajet seeker mold, and I've been army building some of the SS86 guys, so a Blaster redeco is an easy sacrifice if it comes to it. My preference would be for a box set like the GS Micromaster collection we got during Earthrise, but I'll take what I can get.

The UK retailers started to ship them before Xmas, so some will have received before or just after. I collected mine today and its got what would be minor damage (torso nubbin) but it's in a main focal area, I could shear it off and paint it but for the money it should be good out of the box even if there was a 3rd party cartoon accurate chest attachment I think it would still irk me knowing it is there.

I couldn't make it very far, sounds like the standard complaints from the hardcore adult collector with high expectations: too boxy, too many hollow parts, looks too much like a toy. It's a G1 Skids with clear cartoon and toy inspiration at the ~$20 price point. It is what it is. I would rather have less complexity and more intuitive transformations, and I'm willing to put up with hollow parts and other compromises to have that. For everyone else, there she the MP line and add-on packs. "This plastic toy looks like a plastic toy" never works for me as a criticism.

Agreed. Especially since there's a high-end alternative on the market concurrently.
